Late 06/24/2025 THWWICH Progress Update:

TLDR: Little more than 1.5K written, at about 13.5K so far drafted. Ramblings below the cut about some changes to future chapters I’m considering.

Passed tf out and forgot to post one of these lmao. I did write yesterday, promise! 🤣

A lot of yesterday was connecting pieces I already had written of the second section. I did decide to change it around one more time by switching some sections and slapping Kokichi’s POV on one I’d already written in Shuichi’s POV. It’ll be a little frustrating to rewrite, but I decided it would flow better and be more interesting to see Kokichi’s view of things as opposed to Shuichi’s.

This is purely for me to have record of this but I’m bouncing around the idea of adding another chapter between 12 and 13. My rationale is there’s something incredibly important learned in chapter 12 and my plan was to have it told via a dialogue exchange between two characters. But that doesn’t seem all that impactful? So I’m thinking about breaking up the flow a little bit and letting readers see the events that are being talked about.

We’ll have to see. It would be difficult to write but I feel like I’d be cheating myself and others if I kept this important event as something just talked about rather than actually written down.

Honestly, now that I’m considering this, maybe I should do that with another part too… There’s so much that happened before the events of this story lol that having a couple definitive “this is what happened” chapters might give a lot of closure.

Why the hell does English not have more color categories???

Like, these are all the same color according to English

Why??? None of these are even CLOSE to one another, nevermind the same!!!

At no point should the top left one be in the same category as the bottom middle or bottom right. They aren’t even close

I could go on but I do unfortunately have actually important things to do so I’ll leave it here now, but seriously we really really need more basic color categories

imagine its mid tsc3 and jeremy and jean’s tension is off the charts. and everyone is thinking “there’s no way they can be this oblivious” because they’re dancing around each other in a way that makes everyone else want to pull their own hair out (or maybe just lock them in a room together). and finally, finally, there they are, flirting with each other in the kitchen while jean makes breakfast and instead of shying away, they keep ramping up. and they’re getting closer and closer. and a knowing smile is exchanged instead of hidden, their faces not turning away even as they blush. and suddenly jean is leaning in and jeremy is reaching to meet him halfway.

and cat walks out of her room with a loud “good morning” stumbling out of her mouth out of habit. immediately she clocks the situation in the kitchen and she is groaning so so hard internally at the realization of what she just carelessly walked into. all she can say is “oops sorry didn’t mean to interrupt your moment, i’ll let you continue” with her hands up in mock surrender, and even though she is dying to see how they address what so clearly almost just happened, she starts spinning around to go back to her and laila’s room.

jean mutters something in quick, rude french under his breath and then just loud enough to catch, “forget it, the moment’s over” and he goes to turn away, already backing out of jeremy’s space.

but jeremy just grabs his arm, pulls him right back, and presses his lips to jean’s real quick before he can get far from him, before either of them can overthink anything. he leans away with a smile and neither of them notice the way cat is gaping at them in pure joy, too caught up in each other.

jeremy gets to feel jean’s answering smile right up against his as he is crowded into the counter and jean continues what jeremy had started
