Howdy everyone!

The What2Finish Mods have decided to do a mini-auction to continue the win-win of motivating creators to finish works they’ve started or wish to do, as well as earning funds for charity!

This upcoming event’s highlight will be to assist with donating to #StopAsianHate. This cause has been brought to media attention with the recent shootout in Atlanta, Georgia USA. Unfortunately, this pattern of discrimination being brought to the general public’s attention through tragedy is something we are all too familiar with.

This art was commissioned for the Marvel/Witcher crossover that I just posted the prologue for, a fic I made for the @what2finish charity auction!

(And yes, the flowers in his hair are lupines, as in wolf) Though the story may be a crossover, there is a ton of Geraskier softness (and later on, another piece of art like this, but with Geralt) in it! Check it out if you’re interested!

The work continues

Phew. It’s been a week since Election Day, but it feels more like a decade. Like all of you, we were glued to our phones, computers, and TVs all of last week, unable to think about anything other than the latest election updates.

Saturday brought immense relief and joy, and we hope you all were able to take a deep breath and recharge this weekend. We hope the results energized you not only because a safer and better future seems possible again but also because there’s still a lot of work ahead of us. We need to undo so much of the damage that’s been done and make sure to push the incoming administration to do more, to fight hard and not settle for returning back to “normal.”

There are different ways to get involved and many causes to support. We’ll be doing what we can through MTH, but as it’ll be a while before our next auction in 2021, here are some Marvel-related/inclusive fandom charity events to check out in the meantime.

@fandomtrumpshate - An auction founded in 2016 that welcomes all fandoms. FTH will be starting up again soon!

@marvelfans4blm - An auction focused on BLM-related causes and black Marvel characters. They haven’t announced whether they’re returning for a second year yet, but keep your eyes peeled.

@charityhawktion - An auction for all things Clint. They’ll be returning in 2021.

@what2finish (happening now) - A new auction that welcomes all fandoms and aims to help victims of Typhoon Goni. Creators offer their list of WIPs or ideas for people to bid on.

@coloring-for-a-marvelous-cause (happening now) - A new event where creators work on a collaborative Marvel coloring/activity book. All proceeds from book sales will go to charity after covering printing and shipping costs.

As always, we’re happy to signal boost Marvel-related/inclusive fandom charity initiatives and solo charity fundraisers by fellow fans. If you don’t see something on this list or you make a new event, let us know!
