Always For The Money (Chapter One)
For @lemonpeter (i know that angst probably isn't your thing, but i just wanted to write something for you since i want you to have a nice day. hopefully you like 1k of fairy peter lol)
Two | Three | Four
---
Tony wasn't a bad guy. But he wasn't a good guy either.
See, Tony went where the money went. His employers knew that he specialized in... capture of mythical creatures.
It was for the money. No matter what, it was always for the money.
Steal dragon eggs here, kill a couple witches there. Get the cash no matter what circumstances.
But then his next assignment came in, courtesy of one Norman Osborn.
The information was short and straight to the point; Norman wanted one of the fairies that lived in the magic forest to have children with.
Not just any fairy though. Osborn wanted one named Peter.
So Tony accepted the request and went on his merry way to capture the fairy.
And maybe if Peter hadn't been so nice and caring and oh so easily trusting, or if Tony had any sense of self preservation and common sense, he wouldn't have stayed.
But he did. He stayed in Peter's cottage, watching and learning new things about the brown haired fairy everyday.
Peter was perfect in every way, so kind in a way that Tony hadn't been cared for in years. His smile was dazzling and his eyes twinkled so nicely.
His wings were an amazing green, sparkling in the sunlight whenever the two decided to take a stroll around the small pond near the cottage.
They would sit on the bank under a tree and watch animals walk by as Peter giggled, wings fluttering and placing flowers in Tony's hair to form a crown.
But when a message from Norman came in as Tony went back into town for a day to get food, Tony knew that he had to ignore whatever he felt for Peter and complete the assignment.
That's when his idea came in. Osborn just wanted a child right? Tony could... Tony could provide that, he could take the child but leave Peter be. Let him live peacefully in his cottage, with his tulip garden and his kitchen that always smelled of fresh bread and-
So he convinced Peter to sleep with him, taking him apart and making sure he felt good.
A few weeks later Tony wiped Peter's tears and placed soft kisses on his face as the fairy sobbed his way through telling him that he was with child. As Peter looked at him with hopeful and adoring eyes when Tony held him.
The guilt was still there, but Tony knew what he had to do. But it was for the money. Always for the money.
Tony stayed throughout the pregnancy, making sure he had everything that he wanted. And Peter glowed. Looking positively tasteful with a nice blush everytime he looked at Tony, thinking that the older man wouldn't catch him.
He would talk about his life before Tony came; telling him about how a hunter had captured and killed his only living relatives. How Peter had escaped the hunter and ran until he ended up in the cottage.
How the first man he had ever loved had left him after they spent the night together. How Peter was glad that Tony hadn't done the same as the first man, Wade, and had chosen to stay. How he was glad that Tony wouldn't leave him.
Tony knew the guilt was getting worse on those nights. Knew that he only had a couple of months until the deadline for the assignment came to smack him in the face.
The assignment that he both loved and hated himself for accepting.
And then came the day. Peter had almost crushed his hand as he had pushed, crying happy tears as a loud cry had pierced the air.
Tony had placed the baby on Peter's chest, watching as the fairy had looked down at the child they had made and then looked up with tired eyes and murmured a soft "I love you."
Placing a sleeping drug mixed in with painkillers in his water, Tony had pushed the cup towards Peter and made sure that the fairy drank all of it. Tony wiped a drop of the water that had leaked out of Peter's tired mouth with his shaking hands.
He had watched over his family that night, over the love of his life. Heart constricting with regret at something that he had to do.
But he knew he had to do it. For the money. Always for the money.
Tears leaked out of his eyes as he gently pulled Peter's arms away from their child. Even in his sleep and doused in painkillers, Peter's beautiful face scrunched up almost as if he knew what would happen.
The baby, a beautiful boy with Peter's curls and Tony's brown eyes gave no resistance as it's father picked it up. Boy was a loose term, with the tiny red wings that sprung out of his back, fluttering softly every few minutes.
Tony had glanced back at the pretty fairy in his bed, already mourning his brown eyes, his dazzling smile, and his wings that fluttered with every giggle.
Those wings. The wings that Tony would glaze his fingers over every night.
Osborn would want proof that Peter had died in childbirth if Tony was going to stick with that story.
With pitiful sobs bubbling out of him, Tony had set down the baby carefully in a basket from the kitchen. Shaking hands grabbing a knife on his way back to the room where Peter lay sleeping.
"I'm so sorry my love, I'm so sorry." Tony had cried, standing above the bed with the knife poised above his head. And with a single stroke, brought the knife down in the spot where Peter's beautiful wings met his soft skin.
After a night spent making his way out of the woods, Tony walks out into town. In one arm, his baby with beautiful brown curls. And in the other, Peter's wings that no longer fluttered or glittered in the sun.
And as his foot hit the spot where the woods ended, Tony could almost hear a broken anguished scream coming from inside a cottage next to the pond.
But it was for the money, Tony reminded himself. Always for the money.

So i have this Au that takes place in the future (around 30 years later) and i want to post stuff about it but IDK if it´s a good idea?Because even if it takes place in the MLB universe the plot coud as well be used of an original idea i´ve had inmind as well. I jsut wanted to ask some MLB AU focused blog about what i shoud do. If you´d rather talk about it privately, my inbox is open!
@alfa-draws I’d say it depends on what you’re planning to do with your original idea. If you’re not planning on publishing it, then go for it! If you are, I don’t know if using the exact same plot is a good idea (I’d look into this one if that’s what you were thinking as I don’t entirely know how copyright law works). If the plots are only basically the same but have enough differences that they are somewhat distinct from each other, it’s probably fine
