oh you're very welcome!! i'm a gifmaker too so i know how hard it can be on this website which is why i like to leave nice tags on gifsets to show appreciation lol. as for color combos i honestly just love purple!! i am also a big fan of dark blue combined with light purple like the combo i have going on in my blog's mobile theme. but i'm sure whatever you make will look awesome!

In my hardcover copy of Breaking Dawn*, it's page 388 that Edward is described as having a "almost-honey-lilac-and-sun-flavored scent" which I think is where the "sunshine-scented" bit comes from.

Later, though, on page 395, Bella says, "I had an odd urge to blink--like I was staring at the sun" in reference to seeing Carlisle as a newborn for the first time.

I hope this is a satisfying answer!

*I'm using the first edition from 2008, not the weird ones with broken text that they have now lol
