I can't stop thinking about a Xaden x Melgren!Reader idea that's been living in my head lately, and I kind of want to turn it into a full story.

The idea is this: the Reader would be a year ahead of Xaden at Basgiath, which means when he’s in his first year, she’s already in her second, and not just surviving, but thriving. She actually ends up becoming Fourth Wing’s Wingleader during her second year, which makes her a recognizable, respected figure among the cadets, even if she’s a bit of a mystery outside the quadrant.

I’m planning to write it dual perspective, switching between Xaden's POV and the Reader’s POV, because I really want to capture the tension and complexity of how their relationship develops. (Especially with how different their lives are, Xaden being a marked kid under constant scrutiny, and the Reader being a Melgren with all the heavy expectations and political weight that comes with her last name.)

It would start at Basgiath, with all the stolen glances, near-misses, and tension that comes from them having to keep any feelings very under wraps. Over time, they slowly build this bond through battles, drills, secret late-night conversations, and this almost unspoken pull that turns into something more.

By the time she graduates, they’re in an established relationship but it’s still a secret. Very few people know. After she leaves, because of duty, politics, and the fact that Xaden still has a year left at Basgiath, they can’t be together openly yet.

So instead, they start writing letters back and forth, secret, desperate letters, full of everything they can’t say out loud. (And you just know the letters will absolutely wreck me. I'm thinking ink smudged by thumbs, unsent drafts, pages crumpled and rewritten five times before sending. Maybe even a little coded messaging to avoid interception.)

And eventually, after what feels like a lifetime of waiting and fighting their circumstances, they reunite when Xaden graduates. Probably with a lot of complicated feelings about how much they’ve both changed — and how some things, no matter what, have stayed exactly the same.

Anyway. I have so many thoughts about it already, but I'd love to hear feedback. Like, I know I have my WIP that I'm still working on. But thoughts are great!

omega alhaitham + omega kaveh = messy courtship shenanigans, where a misunderstanding due to a lack of communication devolves courting into a competition of "who could be the better mate for a mystery future someone" (cue the groans and eyerolls)

kaveh, despite being a hopeless romantic is a romance disaster that both overthinks everything and is oblivious to any signs directed towards him like it's an olympic discipline (and he second-hand internalized love languages, basing all his knowledge around it in the most over the top romantisized way possible does not in fact help)

cue alhaitham enjoying this ridiculousness they got themselves into again, slyly taking care and reciprocating the gestures in his own subtle way, where he basically picks up all of kaveh's exhausted pieces and nurses him back to his energetic self, indulging kaveh's steadfast believe they're competing over who is a better omega lover

and to the distress of all of their friends and associates, they're trying to one up each other by subjecting each other wit their "wooing skills" to "rub it in" and "have direct confirmation where the other can't cheat or find a biased party to decide for them"...

does anyone see my vision??? this is plaguing me since this morning in this form (i got like 3 other omega alhaitham centered fics in mind, but this is right up there rn), i feel like going feral and cry until the words manifest themselves :/ i could babble about this so long, maybe i could trick my brain into actually writing it in full

what if i wrote a series where the reader is a sex-column writer and they go on a ton of dates that are just ppcu characters? please tell me you all see the vision. the hardest question is who is reader's mr. big?

imagine reader who was born and raised till the age of around 4 in district 4, being best friends with finnick.

and one day, she’s suddenly just… gone.

only for her to be found in district 12’s reaping in one of the next years (a different year from finnick) where he sees her on the tv and is so confused. because he thought she died or something.

reader ends that year’s hunger games as the victor.

during the 74th games, reader and haymitch train everlark together.

timeskip to the third quarter quell (75th hunger games) and katniss’ name is called.

reader knows about everlark, and also knows that she herself has no real family to live for, and decides to volunteer for katniss’ place, after which peeta volunteers for haymitch. she also volunteers partly because she had seen finnick win the games once and was desperate for any chance to meet him (however badly she wished he wouldn’t be a part of the games).

the fated day comes, when finnick and reader meet again: utterly recognisable to each other as the 4-year old versions of themselves who fell in love with each other.

and then, they realise there can only be one victor.

I just think a reality tv show setup with all the Monkie kid villains would be really funny. They’re all bad people who have at least “dabbled” in theater kid energy and would 100% cause drama and talk shit with/about each other. It would be amazing.

I dead ass want to write a inspired ddlc au/MiSide au where Ingo is the main character in said game and Emmet was the original character/design choice before he was scrapped and replaced by Ingo at the end, but like Emmet in spite of his jealousy actually still cares for Ingo since their technically the same concept (His "twin") So basic terms a self aware au but whether I make it a x reader/oc fic or just focus on their situation I'm not sure. I'm just dumping this out here until I get more of a better idea *blep*

Blackice Fuck or Die/Sex Pollen-type scenario

wherein Pitch punches Cupid in the face and then gets lust-dusted in retaliation, but it's not the first time this has happened because Cupid is an asshole and they can't stand each other, so he resolves to wait out the effects in the dark of his lair and maybe masturbate a handful of times to ease the building heat slowly burning him from the inside out and sleep in between.

Of course, this is before Jack decided to pay him a visit. What could the baby Guardian possibly want from him at a time like this, it's terribly inconvenient. But oh, Jack's skin is delightfully cool, it feels lovely against his burning hands when he cups Jack's cheeks. Is the rest of him just as cold? Pitch has to know, has to get his hands on more skin, has to feel more, so he forces Jack out of his hoodie, has to run his hands down pale, freezing flesh, has to feel all that wonderful cold pressed to him, he's burning, it's almost unbearable!

His room. His room is dark and chilled, so Pitch whisks Jack away into the dark of the lair and Jack has no idea what's going on, he only came to check up on Pitch, the man had been inactive for years and the Guardians were starting to get paranoid. He hadn't expected him to start feeling Jack up, start divesting him of his clothes, and Jack really doesn't know what's happening or why Pitch is doing this or even if he really likes it.

Pitch throws him on the bed, throws his own robe to the floor, crawls over on all fours above Jack, and Jack can finally see how dilated his pupils are, how brilliantly gold and hazy, unfocused. Something is wrong, there's no way Pitch would ever want to touch him of his own accord, and Jack tries to push up, tries to talk some sense in the man, to reason with him somehow, but Pitch only lays down on top of him, pinning Jack to the bed, groaning as his over-heated skin comes in contact with blissful cold. There's steam in the air from the extreme temperature difference and Jack is legit worried for the older spirit, but something distracts him. There's something digging into his hip, Pitch is making these noises Jack has never heard him make before, soft grunts and little groans, and there's a nose at his neck as Pitch inhales deeply. Jack really doesn't want to stop this.

Was thinking of how Billy was traumatised by his father scolding him for spending his money on a guitar as he sells off his guitar when Billy is in school. That incident made Billy upset, and he hasn't picked up the guitar ever since.

It all changed when Billy moved to Steve's house, and on his birthday, Steve surprised Billy with the same guitar he first bought, along with a songbook. Steve encourages Billy to follow his heart (which is music), and he hugs Steve as he is moved by Steve's gesture.

With newfound determination, Billy picked up the guitar again, practised diligently, and played in multiple bands to gain experience and exposure. He also becomes a music teacher for a music school that serves underprivileged kids, as well as a studio musician and a producer for Eddie's band Corroded Coffin.

I believe that would be neat, and fitting for Billy. He deserves another shot at pursuing his dream and walking out of the shadow that his father had set on him.
