“Hey baby, sorry I’m running late. The meeting ran late at work again.” Sighing while you walk to the car.

“It’s ok, you’ll get here when you get here. Be careful driving, there was lots of traffic coming into the arena.” He said with concern in his voice

“I will, I promise. Love you Babe!! I’ll be in my normal seat and should be there by the anthem.” You said with a smile in your voice.

“Love you too, baby.” “Hey, one more thing, can we go get sushi after we, you know what?” He asked quizzically with a laugh at the end.

“Definitely! That sounds delicious.” “See you at the game.” You said as you hung up.

As you were pulling out of the parking garage of your office building, a car blew through a stop sign. T boning your car. Causing your car to flip on to its side. Witnesses come running calling 911 and seeing if they can help.

As he stepped onto the for warm up and he didn’t see you he thought, “She hasn’t made it in yet, but I know she’ll be in for the anthem and opening face off.”

As Vince went back down the tunnel he still did not see you and that was starting to concern him but to calm his nerves he told himself that you were probably getting a snack.

When he came back onto the ice for puck drop. He looks to where you normally are sitting, and he doesn’t see you. “Where is Y/N at?? She’s probably in the bathroom. Hopefully she’ll be back for opening faceoff.” He thinks to help calm his nerves.

When he got that goal against Bobrovsky he looked to see his good luck charm in the stands and you still were not there. He thought maybe you were in the bathroom again.

When the game was over, with the kraken winning he didn’t feel the elation or the happiness that the rest of the team or the fans were feeling. He was very concerned about you. As he went into the dressing room he got his phone out of his bag seeing all of the calls he got from your phone. Listening to one of the voicemails. “Hello this is nurse Macy from Kindred Hospital Seattle, I’m calling to let you know that Y/N has been in a wreck and you were in her phone as her emergency contact. Please call us back to this number and we can give you some more information about her condition.” Vince almost dropped his phone in shock.

When trying to redial your phone number his fingers slipped multiple times and almost called Matty Beniers who was across the dressing room. When he finally was able to call your number it picked on the second ring. “Hello”

“Y/N”

“Sir, is this Vince?”

“Yes”

“Mr. Vince, This is nurse Macy, Y/N was involved in a T bone accident her car flipped onto its side. She seems to be OK other than a few broken bones right now she is asleep.”

“Oh thank everything! She is ok.” He said with a big sigh of relief. “Can I come see her?”

“Yes, you can.” “See you soon.” She said hanging up.

Vince breathes a sigh of relief knowing what happened, but is very concerned about what happened to you. He quickly showers and gets dressed to go see you.

The thing that wakes you up thinking it was a nurse coming to check your vitals. But instead it was Vince holding a box.

“Hi, I brought sushi!” He said with a smile.

Swim Bladder Disorder in Fancy Goldfish: Focusing on Negative Buoyancy Disorder - An Experiment Part 2

I’m going to be recording all of my data on here and in a personal notebook 

( Part 1 talks about the introduction of the experiment) 

Days 1 - 8: 

 Water parameters were adjusting, not really stable 

Scales, fins, eyes, slime coat on all fish appears darker and healthier 

Tank water is getting clearer 

water in the tank had a smell (an earthy, soil aroma) 

Days 9 - 16: (Day 16 would be 12/18/2021) 

water parameters are stable 

Zulu’s buoyancy issues are adjusting BUT not in sync 

tank water is clear 

water in the tank doesn’t smell anymore

Tank parameters so far: 

Nitrates: 20 ppm

Nitrites/Ammonia: 0 ppm

KH: 80 ppm

Notes: 

ppm on the TDS meter:

For days 1 - 7, it was below 300 ppm

For day 8, hit the 300 mark 

For day 9 and beyond, TDS is increasing

GH is increasing ppm on TDS meter ( and other compounds)

A/N: I haven’t done something like this specifically the only thing that is similar is my Pyotr fic (Sun and Sand). You can definitely claim that emoji. (Just a warning it’s not showing up on my phone so if you pick a different one let me know) Sorry it’s taken me a little while to get this done had a little bit of writer’s block.

You woke up to the soft buzz of Logan’s phone telling him it is time to start the day and prepare for his home race. “Logan, what time is it?” You ask rolling from your stomach to your back.

“Almost 7 we don’t have to be at the track until 10:30.” He said rolling over to face you. “What do you want to do until then?” He asked with a grin.

“Cuddle??” You ask scooting closer. “Can we also order breakfast?”

“Sure.” He said handing you the room service menu and grabbing the tv remote.

“What do you want?” You ask, browsing the menu looking to see what sounds good.

“Oatmeal, fruit and eggs. Please.” He says while scrolling the tv menu to see what sounds good.

“You’re boring. Why not get french toast or something actually edible. I’m getting waffles and bacon, something that actually tastes good, old man.” “Oooo, hold on, let's watch Castle.” You said stopping him before he scrolls past it.

After about 20 minutes you hear a knock on the door meaning your breakfast was here, Logan came back from grabbing the tray he asked. “Why is there a plate of muffins here?”

“You needed something other than oatmeal and eggs for today, and I got your favorite.” You answered looking up from your episode of castle.

After breakfast as you are slowly getting untangled from the blankets and Logan, you ask. “What do I wear? Of course I’m going to wear my Williams shirt. I'm not that dumb.” “Do I wear shorts or pants?”

“Shorts, Y/N it’s Florida in the summer it’s 90 million degrees outside, you’ll overheat in pants.”

Sun and Sand

A/N: sorry it was posted late, this is for Pyotr’s shutout on Saturday

You came down to Florida with Pyotr to support him in his second stint in the NHL this season after Andersen was sidelined. You said it was an excuse to support him but you really just wanted to go to the beach.

After the bad loss on Friday to Florida with Pyotr sitting on the bench. You were ready to get home, but you still had to go through Tampa. When you got off the plane that you took with the boys to Tampa there was a sense of dread in the air for not knowing if the game will end well or not. With Pyotr starting you were nervous as hell because you didn’t know what was going to happen. As the periods ticked away in the game, and save after save that Pyotr made, your anxiety got less and less. When the clock hit zero and the buzzer went off, you screamed your head off, and you went to celebrate with the team.

The morning after you woke up in Pyotr’s arms cuddled up, after a few minutes when you knew he was awake. You softly asked “Instead of taking the plane back with the team can we stay an extra day and go to the beach?”

He looked down on you with a soft smile and a kiss and said “Of course, baby.” “Is that why you packed our bathing suits?” He said with a grin.

“Maybe”

Once y’all got ready to go, you took an Uber to Clearwater beach. The sand was so white and the water so blue and warm. You swam while Pyotr read. After a while you convinced him to come swim with you. Y’all jumped the waves and swam in the salty water. After a while both of you started to get hungry, so you found a taco shop down the beach a little bit. Once y’all were filled with tacos, y’all went back out into the sun to read and nap. As it was getting dark Pytor woke you up and said “It’s getting dark we should probably head out.”

“But I’m hungry.” You said

“I’ll find somewhere to eat.” He said holding up a finger, “The phone said there is a seafood place up the road from here with good reviews.”

“Ooo let’s do that.”

When y’all got to the restaurant, it smelled delicious. As you sat down, you hadn’t realized how red you had gotten till now. “Oops I forgot to reapply sunscreen after lunch.” Once dinner was done, y’all Ubered back to your hotel, as you were getting ready for bed, you mentioned to Pyotr “Do we have to leave? The weather here is 10 times better than Raleigh.”

A/N pt 2: Yes I’ve been to Tampa and Clearwater a bunch of times that’s how I was able to put the details in.

Under The Moonlight

A/n: Someone telling me that Swayman was from Alaska, going on a Alaska cruise this past summer and falling in love with Alaska, and writing this fic now has me wanting to go back now and go camping.

“How much farther, Jeremy?” You said as you slowly hiked up the hill behind him.

“Only two more miles,” He said, exasperated.

“You said that two miles ago” 

“Only a little bit more.” He said as you got to where he was standing, overlooking the beautiful valley, “  now this is where we are camping” he said with a smile on his face.

When you finally made camp, Jeremy gave you the task of setting up the tent, while he boiled water for dinner. “Hey Sway, does this look right?”

“Let me come look,” he said as he got up from the ground where he was sitting.

“Y/N you did it wrong, it looks nothing like the instructions.” He said with a frown on his face.

“What do you mean I did it wrong, it looks like the instructions.” You said

“Y/N you had the booklet upside down!” He said with a laugh.

“Oh.” You said with a frown.

After the tent was set up correctly and dinner was done, y’all watched the sun get lower and lower in the sky as it sets long after it should if y’all were at your apartment in Boston. “The super long days still weird me out even though it’s my fourth summer coming up here.” You said with a smile. 

You crawl into the tent first, right after the sun sets but Jeremy stays up just listening to the sounds from the valley below. After about an hour you hear your name being softly called, “Y/N” “Y/N” “Y/N” Jeremy called softly, “Come here” he whispers. 

“Why?” you called back.

“Just come here.” He said a little harder.

When you climb back out of the tent, the stars are shining so bright, much brighter than you ever see in Boston.

In the morning you woke up to the soft wind blowing on the tent walls. And a slow morning including pancakes and coffee. And slowly packing up camp with Jeremy saying that he will be packing up the tent.

Being With Anthony Beauvillier On His Last Day In New York

A/N: I was planning on doing an angsty one but I wrote this at 5am on valentine’s Day cause insomnia sucks so y’all are getting fluffy. Sorry if it makes no sense, it made sense to my half asleep brain but I promise I did reread it before I posted it. Sorry it’s super short.

“Hey Freddie I don’t know if you’ll hear this as you’re in the middle of a game, but I have something to tell you and when you get this will you call..”

“Y/N, you do know I’ve been on this call the whole time?”

“What? I thought I heard the beep, and aren't you in the middle of a game?”

“It's the second intermission, I don’t know how you heard a beep, I’m sitting in the locker room. Are you about to monologue your feelings for me via voicemail?”

“Maybe, can I or do I need to hang up the phone and call again so I get voice mail?”

“You can do it now.” And you could tell he had the biggest grin on his face.

“Freddie, you know how you asked me to move in with you right before you left for the road trip and I was so stunned I couldn’t answer you right away and you told me to take my time, I think I know my answer. Yes. I would love to move in with you and all of your plants. And you make the best dinner in the world, and I can’t wait to take our relationship to the next level!!” After your monologue you couldn’t hear anything from the otherside of the phone.

After a moment he softly spoke. “I can’t wait for you to move in with me.” And you could hear the tears in his voice. “Hey, I’m sorry I can’t talk longer we are about to go back out for the third.”

Hopefully this finally posts correctly, from it deleting half of it from my google doc, and not letting me copy it onto my tumblr, then tumblr deleting it from my tumblr last night. This fic has been through a lot, this fic is for @lila-rose for @callsign-denmark ‘s Luck of the puck fic exchange. It was so fun to write for you!! And getting to write for Andrei, I love getting to watch stuff about him. Sorry about the last scene it was my first time writing a bar scene.

When you picked up the phone to start the call that you were dreading, you could feel the nerves all over your body. Once you got up the nerves to call after the first ring he picked up immediately.

As the plane touches down in beautiful Florida you turn your phone off airplane mode and start texting Andrei. “Hey I know you have already started your pre game nap so you don’t have to respond, but we just landed and are taxing to the gate.” You follow it up with a second quick text. “I’ll see you tonight.”

As Tampa got a second goal behind Andersen, Carolina came back and did the same thing for Vasilevskiy. But when one of the canes gets hurt and has to come off the ice, the Lightning take advantage of it and come out strong for the third. As the clock runs out the canes lose by two but it was just what the Lightning was needing after a horrible loss to the Devils on Thursday. After the game, and the team has came off the ice and started to pack up. Andrei came walking up from the home locker rooms. “Hey, Y/N since you don’t fly out until Monday do you want to go out tomorrow night for Den’ Svyatogo Patrika?”

“Sure, pick me up at my hotel.”

Lets talk about the Wonder Shell.

An excellent product that most fish keepers completely frown upon, are completely confused about or have completely spread false information about.

I have been doing my continuous research on water chemistry for my 55 gallon aquarium, and I ran across these guys again on American Aquarium Products(AAP).

I have used these before exactly, when I first started this hobby, a fellow goldfish keeper sent me a couple of samples for free. I had NO IDEA of what to do with them at the time, so I just chucked them in my tank and replaced them, every time they completely dissolved. I wasn't testing my water at the time, but my first thought of them was thinking of them as a complete waste of time since I didn't physically see any changes.

I recently ordered a pack from AAP, after FINALLY understanding on how to use them.

I am going to put my interpretation on what the product is about. ( You can't use their information unless you ask) If you would like to find out more, I definitely recommend checking out their website.

Also, I fully respect this company, due to their commitment of spending over 3 decades ( and continuing) of dedicated research to improve and help fish keepers in the aquarium hobby.

This product comes in three sizes ( small, medium, and large) and can be used accordingly, depending on what is the water volume in your tank.

Not only do they sell regular shells, but they also sell medicated Wonder shells ( find out more from AAP).

AAP are the ORIGINAL creators and distributors of this product. If you see anyone else selling this product, they are either fakes or old "discharged and expired" shells that are no longer usable. They never gave anyone else the permission to sell this product.

AAP has the science to back up this product and work hard to keep this product up to quality. If you want the freshest product, a charged product, you get it from AAP.

This product can be used in freshwater, marine, brackish aquariums and ponds ( AAP sells specific sizes for ponds and marine aquariums)

This product DOES NOT fix poor water quality, but is used for continued water maintenance.

This product focuses on adding in minerals and electrolytes for GH in an aquarium. It DOES NOT affect pH and KH. Checking your water chemistry is important when using this product, especially if you are someone who has a planted aquarium, have fish that live in acidic water, or if your someone who keeps fish that could be sensitive to rising GH.

The whole point of the Wonder shell is for osmotic function and redox balance in an aquarium, while reducing oxidative stress.

Contrary to popular belief, this product was made and created for fish and for the overall aquarium, not for invertebrates.

prevents toxic ammonia build - up

aids in prevention of disease in fish
