#controversial #startingdiscourse i do think it's funny that buck buckley is on screen canonically struggling a lot with what it means to be bisexual and hasn't even called himself anything but an Ally and possibly attached a lot of his sexuality to his relationship and has not yet put together Who He Really Is and What He Really Wants, all of which is incredibly interesting with a lot of conflict and opportunity for character exploration, but we forego discussing any of this in great depth (buck gets to be happy and relieved) and instead every other day litigate pure fanon around eddie's sexuality in a way that's pretty much entirely unfounded in the text at this point and also very obviously is influenced by shit people want to say about his racial and cultural background. 'most of' implies to me that At Least One of their siblings was activated at this point, but if their only siblings were void and clover that wouldn't be Most Of them still asleep, that'd be Half Of. or it’d make more sense to say ‘one of’ my siblings is still asleep

also if it was one of the two we know of, who do we think was the sibling who was awake? I would think clover since it theyre the same model and they’ve been likened as twins, it’d make sense to me with fp being friend_program01 then clover would be friend_program02, but being robots, being made/activated in relation to one another doesn’t have much bearing on their ‘age’ im pretty sure. like clover could’ve been activated years later but would still be fp’s twin based on being technologically related and the same model. it’s entirely likely void hadn’t even been built yet and clover was asleep and the sibling(s) who was awake was neither of them. another Earlier-in-the-game-than-this⬆️-one game over report says they made a new model so it wouldn’t make the same mistakes fp did, probably being the first of the newer models like void is but not about void specifically

each of these episodes just reveal a little bit more about how loving and soft gwen is and idk i love her so unbelievably much so seeing that she felt guilt about the bonzo stuff just made her so much more real :(

What do you think as Hermione's career would be post battle of Hogwarts? To me her being minister for magic really doesn't make sense. She does not have patience or tact to wade through murky waters of politics 😭😭

So hard to say! The Trio are so, so young when we leave them, I find it almost impossible to project their futures farther than a few years out. The job that suited me at 17 would be radically unsuited to me now. That's why of all the Trio, Ron's ending strikes me as the most realistic — he jumps straight into the save-the-world business again, burns out, realizes he's actually Done The Fuck Enough, Thanks, and pivots into a low-stress career where he gets to see his family a lot. Feels accurate! The others are weirder to me because they do seem to just... pick a lane and stay there.

With Hermione, you could spin her a couple ways. You could say that she leans into her bookish side and does research or teaching, which is not my preference for a couple reasons (namely, I don't think Hermione would like academia as a profession; she finds her classwork interesting and enjoys intellectual validation, but she'd be stifled and wasted in a DPhil program, and she'd be infuriated by the administrative politicking of your average higher-ed faculty). You could say that she gets disaffected with politics and ends up as a barrister or a lobbyist of some kind, but if anything that requires more political finesse, because you don't actually have institutional power, you're just handling the people who make decisions and trying to persuade them of your goals. This is not Hermione's preferred method of influence. She's not even particularly good at persuasion, she just happens to be smart enough (and right often enough) that people take her ideas seriously.

Or you could say her brashness fades with the years into a softened flavor of tell-you-like-it-is honesty, which some politicians actually do successfully trade on; as we see in British politics today, you don't have to be all that charming or clever to get ahead, you just need to be really driven and well-connected (which Hermione completely is; she fought shoulder-to-shoulder with the first postwar Minister and her bestie, the Literal Messiah, runs the Auror Office.) But I don't know if Hermione especially wants to be Minister, after the war. She's just watched years of horrendous bureaucratic incompetence plunge the country into a violent civil conflict. She's had not one, but two Ministers of Magic try to bully or shame her friends into complicity with fascism. Her view of government is... likely extremely dark.

But Hermione also isn't the kind of person who sees her life as a quest for happiness. Babygirl has a savior complex that makes Harry look selfish. (She basically kills her parents — yeah, obliviating is a form of murder, #changemymind — "for their own good," and justifies every batshit, vindictive, mean-spirited move she ever pulls on the grounds that it "helps" one of her friends.) She is a mean, lean, dragon-slaying machine, and she needs a dragon. After Voldemort, the Ministry is the no. 1 threat to muggle-borns and non-wizarding Beings. As a war heroine with basically infinite political capital, I'd be surprised if she didn't try to do something there. That said, Hermione is so vivacious and dynamic that she could potentially grow in a hundred different directions; it's possible that all of this, while true of her at 18, becomes completely inaccurate by 22. That's why I'm not too fussed about any particular fanon interpretation.

okay, so casper and nova, right? the casper and nova game is one big metaphor for simon and betty’s relationship. and the last thing we see in it is: nova tries to sacrifice herself so casper can get what he wants, and the choices are to either go with that, or nova lives but casper forgets her. and it’s obviously meant to parallel simon and betty’s situation in come along with me after they get swallowed by golb: either betty can sacrifice herself to keep simon safe, or she doesn’t but he goes back to being ice king. (um, that is, assuming that she was correct to think they might revert to the forms they had before getting digested after exiting golb. which is not something we have any actual evidence for. it was just a possibility that occurred to her and a risk she wasn’t willing to take.)

UM. EVERY PART OF THAT WAS BECAUSE OF DECISIONS BETTY MADE INDEPENDENTLY?

betty decides to jump through the portal when simon is trying to say goodbye to her, betty decides to fix the crown and then try to find a way to cure him even after he’s told her he’d rather die than be ice king again, betty decides to fucking summon golb, betty decides to push simon out of golb before he can react at all just in case the crown goes back to its former state once it leaves and just in case there’s no way to get rid of golb without its wish magic.

Please picture douchebag street racer Taigen and his fuckboi electric green suped up Ferrari or some fuckery having to race Mizu in her custom 1979 navy blue impala with white racing stripes that she rebuilt from the ground up herself (and all the grease monkeys are jealous as hell) and Taigen brings his hot gf Akemi along to wave the checkered flag while every car bro, garage gremlin and hotrod babe with 100 miles turns out for this very illegal 3 am drag race with bets flying every which way, and the stakes for Mizu and Taigen are idk, winner gets the loser’s car. And eternal bragging rights and street cred, obv. And Akemi maybe eggs Taigen on way too much in this rivalry shitshow and thinks it’s so much fun (in a rebellious princess-escaped-the-tower kind of way) that after Mizu epically hoses Taigen in this race in front of god, everyone, several state troopers, and every road rat in the area, Akemi adds further fuel to Taigen’s manpain-fire by paying Mizu to work on her car, which Akemi wants to race, but no one will race her because it’s a 1963 Aston goddamn Martin or something and no one could afford to so much as fix a scratch on that thing if they got into a fender bender with her…

Anyway I just need Mizu in a sports bra and a mechanic’s jumpsuit with the sleeves tied up at her waist, and Taigen in the bougiest black ripped jeans too tight tshirt undercut with man bun getup you’ve ever seen, and Akemi in low rise jeans and a 2005 red bandana-print tube top, sitting on the hood of a convertible.

A convertible which I am fundamentally unable to draw. I find this tragic lmao. If I take a break from my main fic to write anything else, I’m worried I’ll lose momentum… but maybe I can write a little tiny oneshot AU on the side for myself. As a treat.

But me and my little brother (he is autistic) we're talking about why he shouldn't be around, and most of the script was writen by him.

Also im unsure if this makes it any better, but Sam wasnt useing "Autistic" as an insult, cause my little brother and both like to think He's just actually Autistic. So that part wasn't ment for an insult (mostly) he was just mad about him being Autistic.

I know I already said this, but he is autistic (my brother and Fuwatti) and he thought it would be funny for him to say. And if your still upset, that's okay!

i try not to be dramatic about it but it really is so traumatic to exist in the modern age as a person with bpd. i fucking hate this current culture we have of "you don't owe anyone anything" because yes the fuck we do. we DO owe our friends respect and trust and communication. i love all my online friends and i don't view those relationships as inherently less real than my in-person ones but it's also so fucking scary to think that literally just the click of a button is all it would take for me to be completely removed from someone's life and i would have no say in it, no way to defend myself or even understand where that person is coming from. i'm sick of all the posts i see where people gloat and brag about how they'll just block their friends with no explanation or word of warning, and even worse, posts i see of people venting about having been cut off by longtime friends for no reason and the comment sections being flooded with "there's always a reason," "i hate to tell you this but you're the problem," and the like. listen, i'm not dense, i know that if someone blocks me it's probably because i said something off-colour or otherwise did something to upset them but like... why didn't you bother bringing it to my attention first? was whatever i did really so heinous and horrific that it wasn't worth attempting to talk it out with me before you just decided that i was no longer welcome in your life?

i'm just... sick of this shit. i'm sick of thinking i am friends with someone only to randomly wake up one day and find out that they've blocked me with no explanation. i'm sick of people bombarding me with lists of all the things i've done that have angered them throughout the course of our relationship before promptly announcing that they're exiting my life for those reasons, and then me having to beg for five minutes of their time so i can apologize for things i still haven't had time to process. people said "the internet isn't real, you can block anyone for any reason, even just being annoying!" and for some reason, nobody realized that this applies to strangers. it's reasonable to expect loyalty and communication from friends. like, if someone is legitimately abusive/dangerous - and no, "friend had a media opinion i didn't like" is not them posing a genuine threat to your safety - then yeah, go ahead and cut them off without saying anything. if someone just kinda sucks and you don't wanna be around them anymore, the least they deserve is an explanation. maybe you can sleep fine at night after slamming the block button on someone who you've decided isn't worth your time, but there's still gonna be someone out there wondering where their friend went.
