Eclipse doesn't remember how he did it—to convince Solar Flare to help him find where their Sun and Moon now stay, but he managed to.

By the gods, they managed to in half a week.

The audible sigh of relief that came from Eclipse finding out Solar Flare wasnt doing as he dread, but doing as he requested was the most hes been at peace. Maybe Eclipse shouldve known when his companion gave him that knowing look when he spoke of his plan. Maybe.

This favor was huge yet Solar Flare didnt ask for anything in return, only that Eclipse find refuge and a home in this new dimension. That embrace Solar Flare initiated before allowing Eclipse to enter the portal was something Eclipse hadnt known he'd needed, but it was worth returning in a tighter hold.

It was hard to step in after, but Solar Flare's nod was enough to tell Eclipse that he was doing the right thing. His kids were gonna be informed, and they'd start anew like Eclipse had planned when he entered the other dimension before, far from the danger and problems.

His eyes landed on the exterior of a house, illuminated by the blue tone of the portal until it closed, leaving the house enveloped in shadows once more. Absentmindedly, his body surges forward and his hand raises to knock on the door twice, catching the attention of the people in the lit kitchen.

The door swings open, and a familiar voice speaks out—a voice Eclipse never knew he missed.

"Hello—? Gah!" Sun squeaks out, taking a step back as his faint glow reveals Eclipse's figure outside. Stammering, his gaze bounce between Eclipse and Moon, his brother staring in confusion. "M-m-moon, do—do we have, uh, a-a Eclipse in this universe?"

Moon perks up from his slouched spot against the counter, his guard raised. "I dont think we do..." He turns on his night vision just as Eclipse rudely welcomes himself in and... collapses into Sun's arms.

"Eclipse?!.." Moon rushes over to them, his hands no longer holding the cereal box as he raised them in worry, wanting to cup Eclipse's face but not knowing if he was allowed to.

Sun, though, was braver; his arm wraps around the taller animatronic, allowing Eclipse to use his shoulder as a pillow. "Eclipse!.." Sun whispers, more worried than Eclipse has ever heard Sun towards him.

They spoke his name ever so softly, like it were the first time theyve seen him.

It possibly was with his appearance—his slumped figure with worse eyebags and tear stains than both of them with the addition of his odd choice of sleepwear of a jacket layered on a turtleneck and baggy pants to hide his barefeet.

While Moon has met Eclipse a few days ago, he was certain Eclipse didnt look like he walked into hell before being dragged suddenly and knocked against rocks in his fallen state.

Just the way they spoke and fussed over him told Eclipse enough: he was safe. By the Astrals and stars in the sky, Eclipse was safe.

Safer than Puppet's greetings to him.

Safer than getting released from the mindscape.

Safer than getting his back patched up.

Safer than Charlie reuniting with her father.

Safer than Ruin giving him options on how to take a break.

Safer.

This dimension was safer.

Sure, the virus is at work and possibly infected plenty of devices already, but he was with someone—Moon who could actually help him in creating a cure, maybe even Solar and Monty could assist as they are both just as smart in that subject.

This was safe.

The safe haven Eclipse hasnt been given; the place where he could finally heal from his trauma.

The way he was held and spoke to so gently was like melody, the lullaby that lulled him into allowing his tears to finally escape as hes lowered to the ground, his head now on Moon's shoulder while Sun continued to hold him.

He was safe.

If not safe with his friends, than safe with his enemies.

Eclipse is safe.

NOT HATE / CRITICISM - PURELY HEADCANONS

I draw the “platonic sparkchip” duo a LOT, but not out of “omg i ship them” (friendly reminder I DON’T SHIP CHARACTERS UNLESS IT’S CANON!! Very rarely do I deviate from this!!!)

I do it because BEFORE THEY EVEN KNEW EACH OTHER, I always knew they’d understand each other best and would be an amazing caretaker + wounded duo.

Ruin has 50 years of patience and emotional experiences on his back. He can understand and preserve through Eclipse’s issues and give him all the time he needs without becoming impatient like many other characters do. On top of that, Ruin has “Eclipse experience”, just by universe hopping for 3 years and meeting Eclipse upon Eclipse along with others. He knows Eclipse inside and out like he knows every other character. Especially since their stories are so closely bounded together.

Ruin sees Eclipse like a wounded wolf. He knows damn well Eclipse isn’t going to tend to himself nor let anyone else tend to him - especially when he sees himself as above them (in the food chain). But, his patience will allow him to get through to him and hopefully help him learn to not bite the hand that feeds.

Eclipse on the other hand tries to mask his unfamiliar sentimentality as “they’re too important as an asset to lose” when the reality is “I’m not letting you hurt me by dying after I let you get so close.”

Every time Eclipse allows someone in, they hurt him - not by betraying him - by disappearing. Moon abandoned him, Earth is unavailable most of the time due to his sacrifice for Solar, Puppet died for the sake of everyone, and now Ruin is getting KIDNAPPED! HE CAN’T LET THIS GO ON!

mane : “listen bro, if you sit around and mope, the moping is only gonna get worse, there’s no point, okay? even if you feel bad about yourself and you feel like everything is your fault and - even - even when that all- the bullshit is going on bro, you gotta get up and just do the things you need to do to feel better, and just convince yourself that things will be fine even though they’re shitty and not, bro. that’s what we gotta do, okay? that’s why we’re team very locked in.”

how extremely telling of mane’s character, especially after today .

is this what he thought when wemmbu banned himself too? is that what was going through his head during the minutetech vs. mane fight, and killing minute at the end and feeling pity, or some form of guilt, was another punch to the gut? he lost the only sentimental item he has towards wemmbu, wemmbu’s sword nightrider, which was given to him by kab and he’s been pretty consistently using it since- he lost that to minute & mapicc the other day due to the arrow canon. wemmbu banned himself and he seemed genuinely sad and rather disappointed.

he wasn’t even there in person to say his goodbyes.

it’s why he was so bummed out that he was BUILDING at spawn. something that just before the fight, he had been blowing up. he built that sword statue of wemmbu, and when even speaking to him way before the ban happened, it was clear he did really care about him. wemmbu helped mane & the blindfold brothers as a whole and grew closer to them as a fact, and mane described Wemmbu to be like . something that brought him a LOT of fun, and a very different kind of feeling compared to flame and pentar’s motives, wemmbu just didn’t care. he does whatever he wants to, and mane feels like that’s FUN. (stream: kaboodle a new leaf, & manepear’s video: this server thought they could trap me (12:49))

with flame’s ban, he didn’t even say much towards it, because what can he say? he said it himself: “not much to say.” flame told him (likely when he was talking to Zam and giving his armor away) that he would be banning himself. did mane immediately try to talk him out of it like he’s trying so hard with woogie, or did he accept the fact that he’s not ending the season with his blindfold brother? mane had been complaining the other day to Zam (stream: princezam the flower knight) about how he has nobody.

mane : but both of our teams are gone bro, so we might as well be besties!

zam : what do you mean both our teams are gone, who’s your team?

mane : wemmbu’s banned, flame doesn’t play the server anymore

zam : bro you guys killed wemmbu

mane : no- no, we didn’t betray him, he left the server and then flame left, now all my friends are gone. so.. let’s just be allies and be friends.

and he was going to be alone going into the finale had not flame ended up banning himself, i’m certain. the ban changed zam’s thoughts about mane, because he knows exactly what mane was feeling. they were so close to the end of the season together, and mane was truly and genuinely alone, with both of the people he cared the most on the server being gone.

there’s a pattern. it seems like when manepear is moping, he helps people. it’s one of the things he does to make him feel better- i guess he feels like it makes him human, if that’s the intent behind it. he wanted to help Zam immediately after hearing that Mapicc had pulled through with the trap of blowing up the flower field, and wanted to motivate zam. even if they have a rough history, or even if Zam considers mane his enemy, he does it anyway. he never wants to see someone, even his rival / enemy, get down on themself or lose motivation. that ideal of his bled into his reasoning for blowing up spawn in the first place. motivation.

when Wemmbu is banned? he hesitates when he kills minute, even if it was only for a few split seconds, people noticed. he builds a statue for wemmbu at spawn, right next to zam’s. he’s building at the one area that he was just destroying all week. he was helping.

after flame bans himself, he immediately joins forces with Atlas. he joins the one team that’s full motive is to prevent the destruction of spawn, something that he’s done twice now. he pushes zam and woogie to stay locked in and not do anything drastic, or to lose hope. even though he jokingly pretended to act like he was going to ban himself to woogie and zam, he urges woogie to not ban himself. (maybe that joke was built upon some sort of reality mane wanted, who knows?)

mane : “im not trying to ban myself oh my godddd, i don’t have that kind of luxury”

luxury, hm?

mane has always been against the idea of banning yourself, it seems. he wanted to re-ban all the players who got revived, because to him, banning yourself seems so stupid. coming from the guy that has climbed his way to the top because he felt inferior to others- seeing people give up so easily- it feels unnatural to him. so stupid. he’s so used to getting kicked down and immediately getting back up, because he’s manepear.

when he sees that someone is down, he motivates them to the best of his ability. he helps them and nurses them back on their feet. to remind you, he’s a mama bear- he described himself this way. despite how much he very much so claims to be the villain (stream: Kaboodle new leaf), where he says that he thinks even his own teammates think he’s the villain, and that people are just destructive by nature: he cannot help but care. he cannot help but go against his coding, despite everything in his body telling him that he shouldn’t.

he helps and cares for people because he needs to. he does it for himself well enough, but he’s always alone. in many servers, he just grows more power hungry the more he stays. it’s lonely at the top. i dont think mane realized how lonely he actually was until maybe after flame died to zam’s void trap. he couldn’t save flame there, including the time he died to leo’s earlier in the season.

he didn’t get to say goodbye to flame in person either.

yet he doesn’t let that totally consume him. he convinces himself that he will last until the end of the season, because that’s all he can do now. it’s time for him to maybe- just maybe, fight against his inner coding again. maybe he doesn’t have to be the server’s bad guy anymore, despite the reputation he has. or, maybe he’ll change his mind before the finale.

we’ll see. he just has to keep pushing himself to keep surviving until the finale.

going insane /nsrs when people don't get Solar and New Moon's close relationship and confuse it with

squints... fear? solar afraid of new moon??? solar the guy that killed his moon??? huh???

Solar was never afraid of him.

Solar knew he could trust him, Solar noticed this guy was NOT like his Moon, not even like Old Moon, that guy that just decided to use him as therapy for Lunar

Solar being afraid of the guy who accepted him as he was? an Eclipse? Being afraid of this smartass but kind hearted robot who even offered to come to his dimension or said he would visit him? Afraid of the one who accepted him at his dimension and home despite everything?

Solar trusted New Moon FIRST to tell his new name/identity, because he felt safe with him

I can't at all see where has Solar ever been afraid of New Moon when he would be the first to talk firmly to New Moon whenever he was panicking or letting rage take out the worst of him without a single hesitation in his voice and actions. Solar would act as the voice of reason every single time when it came to New Moon, not because of fear, simply because he KNEW how to help him and didn't mind to help

Had Solar ever been afraid of New Moon he would've showed it. He wouldn't even have wanted to share and spend time with him, to tell him things about himself, to work with him, to prank him even

Solar cared so, so much for New Moon and so did New Moon for him

I DON'T THINK PEOPLE UNDERSTAND but i will explain.

A "Moon" and an "Eclipse".

A "Moon" who's NOT the Old one, who has no memories of this other guy, who's trying his best to be better than his past self, or trying to be as smart as his past self, who's living a life he barely knows, who's learning how to deal with stuff and be the "smart one and protective brother", who's not his old self so his sibling can't even look at him, but his other brother can't get rid of his trauma and fears about him overworking himself or maybe lashing out at him or laughing at his face for his feelings, but a guy who threatened his life on his first day of existence treats him as that old self, and mocks him, and blames him for things he never did, New Moon who had to APOLOGIZE to him for things he never did, who can't even get a chance to know if he actually has to like and be as everything Old Moon liked and was, who doesn't even know if he can choose to be his own person

and an "Eclipse", who despite everything decided to help, decided to care, decided to work and be better and fix a mistake that wasn't his, who knew later on that there existed other Eclipses who were absolute cruel terrible assholes, specially an Eclipse that traumatized that new friend he made, who decided from there that he would prove he's NOT like those Eclipses, he's also his own person, he's not "a nice Eclipse", he's just "Eclipse" but still, his own person. He comes to a new dimension looking like the guy who killed his friend when he didn't chose to look that way, he comes and asks for a place to stay, and starts doing his best, overworking himself too cause that's everything he knows to do, cause he's used to try to be useful, he finally starts feeling a part of something, he feels again important to someone and that's why stays, why he gets rid of that past, why he fights for his new home

THIS IS WHY THEY DO HAVE A CLOSE BOND

two guys who are dealing with being better versions of literally themselves, two guys who understand each other's struggles, who work to protect and prove they're worth it, prove they're good, prove they can help

they were not afraid of each other, they were afraid of not being worth it for OTHERS

cause in a place where everyone knows who they are, they were both trying to understand who they wanted to be

and no i will not talk about Solar V2 cause he's so so much different from Solar V1 that I don't even want to count him in, only thing I will save to SHOW he kinda cared for New Moon instead of "fearing" him (before tsams ruined that) was his insistance on helping Nexus, on not believing Old Moon (that was NOT his friend so he had no right to talk), on getting slightly mad when he mentioned it was his fault, on saying he LOVED HIM (canonically platonic obviously, yes i'm not that delulu, leave me alone) and was sad to see him change

They were friends. They understood each other in many ways and they cared deeply for each other and worried to no end.

A couple of unrelated thoughts that refuse to get out of my brain:

1) The situation with Solar having a hit placed on him

In listening to what Moon said about it earlier, it has something to do with Solar being the only part of his dimension that's still alive, and somehow, SOME WAY, his dimensional code factors into that. How is that the case, though?

When Eclipse was setting up everything to bring Solar back, he switched Solar's dimensional code out for the dimensional code of V2, that way Solar's code would sort of,,, line up with the dimension (for lack of better phrasing), and the universe, in a way, would be like "Oh yeah, this guy, he belongs here, everything's fine, there's nothing to worry about"

Solar's new dimensional code SHOULD make it so that he meshes with everything from the OG dimension, and it SHOULD help make it seem like (code-wise) he belongs there

How would whoever tf put a bounty on his head know how to track his dimensional code and tell it apart from the code of everything else that came from the home dimension?? That'd be like having a cardboard box filled with hundreds of identical paper clips, and being told to find the one that's ever so slightly different than the others. But surprise surprise, they're all the same. There isn't one that's unique at all

I'm sure there's a better example I could give than that, but that's the best I can come up with right now

2) Who KS's Moon apparently "took" from him (or hurt. I forget what the exact phrasing was)

I saw someone discussing this somewhere. Could've been here on tumblr. Could've been a post on youtube. I don't remember where. The main thing I remember was the person being like "I stg it better not be Monty 🙄 that'd be SO boring"

But like. Consider for half a second: most Suns seem to start off with having a crush on Roxanne (or whoever is in her place in the band, like we saw on TEAPS when it was Foxy)

KS is incredibly fruity. That's not a secret. He's as straight as a wet spaghetti noodle. So,,, what if the person his Moon took away/hurt/killed/whatever,,, wasn't Monty, and instead it was actually Roxas?

The mission to extract your wisdom teeth wasn’t exactly Hydra-level in terms of danger, but in your world, it might as well have been. Dental anxiety was no joke. Bucky Barnes, your boyfriend and ever-reliable partner in life, had promised to stick by you through it all. His assurances had included phrases like, “I’ll take care of you, Doll,” and, “We’ll get through this together,” whispered with the same conviction he used during tactical planning.

He really had no idea what he was signing up for.

The morning of the surgery, Bucky was already at your side, helping you into a comfy hoodie and making sure your favorite blanket was in the car. You were anxious, bouncing your leg as he drove you to the oral surgeon’s office.

“Doll,” he said softly, reaching over to place his vibranium hand over your jittery one, “it’s just a routine thing. You’ll be in and out before you know it.”

You nodded but muttered, “Easy for you to say. You don’t have someone coming at you with sharp instruments.”

“Sweetheart, I used to be the sharp instrument.”

You glared at him, but the corner of his mouth twitched, and soon you were laughing despite yourself. He parked the car and helped you inside, his presence grounding you as much as it could.

The surgery itself was a blur. One minute, the nurse was inserting an IV, and the next, you were groggily waking up with cotton stuffed in your mouth and a vague sense of accomplishment, as though you’d just conquered something monumental.

And then the anesthesia hit in full force.

“Bucky,” you slurred, squinting at his face as he crouched down to help you into the car. “Did you know… you’re hot?”

Bucky froze mid-movement, his lips twitching as he tried not to laugh. “Thanks, Doll. Glad you think so.”

“No, no,” you insisted, poking his cheek with a wobbly finger. “Like, really hot. Like… like the sun. You’re like the sun, Buckyyy.”

“Alright, let’s get you in the car before you start writing me poetry,” he said, lifting you easily into the passenger seat. He buckled you in as you pouted at him.

“You’re my sun,” you mumbled dreamily, head lolling back against the seat.

“And you’re my moon,” he replied, brushing a strand of hair from your face.

You gasped suddenly, eyes wide. “Does that make us… a solar eclipse?”

Bucky snorted so loudly he startled himself. “Sure, Doll. We’re a solar eclipse.”

By the time he got you settled into the car, it was clear the anesthesia had taken full control. Your head lolled against the headrest, and your eyes flitted about as though you were seeing the world for the first time. Every mundane thing became an epic discovery.

“Oh my God, Bucky!” you gasped, pointing out the window with the urgency of someone spotting a UFO. “Look! A dog!”

He smiled. “Yeah, Doll, I see it.”

You turned to him, deadly serious. “Do you think it knows how to drive?”

He blinked, caught between wanting to laugh and wondering if he should be concerned. “I don’t think so, sweetheart.”

“Well, it should. Dogs deserve to drive. They’ve been walking for centuries. It’s not fair.”

“Right, I’ll bring it up at the next town hall meeting,” he deadpanned, eyes flicking back to the road.

“You’d better. I’ll be your campaign manager. ‘Vote for Bucky: The Man Who Fights for Canine Vac-….vehic-ic-ular Rights.’”

A snort escaped him before he could stop it. “Canine vehicular rights, huh?”

You nodded sagely. “That dog was a visionary. It was staring at me like it understood my soul.”

“It was eating grass, Doll.”

“It’s a genius. You just don’t get it.”

He didn’t reply, too busy biting the inside of his cheek to keep from outright laughing, but you weren’t done.

“Wait! Another dog! Hi, doggy!” you shouted, waving energetically at a blur of fur as the car sped past. “Did you see it, Bucky? Did you?”

“Yes, Doll, I saw it.”

“Do you think they’re friends? Like, maybe they meet up on weekends and play poker or something.”

“I’m sure they do, Doll. High-stakes poker games behind the gas station.”

“YES!” you shouted triumphantly, pumping your fist. “I knew it. Dogs are so organized.”

You fell quiet for a moment, which Bucky foolishly thought might mean the conversation was over. But then your head turned toward him, eyes wide with wonder.

“Do you think I could join their poker club?”

“Doll, you don’t know how to play poker.”

You hummed. “Neither do the dogs, James. It’s about the vibes.”

At that point, Bucky had to pull over because he was laughing so hard he could barely keep his hands steady on the wheel. His shoulders shook as he rested his forehead against the steering wheel, while you looked at him in confusion.

“What’s so funny?” you asked innocently, chewing on a piece of gauze. “This is serious business. Dogs are the backbone of society, Bucky. You wouldn’t even have your arm without them.”

His head shot up, tears of laughter streaming down his face. “What does that even mean?”

“You know exactly what it means,” you huffed, crossing your arms and turning to stare out the window, your cheeks puffed with righteous indignation and gauze.

Endlessly entertained, Bucky got the car moving again, but not without a few parting words from you:

“I’m gonna start a revolution,” you declared. “Dogs n’ cars. Dogs n’ hats. Dogs running for Congress. Buckle up. I am changing the world.”

“Whatever you say, Doll,” he murmured, grinning to himself. “Whatever you say.”

“That’s not how wisdom teeth work, my love.”

Ignoring him, you grabbed his arm with both hands, marveling at the coolness of the vibranium. “You’re like a Transformer. Can you transform into a car? I bet you can. Why didn’t you tell me?”

“No.”

“A plane?”

“No, Doll.”

“A toaster?”

“Why would I transform into a toaster?”

“For toast, obviously.” You rolled your eyes as though it were the most obvious answer in the world.

Bucky let out a long-suffering sigh, but the twitching corners of his mouth betrayed his amusement.

Bucky leaned against the doorframe, arms crossed and a smirk on his lips. “Absolutely. You’d be the most adorable Avenger.”

“Adorable?” you repeated, narrowing your eyes at him in offense. “I am feracious.”

“Ferocious? Sure you are, Doll.”

“Wanna see?” You suddenly bared your teeth—or rather, the cotton-filled abyss of your mouth—and growled, which sounded more like a muffled gargle.

Bucky laughed so hard he had to sit on the edge of the bathtub.

The rest of the day was a blur of Netflix, popsicles, and increasingly ridiculous questions.

“If you could be any animal, what would you be?” you asked at one point, sprawled out on the couch with an ice pack on your face.

“A wolf,” he answered without hesitation. “What about you?”

You thought about it for a long moment before declaring, “A jellyfish.”

Bucky raised an eyebrow. “A jellyfish?”

“Yeah. They’re squishy and floaty. Like me right now.”

He shook his head, chuckling. “You’re something else, Doll.”

You blinked up at him, your expression shifting into one of profound seriousness. “Do you think cats have secret jobs?”

Bucky paused mid-sip of his coffee. “Secret jobs?”

“Yeah,” you whispered conspiratorially, as if the walls might have ears. “Like… maybe they’re spies. Or accountants. Or both.”

“Spies and accountants?” he repeated, raising an eyebrow.

“Think about it, Bucky. Cats are always watching. Sitting in windows, judging everyone, like, ‘Oh, Jerry didn’t pay his taxes again.’ You ever wonder why they knock stuff off tables? They’re sending messages.”

A bit of self-indulgence again in lue of today’s episode.

Eclipse is so tired and fed up after everything, that, instead of just silently walking away after being turned back from being a baby, that he says one thing.

“I’m DONE….you’re all on your own. Good luck.”

Now everyone is surprised and a bit worried by what that means, tries getting him to explain, and he just quietly snaps. “If none of you are EVER willing to help or be grateful for all the shit I do, then I’m not fucking bothering anymore.” His eyes specifically on Charlie(The girl who he helped countless times, even bringing her dad back), Roxanne( the person he saved several times, even when it cost him getting his kids backs and who saw him cry and breakdown from the stress) and Ballora(his SUPPOSED ‘bestie’). They wacth confused and horrified as he starts packing his and the ghost kids clothes, but they it finally clicks what happening when he starts searching for a different dimension on his computer. Cue a desperate attempt from everyone begging him to stay and please help. Up to your own satisfaction if he does but tears them a new one, everyone too nervous to even look at him wrong again, or if he doesn’t, and start immediately working on something the ghost kids can attach to so he can drag them with him. Obviously Charlie would be sobbing in both scenarios, like she should be when she realizes her actions have consequences. Solar flare can’t even stop him, because how do you FORCE someone to sit at one computer for hours everyday for weeks at a time to do something, which he says as much. Roxanne is horrified, pissed and guilty, tries to guilt trip him.

“You’re SERIOUSLY gonna just not help!?”

And Eclipse just has a simple answer for that

“When have any of you EVER helped me when I needed it!? When have YOU EVER not taken every opportunity to shit on me when you get the damn chance!?”

In both scenarios, the eaps dimension cast has the realization that with Eclipse gone, the only ones who could help after that, is Monty(who’s nowhere NEAR as good as that) or RUIN(the guy who’d, once again, sacrifice billions of lives for one.)

After all, Eclipse came there in the first place for a fresh start…he can ALWAYS go get another if he’s being mistreated in one, just like any other person with free-will.

Whatever path he does choose, no one will ever be the same again, whether cause of the virus taking them over if he leaves, or by the fact that they’d be rightfully terrified of pissing him off that much ever again.

Ruin ramble because writing his pov is interesting

Do you ever notice that Ruin gets really self depreciative about himself sometimes? (Maybe not quite self depreciative, but highlighting things about himself.) Implying vulnerability in a way that can almost come off as a joke if it weren't for his tone of voice. He says he hasn't been safe in a long time, it would be nice to sleep for once, wouldn't his death be hilarious? It comes off as a cry for help, but he states it as fact, he's convinced it won't change.

He's very stubborn about what he's done. He had nothing left to lose. No, there was absolutely no other way he could've gone about destroying the creator, he'd spent years considering his options. Yes, Solar was collateral, unfortunate. Those lives were a necessary sacrifice. He had to do it. There was no other way.

To him, he chose the lesser amount of people in the trolley problem. That was the morally correct thing to do in the circumstances he was given, lives would have been taken either way. He had to do it. (He could've walked away from the lever that switched the rails, but that would be the self serving option, wouldn't it? To move on?)

The most interesting part about it to me is, why does Ruin keep on going? All he's known is pain and suffering in some shape or another, he had nothing to live for after his goal was completed. All he'd ever known was bad, bad, bad, vindictive release, a little bit more bad, and then nothing. He was ready to die, he didn't know where to go.

Then came along this new dimension, one he'd apparently accidentally created through his actions. For someone who has nothing to gain or lose, wouldn't this be a nice chance of pace? To look forward to something nice that was more or less your responsibility in a weird way, to cultivate something good for once after a life of bad? To be able to take the place of your abuser, break that cycle? This new dimension is his reason to keep going, he will see this one good thing through if he can help it. Even if he isn't particularly liked by his migrated peers.

But he still isn't secure. There are enemies he'd made, the insurmountable weight of lives on his shoulders, and a new uncertain freedom of identity. (Granted, he still has to lie to some people to get by. I more mean his own Creator, the Virus act, and Nexus + Dark Sun here. Ruin having to strike deals and bargain for his life and act against his own morals to survive. But those are gone. When had Ruin last acted like himself, truly? He had barely been able to define himself as an Eclipse before everything bad happened.)

Does Ruin hate himself? I don't know, he's very adamant about hating what he had to do, but would do it again. He believes he was right, he's even defensive about it to several people, but there is still something that's bothering him. Does he hate himself for pressing the red button? Dunno. Maybe subconsciously. He's clearly meant to parallel Puppet with how he is now, they're the same words in different font. Ruin pulled the lever to kill the smaller amount of strangers to save the greater amount of strangers. Puppet was inside the train that killed everyone she knew. She wants to repent, Ruin hasn't shown much interest in it. Does a selfless act require repentance?

I like to think he has a bit of a dissociation issue, he compartmentalizes things if you squint, a possible coping mechanism of something called cognitive dissonance (a disturbance that happens when your actions do not align with your morals/values.) He was right for what he did. What he did was bad. What he did was necessary. He deserves his fate. He doesn't like pain. There's some contradicting statements there, he'd have to separate some things into neat little boxes in order for it to make sense in his head, so he didn't torture himself thinking about what that said about himself and his values. What he did was right and necessary. What he did was bad and he deserves his fate. He doesn't like pain. Still contradictory a bit, but a little more organized. If he focused on the positive box more than the negative box, he can feel better about himself, but he's painfully aware of the negative box' existence. Maybe he avoids looking at the negative box at all times and ignores the contents, but what's inside is so over accumulated that it can't help but be constantly present and occasionally overflow in those matter-of-fact cries for help. Eclipses love language is acts of service.

First: What is the Acts of service?

Acts of service is when someone feels most loved and appreciated when others demonstrate their care through helpful actions and tasks, rather than words or gifts. Such as chores, helping out with homework, going out of your way to make life easier for them, etc.

But his love language being acts of service makes so so so much sense. That's part of why he can't take a compliment. Not only is he not used to them but he doesn't really feel as loved by just being told "You're doing good" or "I love you" or "I'm proud of you"

That's why he has Charlie go get something for him out of p&s. It's an act of service.

It's also how he shows he cares. The first person he truly bonded with was Earth. When he started getting close to her he never told her he cared or anything. He helped her and she helped him. She expressed that she cared about him and would do her best to help with his mental help, and in return he tried to help her stop Nexus from doing something they would all regret. When that failed he brought back Solar. It could've been a power move but it was also an act of service for Earth to show her he cared.

When Roxanne got Ruin and Monty to upgrade her, that was an act of service. She went out of her way to help him and make the whole situation a bit easier on him.

A rant on how some people in the fandom coddle lunar

look this really annoys me. Some people in the fandom just coddle lunar so damn much and it shows with this arc. Everyone is calling the celestial family abusive and neglectful for neglecting him to witch they have not. They kicked lunar out for attacking earth cause they want to him to forces on himself and his emotions are linked to his powers and could possibly run the risk of him attacking jack and dazzle two CHILDREN! Yes lunar won't and would never want to attack him but because of how emotional lunar is and how he refuses to say he needs help until he is forced shows the chance of him attacking jack and dazzle is not unlikely and speaking of him attacking earth I think some people need to realize that lunar COULD HAVE KILLED EARTH! Yes he didn't but he still basically could have or infected her with negative star power and made so it would like lunar. And it doesn't help that the fandom is always quick to shit on earth for being flawed for 5 minutes and people call her a bad person and yet every other character especially lunar get a free pass

Monty scamed and commited multiple crimes and was an absolute dick until a bit before the eclipse and lunar take over - no one says anything

Since Charlie got hella stressed during yesterday's EAPS ep that showed clearly in today's EAPS ep, I decided to resdesign her (as well as Eclipse, Sun, and Dazzle + Solar Flare slightly) and put her on a needed playdate with one if the Celestial kids :3

Small HCs of mine:

–Sun's rays are sharp (purely due to Eclipse's control on their formerly shared body) and have actually poked someone which caused some injury. Its because of this that Sun asked Moon to buy those little safety things you put on the edges of tables (or any furniture with a sharp point) to place them on his rays.

–Many Eclipse variants have their rays far sharper and longer than their Sun variants—it also tends to be a lot more in terms of ray numbers! (This will be helpful in future art to differentiate Solar and Eclipse as both have unique rays :D!!)

I honestly can't hate Nexus's character, this isn't bad really. I love this writing because he is a tragic character I feel bad for more than Eclipse.

Nexus went into this not knowing anything about what the hell was going on, it got shoved onto him, he's trying so hard to make everyone happy, he wanted to show that he cared a lot about everyone. He never asked to be Moon or to take his place for him, he just felt like he had to for him and for his family.

They didn't stop everything for him, and by the time they did, it was too late. He just couldn't be honest about himself anymore. He was scared of what they would do and then they ended up disowning him anyway in the end. Moon definitely didn't help him at all. He just made him feel like he could be easily tossed away for someone else. Intentional or not, it still didn't make him feel any better about how he felt.

Earth might've been there for him but it was hard for him to trust her with his feelings about Sun when he feels as though her and Sun have a closer relationship than he did with her.

I just can't see Nexus as Sun's brother with how he mistreated him. Solar was just scared of him really since he looked and acted somewhat like his Moon. I know some people say that him and Solar were close but were they?? I just think Solar did everything for him to keep him from replacing him with another Eclipse since that was what he lived with back in his dimension. He's had to hide from his Moon. So was he also replacing his Moon without realizing it?

I love how Nexus is written and that there might be a possibility of him defeating a Wither Storm in that dimension and getting that power to control it the same way Sun can.

As to how it all happened, Killcode has no idea who this Foxy and Montgomery Gator are, but he doesn't like them. He's going to hunt them down if the chance arises.

SEA Eclipse may ask him if he wants him to check the back of his head out, just so they can be sure there's no serious damage there, however he really wouldn't want to force the guy to do anything. He's already basically forced to act in a manner that's unusual for him, and having someone poke at you despite your wishes is incredibly invasive and violating, which he knows from personal experience.

Moon would also probably like to take a look, but when MC Eclipse reacts negatively, seeing as he doesn't like Moon still, he'd back off. He recognises animal behaviour when he sees it.

Solar Flare might be the one who'd actually end up looking at the back of MC Eclipse's head, like Lunar did in that one comic, simply because it's the one who understands the most about animatronic builds. And then it'd relay the information, and all of them would come to the conclusion that it's stuck and they need to hunt this Montgomery and Foxy down like animals.

So yeah, hopefully those two can run really fast, because neither Killcode nor Bloodmoon are amused, and they're feeling particuarly bitey.

SEA Lunar would enjoy the uppies tho. Having an Eclipse hug him with four arms? Great! Fantastic! He's curling up in that lap so hard it's unreal. If MC Lunar's there he's fighting for that spot. He can have the shoulders or something.

Sun would probably try approaching MC Eclipse to ask if he's fine with this, if he needs help with anything because he's happy to help. As is the rest of the family, but Sun noticed the discomfort towards Killcode, Moon, Eclipse (though I do wonder if upon hearing that SEA Eclipse is the brother of SEA Lunar, Bloodmoon and Solar Flare if MC Eclipse's code would also insist that's a kid or not, though I doubt) and himself. He'd still offer what he can, and back off when requested.

So yeah, they're pretty damn unhappy about his situation, and they all have stern words for some people. Or in some cases, violent intentions for some people

How do you think the sun and moon show would have turned out if Sun and Moon had actually fused with Lunar and Eclipse? Do you think Dazzle would still end up getting adopted into the celestial family? If so, who do you think she would get adopted by?

- No KC, because Lumos' creation got rid of the kill code

- This also means there's no reason for New Moon/Nexus to exist either, so he also never happens

- V2 Eclipse is still a thing, and he still starts off in Bloodmoon's head. There's no team up with KC however, so he has to figure out another way to regain a body. I have no idea how that whole arc would go, honestly

- I'm not sure if they'd ever meet Solar or not, since Moon only found that dimension to help Lunar with his Eclipse trauma. I don't know if Lumos would still have that struggle. Maybe he's troubled by Lunar's memories of Eclipse, plus his own curiosity as to whether a good Eclipse exists or not, and that leads him to finding/visiting Solar's dimension? Idk

- Solis and Lumos' relationship is very.... awkward at first, to put it lightly. While Lumos' creation went smoothly due to both parties agreeing to do it, Solis' was.... not so much. His whole existence was an accident bc Sun messed up the spell to get rid of Eclipse. As a result, he came out a lot more unstable/volatile personality wise. Not quite as bad as the actual episode where Sun and Eclipse merged, but compared to Lumos, let's just say he had a much harder time coming to terms with his existence/identity

- Like Sun, Solis kills og Bloodmoon with one of the barrels. Unlike Sun, he has way less remorse about it. Mainly bc he already knows BM was behind July 16th + having V1 Eclipse's own feelings about them. He still doesn't tell Lumos however, because heaven forbid these morons communicate with each other (Lumos eventually finds out anyway)

- Lunar doesn't die bc you can't kill someone who doesn't exist lol, meaning nobody gets star power and the Astrals have no reason to go to Earth (Unless V2 Eclipse still gets the star maybe? Idk)

- Dark Sun likely wouldn't take an interest in this dimension, since his plan needs a Sun to work, which Solis isn't. Or at least, not fully?? Idk

- I have no clue how Ruin's whole thing would play out asdsfghaj. His plan either works like in the original, or he gets stopped in time.... which would lead to the family having to face off against the Creator Council. Uh-oh (maybe it leads to them teaming up with Ruin? Idk)

- If his plan does work and Solar dies, then they'd just... bring him back? Like, if Solis and/or Lumos find out V3 Eclipse (assuming he's still a thing) knows how to bring him back, they'd be willing to team up with him. Idk it wouldn't be super eventful lol

- Speaking of Eclipse, no deal with Dark Sun, or Astrals around (maybe), means he doesn't have to move dimensions (unless he wants to, anyway)

- Solis is the one who adopts Dazzle. He loves her very much
