They're from a niche dark gothic shoujosei (that is VERY heavy, please heed the TW/CWs for this series), based on Shakespeare's Tragedy Plays, Richard III and Henry VI.

I originally read the series in 2022.

They drive me crazy they're such a good ship on god

I've been writing for them since 2022, I just finally became public about them (since I've just been sharing them privately with mutuals)

I make ship AUs for most of my top fave ships for each series. I have about 20+ in total across my fandoms.

The EdRich AU is one of the first ship AUs I made (and one of the first series I started doing dialogue scripts for)

It started with my KHR AU when I was a teen, and then I did it when I wanted to create and write for my EdRich AU in 2022.

I can write a pretty in-depth Pros and Cons list of the series at some point. I love it but I also have very conflicted feelings about it because some parts of the series are distasteful to me (writing wise and other issues)

(Unfortunately, the series doesn't have anything to do with EdRich as a ship at all, so I wanted to explore their potential together. Basically, they're a big brain that my mutuals and I came up with.)

Though they're such an obvious pair, since Edward is canonically in love with Richard in a very sincere way, it's unfortunately just hopelessly unrequited in canon.

Canon-verse Richard doesn't care for Edward much (especially when compared to other charas in the cast), sighs......

Which is honestly pretty disappointing, since their charas and dynamic/dynamic potential compels me the most.

I wish Edward's love wasn't unrequited to the extent that it is in the series' narrative...

They're my fave charas of the series, and I love their deep parallelisms together.

Also I'm not using the series' name in my text rambles here cuz I want to avoid my rambles showing up in fandom search results rn

I dislike the majority of the fanbase since they're generally really uncritical and/or immature.

I was debating whether to tag my rambles or not, but as of the moment I don't think I will.

I wanna post both my AU fan-works and crits of this series later only as an update for my mutuals (as of the moment)

And I don't want my crit rambles to gain unsavoury traction/interactions.

I will use the #edrich and #edrh tags to tag my rambles for this series for now ^^

What is life like in Melbourne? I’m looking into moving there from the UK and would love some insights and whatever else from people who live and work there 💕

I love living in Melbourne. I moved here from Brisbane over the new year in 2018/2019 (not the best time given the pandemic hit just a year later and the city had some of the longest lockdowns in the world lol), but it's a vibrant place with good people and it feels like an exciting place to live both culturally and politically. My brother actually got back from Europe recently (he moved at the same time I did for a range of reasons), and he was quite taken with a bunch of cities he visited over there in the sense that he felt like the best years were past them? What was interesting to him in coming back to Melbourne is that it does feel like it's a city on the cusp of its brightest years which just - - yeah, makes it an exciting place to be.

That's not to say it doesn't have it's issues too, it absolutely does, but overall, I'm really happy here and think the pros outweigh the cons.

In terms of the process of migrating, I'm not really too comfortable answering, unfortunately, anon! I was born in the country, and while I could probably answer questions about moving from interstate, the logistics of doing so from overseas go a bit over my head and I'd really hate to lead you astray. I've got a few friends though who have moved from overseas and asked them for you, and they all recommended the Moving to Australia Facebook Group, and the Sunset Travellers blog on moving here (particularly this post) for really good advice. :-)

Adventure Time: Finnceline

My first real ship, the first fanfiction I ever read, and I spent hours watching Finnceline AMV's way back when YouTube didn't have commercials. Finn and Marcy's personalities and experiences play so well off of each other that I'm thoroughly convinced the writers were terrified of their potential. They would be an amazing butt-kicking couple, but that wouldn't leave Finn with as many flaws to develop as a young man coming of age. And it's such a shame because you know they'd always have each other's backs and best interests at heart. And with a fully grown adult Finn I'd bet money they'd have at least turned out as cuddle buddies... who occasionally engage in some very aggressive cuddling courtesy of my good friend Lofty! (Click at your own risk!)

Flame Princess and Huntress Wizard were great and had their cool moments with Finn, but something tells me Marceline would give up her immortal life in a heartbeat to protect Finn. Having seen each other's pasts and memories and going out of their way to help each other with deep-rooted life issues, Finnceline just has more depth to work with than the other ships.

Gravity Falls: Dipper x Pacifica x Mabel

The first episode I ever saw was the one where Pacifica and Mabel play mini-golf. I wasn't fully paying attention and assumed Dipper and Mabel were just best friends dealing with a bully. The car ride home together was cute and solidified my first ever threeway ship. THEN I found out they were siblings...

Then I found out fanfiction didn't care! In fact, here's a [link] to the BEST fanfic I've ever read for this ship, enjoy!

Star Vs. The Forces of Evil: MonStarco

The MonStar AU is where things are relatively the same except for one thing: Star is half or part monster. It makes good sense that Star, being an interdimensional magical princess from an interdimensional magical kingdom would be a little more... interdimensional. It gives some fresh blood to Starco fics, which can be a bit too vanilla most of the time, especially when you get to parts where Star's otherworldly anatomy and quirks cause all sorts of problems and shenanigans!

Sort of like her muberty phase but she's stuck looking that way, and if you remember the show said there's a chance every Mewman actually COULD end up stuck in butterfly form! Super interesting! It reminds me a lot of the episode of Teen Titans(original) where Starfire was going through alien puberty, and how fun of an episode it was to watch. The fact that there's tons of Monster Star AU and Mewberty art out there helps a ton as well!

Steven Universe: Lapiven & Stevinel

Lapiven: These two are the perfect example of "cute sunshine boy X hot goth gf". Plain and simple, Steven's optimism is exactly what Lapis needed to begin working through what happened to her. And no one appreciates a cinnamon roll the way a scarred person does. Also, tell me they don't look like a couple everytime they're onscreen together? I mean really watch them! Blushing, giggling, constant eye contact, twinkling eyes, immediately responsive to each others change in mood, plenty physical contact, elation whenever they call or visit each other.

You can call it platonic for the Shtewball, but Lapis adores Steven in every sense of the word. She warned him and negotiated his safety when she realized Homeworld would get involved. She held Jasper prisoner in her own head just to protect him. She faced her trauma and returned to confront the Diamonds, ready to put hands and feet on an enemy she knew she couldn't beat. And entirely because, to her, Steven's safety was more important than her own life. Weigh out those exact same scenarios, their exact same interactions with each other with just about any other two characters in animation and tell me it doesn't make sense? I swear most of their episodes together are just them going on dates!

Stevinel: Now this is special to me. On the opposite side of the scale Steven and Spinel share the same feelings of abandonment and inadequacy from and by Pink. Of course they aren't the only ones, but Spinel didn't raise Steven as a parent or sibling. There was no one better suited to empathize with Steven's issues, and mitigate his downward spiral into becoming a monster.

What Spinel went through in the movie is too on the nose for what Steven goes through in Future, and I'm flabbergasted that the writers chose to have her be of little to no help when Steven needed to be shown that he didn't have to hold himself together on his own.

But back on topic. The other Gems love Steven, but Spinel is wired to love him, just like Pearl, on top of whatever blooms between them naturally. So when those wires were damaged from Pink's abandonment, it's quite poetic that Steven is the one to mend them. From there It's as easy-peasy pink-heart-squeasy to assume the seeds of affection could sprout from such fertile ground. It also helps that Rebecca Sugar blatantly suggests Steven and Spinel's relationship isn't concretely platonic, at least for Spinel. Even going so far as to give us fan service!

Possibility is all that is needed for shippers and fanfictioneers to run wild with wishful thinking. I also might have a revenge boner for heartbroken characters who find happiness despite the tomfuckery done to them. "Pink abandoned me? Guess I'll be with Steven until the heat death of the universe!

RWBY: Nora's Arc

Although I may grow enamored with other RWBY ships, I always come back to this one. It's just tons of fun! Responsible & Awkward meets Extroverted Hurricane, legally banned from IHOP! Premium family man real estate meets poster girl for found family and there's no one better than Jaune-1-of-8-kids-Arc to get the job done!

I'm also of the mind that Nora's bombastic personality is meant to draw people to her, because she's absolutely terrified of being alone and left behind again. And with family gatherings at the Arc residence, isolation is all but nonexistent.

Wakfu: Yumalia

Dreams do come true! LET'S GOOO! Not much to say; they were set to be together from first sight and it was a rollercoaster from there. A lot like Aang and Katara, Yugo got his feisty princess and Amalia got her dashing hero. It's classic, it's timeless, and you love to see it done well!

The Dragon Prince: Rayllum

Disclaimer: I haven't watched the timeskip, and apparently it's kinda bad? I think I'll keep the rose-tinted glasses on thank you very much.

Obvious cuteness is obviously cute. It's nearly unheard of for the strange but exotic alien girl to be the one intrigued and smitten with the human boy. An action adventure fantasy but the non-human girl is the awkward one hiding her feelings? Sign me up! It's a breath of fresh air!

Sonic The Hedgehog: SilverWolf

The newest addition! Some fresh meat to sink my teeth into as I rekindle my love for the Sonic franchise! I haven't followed anything Sonic since the fever dream that was Sonic 06, but happened to see a few panels of Silver talking to what appeared to be a new character, Whisper the Wolf! Shy, soft spoken, but not from timidity, rather a desire to not scare others away because of her frightening eyes.

Pairing her with the very approachable and reassuring Silver makes for good chemistry in my opinion. I also adore Whisper's color scheme and the combination of silver, gold, and neon lights they have in a lot of comic panels together. They'd make a cute pair that's easy to reduce to a blushing mess with any little bit of teasing, and I'm here for it!

Hello, my name is Luna; I have gone by Luna for ages and have been friends with some fantastic artists here on Tumblr. One artist is @heart-of-the-morningstar

A few days ago, it was brought to our attention as a friend group that someone had reposted her entire work, and only in the small author note pointed out it was hers, and they were only doing this because the account has errors (Which it doesn't but we will get into that later)

The account in question for doing this is known as @luna-naoffcial

Now, from one Luna to another, stealing other authors' writing, purposefully taking art, and getting rid of the artist's watermark is wrong.

I have compiled a long list of proof of all the transgressions and my own personal grievances regarding what has happened and continues to happen in the artist community.

First off, story stealing:

To accomplish this, I went through every single story and copied not only the summary that this person wrote on their master list but also the first few lines of the text.

With this, I placed it in a Google reverse engine search and managed to find the accounts with the actual stories, all of which, from my understanding, do not belong to @luna-naoffcial.

I would like to dive into the 'apology' given out and the oddities I have found.

I don't know how many people on Tumblr are familiar with the Cait Corrian drama that happened a few years ago.

She was found creating many fake accounts on GoodReads and trying to ruin the chances of her other YA Authors' getting accredited.

She is also notorious for making fake discord messages to try and cover up her deciete

I post this specific account of the story and these screenshots to highlight the oddities of the following messages shared between @luna-naoffcial and her 'friend' @lia65lana towards a third individual named Kate. What is off to me is that there are a lot of odd things involved in this message exchange

For example, Lia is messaging Kate off Luna's account. Why not off your own account? On top of that, why is Kate on Luna's account? I trust many of my friends but would not hand over my account.

This conversation thread looks very similar to the Cait Corrians. Not only that, but the people in the conversation sound and talk very similarly. The grammar, spelling errors, and odd placement of some nouns and verbs are fluid between all 'three' people.

However, I am willing to step back and say it could be a dialect thing, as when I look at the @luna-naofficial account, my Google Translate automatically wants to translate from Mandarin.

What really struck me as odd however was the responses that both accounts posted as apologies

Lia's account is red, and as we have seen, Luna's is green.

Both accounts posted the EXACT SAME MESSAGES. Only Luna's had an additional ending.

As I was investigating for my friend, it changed again

Again, many of these messages don't fully make sense. There are many grammatical and spelling errors, all very similar to the original picture I added first. All of these 'three' people sound, talk, and make the same errors in all the same ways. I would like to play the benefit of the doubt. In these messages, there is talk of depression, death, and anxiety, all things I personally also struggle with and I understand are hard. However, they are not excuses for purposefully stealing other people's hard work and taking credit for them.

You blatantly take credit for others' work, which is wrong and disheartening.

Side note @alastorsmiles1930: The response and messages are also odd and read the same as all these others. This account is also the ONLY account that followed @heart-of-the-morningstar and the others in my friend group. I want to point this oddity out however I hope you are just an innocent bystander

From one Luna to another, please stop this and apologize. Not just to @heart-of-the-morningstar but to everyone you have been stealing from.

Simon Riley who: watched your happiness drain the more time you spent in the second bedroom, painting until the sun went down, your eyes becoming droopy, your skin pale from the lack of vitamin d, just for nothing to sell at your art show, despite the amount of people who said they would return to buy one.

Simon Riley who: booked a trip to Italy so you could take a break from your career and enjoy life a little more, despite your pleas that you had to get to working to put up more material for another show, even though the attic was filled with unsold pieces that you deemed as failures to never be seen again.

Simon Riley who: told you that you could work on it after you returned from Italy because maybe you just needed a change in scenery, so a trip out the country would be perfect, especially somewhere known for its art.

Simon Riley who: got butterflies in his stomach when he saw the joy in your face when you realized he had paid for an Italian art class you always wanted to take and was saving up the money for, but you knew you would have to wait at least ten years before you could do so.

Simon Riley who: encouraged you to continue to draw and paint during your class, despite the fact that you thought everyone else in the class was better than you, making you doubt your own talents and not wanting to continue throughout the class.

Simon Riley who: just happened to run into the art instructor as you went to the bathroom at the end of the class. when the instructor asked who he was there for, he happily described you. the instructor’s face lit up as he went on and on about how great you are and you should think about moving to Italy for art.

Simon Riley who: made an agreement when the art instructor offered to be your mentor as long as you moved to Italy and did your shows because he believed you were one of a kind.

Simon Riley who: gave your art information and exhibits to the instructor upon request with no intention of taking up his end of the deal unless the instructor showed up to your next show in six months (which he was sure would never happen, but at least he knew your name)

Simon Riley who: watched tears run down your face as you returned home to another surprise; your attic turned into an art studio (thanks to his fellow 141 mates) surrounded by all of your art pieces and natural roof lighting because of how much you complained about the lighting in the second bedroom.

Simon Riley who: could hear your fast footsteps as he laid in bed, knowing you were either dancing as a break from your art or because you had finally finished a piece, sending a smile across his face as he went to sleep.

Simon Riley who: loved when you woke up next to him, missed spots of paint on your face from your previous nights’ hard work, so it gave him an excuse to touch your face, lying whenever you asked if the paint was off.

Simon Riley who: nearly cried when you showed him your next pieces for your show, dramatically different from your pieces before, you stating that you had to learn to do art for yourself rather than for an audience, just like your instructor told you.

Simon Riley who: could read your new pieces like a story as they exhibited your life and upbringing, both the good and the bad, and he recognized each piece from the stories you would tell him about your childhood.

Simon Riley who: was surprised when the instructor flew from Italy to your show six months later, surprising you with himself and other renowned Italian artists.

Simon Riley who: was the first person you ran to when you sold your first piece at your show, jumping into his arms, your smile bigger than he's ever seen it before, tears flowing down your face.

Simon Riley who: was there for you when you broke down crying to find out that every piece at your show was sold and that the buyers insisted on paying over five times as much as they were priced for because “an artist as great as you should never price your art so low”

Simon Riley who: watched you try to hide your teary eyes as your art instructor spoke to you about your plans after the show, knowing that he would be booking you a one-way trip to Italy the next week.

Simon Riley who: proposed to you at the end of your show in the comfort of your own home because he knew you hated public proposals, watching you cry for the umpteenth time that day.

Simon Riley who: had another house built on a small farm in Florence, surrounded by vegetation and animals, just like you always dreamed of.

Simon Riley who: made sure the new house had an even bigger area for you to endure in art, including other mediums of art you had mentioned you wanted to try, like pottery.

Simon Riley who: even made sure there was an area in the house for you to display your art like a mini museum.

Simon Riley who: didn’t tell you that he had to be deployed before your flight, so this would be the last time you see him for a while.

Simon Riley who: was surprised when he returned to his barracks one morning to see he had gotten a large package from you that had been transferred from his old barracks.

Simon Riley who: didn’t tell you that he requested to be stationed in Italy to be closer to you.

Simon Riley who: decorated his new barracks with the paintings and drawings you did, all telling stories of different moments you two had spent together.

Simon Riley who: couldn’t understand what your last painting was, so he surprised you at your new home door to ask you.

Simon Riley who: cried when you showed him the ultrasound pictures that were practically a replica of the art piece you had sent him.

Simon Riley who: was scared shitless to have not one, but two children running around the house one day, but he knew that as long as you were with him, you’d both be the family he never had.

Simon Riley who: was honorably discharged just in time for the birth of your twins.

Any fun facts about where you decided to put certain mashups in Polka For Another Purgatory?

Sure! In fact I'm just gonna dump all kinds of fun facts about this one:

FUN FACTS

-Greetings was chosen as the first song for obvious reasons

-Any mashups that use the original song are used for that reason. This includes Destinytrousle, Misery Maker, Semi-Charmed Remix (and technically Take Control right after), Yes Capes, Dear God Do We Live In A Society, Computery Punk, Rocket-Propelled Grenade, Kraken Dance Party, Once In A Lysate Cell, and Ultimate Science Guy.

-Airman no Taosenai with Timber is a reference to NOW That’s What I Call Mashup where I use the polka instrumental of Timber with the acapella of Timber. This transitions to Up N Down, my only other mashup that used Timber

-Smashup was always planned to be during Nintendo Power, because of course. I went with Kerfuffle over Smashup because A) It comes directly after Crimson and B) I'd made it a point to not repeat any songs throughout this mashup

-Another fun CPU Kerfuffle in-joke is Crimson specifically being interrupted by Larry, which is both a reference to how streams start up for CPUK past 20, but also to both Larry and Crimson's situation at the time CPUK left off

-The only sample that appears in two songs is "Shelter". I associate that song with my boyfriend, Sen (who is moving in this week AAAAAAAAAA), so its level of importance has been reflected in this way.

-Speaking of, ending the song with the bloop from Deadlock was Sen's idea, which makes perfect sense, since the song was meant to be a celebration of me (and Deadlock is my baby) and also a cheer of defeating the creative block of the last few months (which is what Deadlock is about).

-Destinytrousle's part has We Are Number One in it both as a fun little shoutout to the We Are Number One Edits I used to make in college (this one's my favorite) AND as a reference to the fact that the original Destinytrousle mashup was going to have We Are Number One included, but when I showed the draft to a friend, they let me know that the We Are Number One x Bonetrousle mashup was ground well-covered already. I'm glad that they told me that, but I wanted to make it real here anyway.

-The sole purpose for choosing Undying Kermitment on Movin Right Along's part is because Frog is a Frog, just like Kermit. I reinforce this idea by playing the Crazy Frog sample.

-In case you haven't heard the original Polka For Another Day (which you should listen to if you haven't, it's a work of art!), I copy the Usher => CaptainSparklez fakeout directly from that. In fact, Polka For Another Day was a big inspiration for originally doing the fakeout in Yes, Capes!

-Similarly, I wouldn't have made Once In A Lysate Cell without Polka For Another Day. I'd never actually heard Stan before, and I really loved the hook when I first heard it in PFAD. With it lodged in my head, when I first heard the RoR2 track, my brain superimposed the lyrics

-2 songs in this medley will be in the upcoming themed album I've been hyping up for a while.

-In N Out on So No Chi No Sadame came from putting the "Outside" line on the opening section and putting the layered hurried section over the more chaotic instrumental following it. I admit I could have done better since Eminem is kinda left hanging, but hey.

-The segments that I chose for Transcendental Fever Dream were based on my two favorite parts of the mashup: The Rickroll => God dammit and the crazy edit on the Cha Cha Slide.

-This much is probably obvious, but Back 3 Back was on DJ Professor K because of Naganuma. I also accidentally labelled it wrong in the video. Oops!

-The Weird Al segment is meant to replicate the endings of my polka videos where all of the songs are all played in one short section. I decided to represent this with one song from each of the polkas I've covered thus far. This DOES include Bohemian Polka, although I didn't show video of it because I thought it'd clash with how short everyone's video already was. A lot of the song choices were deliberate in the sense that it fit the tone of "Beat It" best, but some were intentionally chosen because of their relevance (to me at least) in the polka medlies. For instance, "Hate to Say I Told You So" is my favorite sample from Angry White Boy Polka, I had the most fun adding the bit for "Pump Up the Jam" into Hooked. And I can't go a DAY without someone commenting about Vivziepop animating for Polkamania.

-Mad Rat Purgatory goes with Jazz Cats only because of the Rats/Mice that accompany them.
