today we multiply the angst exponent of haruaki timeskip au. the 2 have been in situationship for n years since college until haruna goes pro and comes back to akimaru getting married years later 😹

after highschool they kept this massively ambiguous relationship like YES they got drunk and woke up butt naked in bed once YES they made out multiple times and swore up and down that they were just experimenting YES they've prevented each other from dating other people for ages

and for years they had no idea what to make of the situation until akimaru graduated and haruna went pro and the updates and texts became less and less frequent with each passing day only for haruna to get an "i got engaged 😁 be my best man 👍" text out of the blue on a random tuesday

this is followed by an equally gut-wrenching "be my daughter's godfather" text months later before haruna could even move on. then another several years pass and haruna's practically on the edge of crashing out at this point due to so much emotional turmoil he doesn't even have the mental capacity to process. so imagine his mental state when he's suddenly co-parenting the 5 yr old daughter of his best friend ex-situationship (who has probably become borderline alcoholic atp)

note: if the part where akimaru has a kid sounds random i made it up to compensate for the angst bc i genuinely made myself miserable. originally they were supposed to drift apart as most adult relationships unfortunately go but i believe in happiness and joy and im deathly allergic to sadness so now they get to raise a kid together or whatever. take that as you will. thank u for listening to my ted talk

thinking abt how one of the defining traits of metal sonic who's supposed to be this cold unfeeling machine is that they completely block out logical thinking to blindly attack sonic whenever they cross paths.. attacks him like an animal, not like a killing machine. attacks him in the way that only someone who feels an obsessive hatred could attack someone.. idk.. something something their most defining trait disproves what is allegedly their other most defining trait.. if that is the case then who are they at all?

Went and watched 54 just now and I'm incorporating that into my hcs for Michael. Maybe he could be a bartender at a high end club as his secondary job, or maybe that was his first job and also how he got addicted to the stronger stuff. Leaning more towards the first one because he could theoretically hear a lot more and have more opportunities to gather information for Matthews. Idk can someone be clinical about him with me pretty please

I think Leo Bardonaro is an anesthesiologist.

One, because an anesthesiologist's job is to take the 10 or 15 minutes max they have with a patient and essentially convince them to put their entire life in their hands. Other doctors and surgeons typically get a significantly longer chunk of time to interact with the patient and answer their questions, but at the end of the day, it is the anesthesiologist who will be keeping the patient alive, stable, and safe while the procedure is going on. For better or worse, Leo has the kind of relaxed, companionable personality that would not only be able to leave a patient laughing, but also to feel entirely at ease—he's confident, he's collected, and if he's not worried about this, why should they be?

Two, because I think he would've had way too much fun making jokes about laughing gas.

so i'm having my students do a mini unit on japanese authors and they have to read one of their stories. they had a list of authors and stories to choose from (with a group) and one group picked "lemon" by kajii and the bsd character kept coming up and my one student was like "this is sad. imagine you're an author and more pictures of your anime guy come up than of you" and then she started hyperfixating on kajii and insulted his attire and then she was like "miss h... what's... what's his power??? lemonade???" and i had to explain "he can't get hurt from lemon bomb explosions" and the kid and her group just Stared at me and went "... what?" and i repeated it and it was SO FUNNY
