UGH reading the S-classes I raised and this actually

Makes me SO emotional—

The fact that yj’s little brother feels helpless in trying to help yj bc he KNOWS that yj still sees himself as his parent, who has to protect him, who’ll never share his burdens with him

And yj is such a kind person and a caretaker at heart that he keeps adding unloved people to his family that he swears to take care of, bc he’s the one person who isn’t scared of them and sees them as the kids they are

EXCEPT ☝️ that fucking bitch sung hyunjae

Has never needed yj’s protection

Is the only person that yj really doesn’t understand/trust

Is the only person that can instantly pick up on whatever scheme yj is cooking up

Is the only person sensitive enough to realize that yj turned back time and thus, becomes the only one yj can confide in about his grief for his dead little brother in a broken timeline:

The slight bitterness sung hyunjae has that he never had someone to care about him and grieve him the way yj did for his little brother… the sinking in of Just How Much yj loves yoohyun and Just How Far he would go for yoohyun

The realization that yj doesn’t realize yoohyun and the rest of his found family would do the same for him, and moreover, yj WOULDNT L E T them ever do the same for him, bc he should’ve died in that timeline, this is stolen time he got through the death of his little brother, why would he ever deserve to be protected

So it’s in this moment sung hyunjae realizes, oh. I need to protect him. I’m the only one who can, because I’m the only one he doesn’t need to protect.

He is the only one who has ever seen hyunjae for who he was, and hyunjae will pay that back for the rest of his life. No. He needs to.
