Is life a gift or a test?

A dream or a nightmare?

A destination or a rite of passage?

Deep questions to ponder on… 🤔

I was always of the belief that life was a wonderful gift, an incredible journey of exploration and self discovery, which of course, it is. But lately I’m leaning more towards the thought that this is more of a test and a tough one at that.

In seeking truth, I came to realise that life as we currently experience it, was made increasingly difficult by the evil powers that control our perception of reality. Everything I do, is for the purpose of advancing this realisation amongst others, so we can reject their dystopian plans and start imagining and creating a better reality for ourselves. This remains my purpose.

However, lately I have been absorbed by the thought that perhaps physical life is just a complex rite of passage to something better. Maybe it’s just a moral test, an ongoing exam of our priorities, of our principles and virtues, or lack thereof.

Is that why evil has lured us down the immoral path?

The materialistic existence?

The hedonistic lifestyles?

The virtue-less behaviours?

Because they want us failing the ‘test’?

Forever at ‘school’, incapable of graduating, unable to pass on to whatever comes after this, which given the toughness of the acceptance criteria, must be truly amazing! I imagine it’s what we would refer to as ‘heaven’!

Suddenly things make sense from a different perspective; what if destroying the moral fabric of humanity was all about keeping us entrapped in a limited 3D physical reality?

Failing over and over and over again to pass on to greater realms of existence?

That would be pure evil! But then again, who is truly controlling this world?

But what if by some miraculous set of circumstances, humanity was finally beginning to figure all of this out and was about to experience an awakening, a transformation, a final understanding of what it takes to pass the test?

What if humanity was about to graduate?

What could evil do in their desperate attempt to prevent our ‘ascension’?

They would try to capture our soul by disconnecting us from the divine, by merging us with technology, by uploading our consciousness to the ‘cloud’, by stealing our humanness and creating a technological, posthuman dystopian nightmare. That’s what evil would do. That’s what evil IS doing.

Life might be a test or a gift, or both, either way, we are here for a reason and that reason is NOT to cease being who we are, the reason is for us to become the BEST version of our human selves, in order to transcend to something better.

Let’s defend OUR world at all costs... I for one, refuse to belong to the generation of humans that gave up their God-given soul, for a synthetic immortality. 🤔

A few Way too many words before we move on...

As we have seen by now, after all thirteen dates, there is a clear favourite: Malte. No date has had as much impact on Rachel as that one. What makes him a clear favourite is definitely not just the high attraction score. I took the attraction as a given and just a small part of the total equation. What mattered most to me was the way Rachel and her date interacted with each other. Did they keep the conversation going? Was it just talk, or were other things initiated, and how did she respond to that? Also, the relationship score. Did they manage to build that up? Quickly? Were they still acquaintances by the end, or did they become friends? And what about wishes? Did they roll wishes involving each other? Romantic ones, even? All those things combined clearly had Malte come out on top. If their attraction score had been low, but the date would have gone the way it did, and all other things would have been the same, he would still have been the favourite.

Before we even started this thing, I already said, "This is not a bachelor challenge." This is a girl trying to find love through a dating website. Realistically, what a girl like Rachel would do when using a website like that is go on a date with the guy whose message and profile appeal to her the most and see if that works out first before moving on to the next. I didn't do that in this case because thirteen guys were sent to me specifically for this purpose, so I wanted to give them all a chance. However, Rachel would never go on a whole second round of dates with the good ones if there was a clear favourite. Rachel, being Rachel, would see where things would lead with the favourite first. So, as much as I would have liked the good ones to have another chance, it would have been out of character for Rachel now that Malte turned out to be such a firm favourite.

Like I mentioned before, if there hadn't been a clear favourite, I would have done a second round with all the good ones. Now that there is, it's a second date with Malte to see how they both feel. If they still hit it off, that is that. If they don't, she'll still go on second dates with the good ones (to begin with Alfie and Trey).

That said, there was another thing: I missed my pre-written script. Rachel dropping down exhausted on her bed after the thirteen dates was also me, a little bit. I didn't want another gameplay date, but I did want Rachel and Malte to decide for themselves if the first date chemistry was still there. So, I got them together for a "gameplay trial date". This was pretty much them, outside, together, left to their own devices. If they clicked, I'll show you a scripted second success date; if they didn't, I'll show you a scripted second fail date.
