+ they're codependent. Back then, and even now (but Hoeru's growing out of it. Kuon isn't) idk what their home life is like to make them be like that tho so uhm *insert bullshit reason*

+ they have a skewed sense of what's normal/appropriate between brothers. Probably weren't reprimanded/corrected as kids so they just kept doing it. What's sweet as kids is kinda weird now as adults~ idk something like having no sense of personal space or boundaries.

I like this one cz i can just imagine hoeru sharing smth he did with kuon to the gozyu team and everyone's just in shock with their kind of brotherly love mmcmfmd

Very delusional scenario but if they still got along after reuniting as adults, they'd probably take baths together ❤️ Though hoeru's starting to mature so he'd probably say smth like how this is smth they shouldn't be doing but kuon coerces him to stay in the bath longer with him anyway~

Sorry really vague and no concrete examples (can't think of one for brothers-to-brothers, only for sisters-to-sisters mfmfmd) but you get my point right 🥹?

+ Kuon's feelings, worries, and thoughts abt his brother were warped to be super intense after the No One World abduction

examples:

- that thing where older siblings feel a little sad when they notice how much their younger sib is growing and starting to want to be independent -> warping to -> Kuon not wanting Hoeru to leave him AT ALL

- that familial love for your sibling -> sick kind of love and obsession for hoeru. ("Hoeru's my love, my hope, my puppet" uhm! Ok!! Whatever you say Mr. Freaky!)

- Younger siblings being your responsibility. You're their teacher, their second parent, their most available guide (eldest child in an Asian household things ❤️) -> Hoeru grew up to have beliefs that dont align with Kuon's. Kuon thinks he is misguided and wrong. He's the only one that can set him right.

+ As kids, Kuon's praises and sweet touches would be like liquid gold to hoeru. Even if they have a weird relationship now, I'm pretty sure if Kuon praised him, Hoeru would feel like putty inside. It's hard to break off from old wants 🫶

+ not an HC but do you know the whole thing the mom and daughter in EEAAO had? The daughter in the "Alpha universe" was pushed to the limit to be excellent that she became a nihilist and wants to destroy the universe. She seeks out for her mom in this one universe who is awful at everything because she has the greatest potential (the whole "you suck so much that you have nowhere to go but up" thing) and is the only one capable of foiling her universe-ending plans.

The womanfailure mom = Hoeru

The powerful nihilist daughter = Kuon

Everybody who's played Undertale/Undertale Yellow knows that in order to get through fights without hurting/killing monsters, you need to use ACTs. What you might not know is that (at least in UTY, I don't recall if this is a feature in UT) what Clover does when they ACT and how the enemy responds changes if the enemy is hurt enough to display their injured sprite.

Usually it's nothing too crazy. For example, Clover (hypnotizing +) singing to an Insomnitot will meet its SPARE conditions and have Insomnitot remark that Clover is a good singer, whereas if Clover first injures then sings to an Insomnitot, it will be too distracted to notice Clover's little ditty and will also tell Clover "You need vocal lessons." Or doing 'ACT: Touch' on Cactony will have Clover give Cactony a careful pat in-between two spines, but doing 'FIGHT: ACT: Touch' will have Clover prick their finger on Cactony's bristles. It's a fun little detail that most wouldn't notice because people generally either choose to focus on only sparing or fighting the enemy instead of trying to "play" with the enemy when they're injured.

It does fall apart a bit when you come across Sousborg in the Steamworks in a Neutral/No Mercy Run. Sousborg has a unique gimmick where, in order to meet his SPARE conditions, you have to instruct him on how to cook an egg. Unfortunately, the devs likely weren't expecting someone to do the whole "injure then ACT" deal with Sousborg*. As a result, these injury ACTs don't fit the actions that Clover can choose from the menu. For example, doing 'ACT: Crack,' which would normally have Clover instruct Sousborg to crack the egg on the edge of the pan, will instead display the text "You toss Sousborg's cooking into the garbage." which... has nothing to do with cracking anything.

The ACT menu will still progress as though Clover instructed Sousborg on proper egg preparation if they choose the correct prompts (Crack -> Fry -> Season). Some of the lines for the instructions will even be the same as they were if Clover didn't initially injure Sousborg. Sousborg also doesn't try to fight back either if Clover is ACTing against him. It's just a fun and interesting thing I noticed. Here's some screenshots from the fight, as well as what ACTs yielded which results.

An example of an ACT (Bake) displaying the same exact text that it would if Sousborg wasn't injured and Clover attempted the ACT. No egg was ever cracked, so there is also no "puppy" to throw into the oven.

This is what Sousborg's bullet box looks like when Clover does an "injury ACT." It lasts long enough for him to say his line, but once you press X to progress the text, it disappears and he doesn't try to attack you.

Another example of a selected ACT not displaying the correct action for the prompt chosen. Nothing about choosing 'ACT: Boil' should have Clover toss Sousborg's cooking into the garbage.

All the ACTs from this battle that I noticed. Note that the text in parentheses is what Sousborg responds with. Unlike other enemies where their response directly correlates to what ACT Clover chooses (even if injured), robotic enemies (when injured) will always respond with a random line that doesn't have anything to do with the ACT that Clover chooses. Like they're defaulting to programmed responses. For example, choosing ACT: Bake can have Sousborg say "D../inner _:wiLl be <r-Ready .> Soon." or "Sw/>.eet _or SAVory?" at random (I just put down the first one I noticed when I was fighting him).

*Or perhaps the ACTs that Clover could do were supposed to change entirely if Sousborg was injured, which differs from the ACT options in the other battles. Usually the ACTs stay the same but change how Clover performs those actions. I speculate if this was the intention, then they might've said something along the lines of "Wash" and "Toss," to fit how Clover can either wash Sousborg's oil off their hands or toss his cooking into the garbage.

Vio and Shadow helped me with my work again :) We had to write a vignette (basically a short story with only two characters) and *sigh* yeah... I chose Vio and Shadow. Fluffy? Nope :) Would've been angsty asf if I didn't remade it to match like slice-of-life style :D

My computer science teacher plays Nintendo music during class and i love it sm ^^ So far she played Courage from TP (i love that song it makes me wanna cry), Mario Galaxy, and a lot of pkmn soundtracks :D Since I only played Kanto and Johto so far, i didn't recognize much but I knew it's from pkmn. And that day, she played a soundtrack of a route from Leaf Green. I don't know what route it is, ill try to find it, but I wanted to cry. It, it brought such nostalgia and memories i wanted to cry right there in the middle of the class. Leaf green is my first pkmn game and I love it sm and hearing that soundtrack was so nostalgic 😭😭😭 I literally barely held back my tears until it was over and she played another soundtrack from pkmn again but with no deep meaning for me. LEAF GREEN MY BELOVED I MISS YOU 😭😭😭 VENUSAUR MY SON I HOPE YOU'RE STILL ALIVEEEEE 😭😭😭💚💚💚

I had to edit the vignette for my teacher to grade it and it was actually so hard 😭 Im bad at editing my own work and it was so hard bcuz i love to detail stuff but a vignette is supposed to be short. I barely made it. When I kinda did it, i showed it to my teacher and this is exactly what happened:

This time my computer science teacher played pkmn soundtracks again, but this time there was no that caused such nostalgia from me. I tried to take my headphones to find what route it is, but my headphones didn't work so i had to leave it for later.

I spedran all of my work as fast as I could just so i can be free for spring break :D I was actually barely able to do it and im so happy :3 I was literally staring at the clock and zapped out of the classroom when the bell rang, i really wanted to leave bcuz this week wasn't really nice to me :(

this is kinda a continuation of this post talking about how well kuukou knows his loved ones that he’s able to find them wherever they are, but one of kuukou’s arcs comes to an end here and in the movie where it’s not just how well kuukou knows them, it’s jyushi and hitoya taking comfort in kuukou staying who he is as they know him and it’s also ichiro in the movie giving his brothers an entire monologue about the kuukou he knows lol

still???? it’s interesting that rarely anyone looks for kuukou, it’s always shakku looking for kuukou (and always finds him, an indicator for how well he knows his own son) so when we got that jyushi hitoya dt, circular labyrinth, it’s jyushi looking for kuukou and jyushi was unable find him, indicating he doesn’t know kuukou as well as he might think 🤔

🧸I like to think that Muu was just as shy/unwilling to leave her comfort zone as a kid, despite doing a lot of activities with her parents. This, combined with her parents giving her whatever dolls she asked for, results in her clinging to those for support. She has names and personalities for dozens of dolls, and talks to them all the time. She has one in particular she carries around everywhere she goes when she gets scared. The habit lasts a bit into her older years, but she's so downright cute that it only ever earns her doting instead of scolding.

💔 Immediately following the T2 attacks, I feel like Mahiru’s condition is bad enough that Shidou warna everyone there's a high chance she won't make it through the night. There's a solemn, grieving silence as everyone prepares themselves for another death. Shidou is wracked with guilt because he doesn't know if he can save her. Fuuta is dealing with his own injuries, but he and Amane get a kind of survivor's guilt that it could have easily been them on their deathbed. (And now with canon support) Kotoko didn't mean to kill anyone, just rough them up, so she's haunted by guilt/panic that she tries to cover up with a brave face. Kazui takes it the hardest, nearly breaking down in his cell because he blames himself for not getting to her in time.
