Summary: General dating/relationship headcanons for Varian

As friends, you're kinda like nerd buddies! Varian would rant to you on and on when you visited him in his lab. After a bit, Ruddiger seemed to grow affectionate towards you, so you kept visiting. You'd help him with his experiments sometimes, but you'd mainly hang out with Ruddiger, reading a book somewhere. The two of you grew close! And.. Varian found himself hoping you'd visit more and more.

As partners? Well, Varian doesn't change much, but he definitely becomes a lot more awkward. He tries at romantic advances, but.. they don't turn out well. While dating him, expect lots of dorky, unsuccessful flirting attempts.

He tries for you, though! Varian doesn't know much about romance, other than how to artificially create it. Which he.. hasn't figured out how to do yet. At least he has a natural source, now. He finds himself relating to a lot more.. lovey-dovey things, that he'd normally never understand. In a way, you opened his eyes to love. All of these emotions, suddenly exploding inside of him--all because of you. Sweet, huh?

Varian often finds himself distracted when you visit. He hardly gets any work done because you're there.. which is partly his fault, for looking at you every 20 seconds. He's grown a love-hate relationship to you visiting. Mainly "love", though.

After you leave, he immediately groans, thinking of all the things he did wrong around you. You can find him ranting to Ruddiger afterwards, mainly complaining about the way you made him feel. Not the way you made him feel, but rather the way you made him act. He feels a fool around you.. and wonders why you even love him back.

Ruddiger isn't gonna stand for that bullcrap. This little rat rascal bites Varian to snap him out of it. Once he gets over his self-concious arc, Varian finds himself smitten. Sometimes he becomes a blushing mess just thinking about you. Now he's tripping over his own feet, (with as awkward as he is), and Ruddiger feels as if he's made him even worse.

About the failed flirtings. They're hysterical. But, talking about some things that actually land in your relationship, are nicknames. For him, you range from Var, nerd, V, to some of the more romantic ones, like "hun". He seems to get flustered at that one. As for romantic nicknames for you? He.. well, he tries. In turn, Varian also uses hun or honey, seeing as they're the most comfortable, but he doesn't use them often. Either calls you by your initial (if it works), or just some inside joke like "geek" or "smart-alec"

Surprisingly, or maybe not, Varian's an absolute sucker for PDA. Him, being the dork he is, will explain to you the physical benefits on the human mind to hugs and physical affection--and when you actually hug him, he'll freeze. He's grown used to your touch, though, and finds himself hugging back most of time time, if you don't startle him. If anything, he loves to hold your hand. If he's opened up enough, he'll let you hold his hand without his gloves.. may not happen often, though. But yes, anywhere you're going, Varian's holding your hand. No way around it.

Sometimes you'd fall asleep at his lab, most likely with a book in your hand, and it's the most adorable thing he's seen. Theres an 89% chance that Ruddiger's there, snuggled up next to you. Varian makes sure to wake you up before it gets late.. on your busy days. If he knows you have nothing to do in the morning.. he'll leave you be to sleep till morning. He knows you need the rest, and you looked too cute peaceful to wake up now. (This situation can go for Varian aswell, especially if he spends nights awake working on experimenting)

As for dates, you two would have many home-dates, but if you're going anywhere, you're going to the library! Despite the location being extremely tame, he still feels nervous asking you out. Corona's libraries were always quiet and peaceful, and the best place for Varian to nerd out to you about any chemistry books that they happened to have. Either this, or a field somewhere out in Old Corona. Exploring dates were fun aswell, where one of you would take a backpack and just wander around the forests, chatting about any little thing that comes to your mind. If nowhere else--Monty's sweet shop, if it's a special day of sorts, like the Day of Hearts.

Oh, how could I forget? The Day of Hearts was always a holiday that Varian would pass over, seeing as he had more important things to do than indulge himself in romance with.. himself only. So when you reminded him about it, he almost spit out his hot cocoa. And if he was being completely honest, he most definitely forgot about it. Feels slightly ashamed, but now excited for the holiday! Excited to spend it with you, mainly.. And of course, you sign the journal together. Varian's still a nervous wreck, so his signature was a bit more shaky than he'd like it to be. It was the thought that counted.. right? If you stumble into Rapunzel and Eugene at the festival, expect lots of adoring coo-ing from Rapunzel and relentless teasing from Eugene. He's still as dorky and sarcastic as ever when confronted with the teasing, but the fit of flushed red on his face gave away everything you needed to know.

But Rapunzel's right. The two of you are extremely cute together, you even look like you were made for each other! The simple thought of that makes Varian want to faint, but he'll come to terms with it eventually. Just know that romance is definitely not his strong suit, but he managed to not draw you away, so he's gotta be doing something. Otherwise, Varian stays his loveable, dorky, sarcastic self. But now, with just a little bit more of hand holding.

And you did sign the Day of Hearts journal together, so if that doesn't give you a telltale sign of where your relationship is going, I don't know what will.

Faramir tends to be a bit bashful when providing affection. He doesn't dislike it, but it can sometimes make him shy. He loves showering you with subtle but romantic forms of affection like giving you a flower he picked off the side of the trail or kissing/nuzzling your cheek.

B = Best friend (What would they be like as a best friend? How would the friendship start?)

Faramir would be a great best friend. He would do his best to make sure that you are respected (and will throw hands with anyone who dares insult you). He loves spending time with you and will plan his days around the two of you hanging out. Overall, he's very supportive and just wants you to feel happy and safe in the friendship you have with him.

C = Cuddles (Do they like to cuddle? How would they cuddle?)

Faramir really likes cuddling with you! His favorite way to cuddle is any position where he gets to burry his face into the crook of your neck. He also likes it when you rest on top of him and he gets to play with your hair or rub your back.

D = Domestic (Do they want to settle down? How are they at cooking and cleaning?)

He 100% wants to settle down, and he's really good at cooking and cleaning too. He taught himself these things pretty early on in his life, so you never have to worry if you require a helping hand!

E = Ending (If they had to break up with their partner, how would they do it?)

If he ever had to break up with a S/O, Faramir would be really sad about it. Most likely the breakup is for the best, even if it is disappointing. He never wants to hurt the ones he loves, so tears would be shed during the actual breaking-up process. He would still stay close friends with you though.

F = Fiance(e) (How do they feel about commitment? How quick would they want to get married?)

Faramir is committed and is ready to marry you whenever you're ready to get married. He is content with being patient if you'd rather wait, but he wouldn't have a problem with getting married quickly, especially after an engagement.

G = Gentle (How gentle are they, both physically and emotionally?)

Physically he's very gentle. Whenever he touches you, you almost don't feel it because his touch is feather-light. Emotionally he's gentle too: his eyes hold the deepest affection for you, and he's not one to raise his voice toward you, like, ever. If he does raise his voice, it's to defend you or someone else.

H = Hugs (Do they like hugs? How often do they do it? What are their hugs like?)

He loves them! He especially likes it when he can burry his face into the top of your head and breathe in the sweet smell of your freshly washed hair or more casual hugs where he gets to press a kiss to your temple.

I = I love you (How fast do they say the L-word?)

He says it pretty fast, but it takes him a bit longer than he would have liked to build up to the statement. He thinks that you are such a wonderful and beautiful person, which made him nervous to tell you. Also, he didn't want to ruin your friendship if you didn't feel the same way. So in short: he said it fast but thought went into the process of telling you.

J = Jealousy (How jealous do they get? What do they do when they’re jealous?)

He doesn't get jealous to an extreme, because he knows that you are just as devoted to him as he is to you. When he does get jealous, he lets others know that your heart belongs to him alone (a sentiment that you agree with greatly). He's always there to defend you with words or sword if ever someone is making you uncomfortable as well.

K = Kisses (What are their kisses like? Where do they like to kiss you? Where do they like to be kissed?)

His kisses can range from deep and passionate to casual or playful depending on the situation and both of your moods. He likes to kiss you on the forehead and really likes kissing your jawline. Faramir likes to be kissed primarily on the mouth and on the top or palm of his hands.

L = Little ones (How are they around children?)

He likes them! Because of his upbringing, he's always kind to them and listens intently when they speak. He would love to have some of his own someday!

M = Morning (How are mornings spent with them?)

Mornings with Faramir are spent slowly. He likes to wake you up by gently rubbing your shoulder or back and then spending the next thirty minutes or so holding you close. When you two are in a hurry, you work together to make sure that you're both ready for the day so that you are on time for whatever tasks need to be completed.

N = Night (How are nights spent with them?)

Nights are relaxing. In the evenings you two will go on walks together and then come home to eat dinner. Once you both have eaten, you two will wash up together and hop into bed to sleep.

O = Open (When would they start revealing things about themselves? Do they say everything all at once or wait a while to reveal things slowly?)

Faramir opens up slowly, which is part of the reason why it took him awhile to confess his true feelings to you. He carries a lot of insecurities with him because of the way his father treated him when he was younger, and it pains him to bring it up. However, he knows how patient you are, especially as he gets to know you, and your warmness allows him to open up more and more over time without fear of judgement.

P = Patience (How easily angered are they?)

He's not easily angered and is really only angry if someone wrongs you.

Q = Quizzes (How much would they remember about you? Do they remember every little detail you mention in passing, or do they kind of forget everything?)

He remembers so much about you to the point that it's impressive. He has things like your favorite flower, what books you like to read, and the order in which you do certain activities memorized. He collects little details about you and keeps them in his heart and mind forever. It's a sort of love language for him.

R = Remember (What is their favorite moment in your relationship?)

His favorite moment in your relationship is your first anniversary together. He loved knowing that your love for him ran deeper than the surface, and was excited to find that you wanted to spend more time with him after that first year as well. He looks back at that memory with fondness.

S = Security (How protective are they? How would they protect you? How would they like to be protected?)

Like I said before, Faramir does not get angry unless someone hurts you. If someone were to hurt you with words or force, he would address it right away and make sure that that person never came near you again (if they hurt you on purpose. In situations where someone accidentally hurt you, he would be more patient and would try to find where/how the accident or miscommunication occurred.

Faramir likes it when you defend him with your words. He didn't have very many instances where people stood up for him (besides his brother) so it's nice when you speak up on his behalf.

T = Try (How much effort would they put into dates, anniversaries, gifts, everyday tasks?)

He puts in a lot of time, especially when he has the time to give. He loves setting up little things for you like a bath with candles or a picnic on the first day of spring. He's really particular about dates so he never misses your birthday or any other important calendar days.

U = Ugly (What would be some bad habits of theirs?)

He can be very insecure with himself, which causes him to doubt.

V = Vanity (How concerned are they with their looks?)

He's concerned to a certain extent. He always makes sure that he's clean and that he looks neat, but his looks are not something that get a lot of attention beyond that unless it's a special occasion.

W = Whole (Would they feel incomplete without you?)

Yes and No. Faramir was able to find out a lot about himself through you, but ultimately he knows that he is his own person and that he would be fine with or without a partner.

X = Xtra (A random headcanon for them.)

He knows a lot about different things related to nature, specifically flowers. Plants provide him a lot of peace, and he can see his own strength in the branches of a tree or the stem of a flower.

Y = Yuck (What are some things they wouldn’t like, either in general or in a partner?)

In general he doesn't like it when people put down others to make themselves feel better. It makes him uncomfortable and he always speaks up if he witnesses it.

Z = Zzz (What is a sleep habits of theirs?)

He feels the most comfortable sleeping on his stomach. If you're sleeping together, he will often wrap his arm around your waist as he rests. He also sleeps really deeply. Once he's asleep he's out for the count.

When You and Jimmy's Marriage Fell Apart (And the Time He Nearly Killed You)

Over the next few months, you and your bandmates got to work on Operation Divorce. While the entire band and you would seemingly follow Jimmy Crystal's demands for the Anniversary show to the letter, behind the scenes is where the real work was being done.

Everything was falling into place. The alternate costumes were chosen. The pyrotechnics were up and running. The list of songs you and your band would perform was chosen and rehearsed. One of your bandmates was able to call in favor of a lioness named Ruby to essentially be your getaway driver. You called your parents to inform them about your current situation and plan to take you and their granddaughter to their home.

Everything was set. Yet, as the day of the anniversary concert crawled close and hours started to tick down, for the first time in a long time, you felt yourself growing anxious to be on stage. Sure, you've been anxious before early in your career, but never the type of anxiety that threatens to steal your breath away and leave you frozen on the spot.

However, with some encouraging words from your band, friends, and your daughter Porscha (who was there to watch you from behind the scenes), you were able to steel yourself and strut to the stage with your band behind your back

Jimmy wasn't lying when he told you this concert would be BIG. The stadium you and your band were performing in was packed to the very back overflowing the stands, your fans' cheers were deafening. And Smack dab in the middle of the VIP front seats was Jimmy Crystal. He wasn't cheering like everyone else around him, but he wasn't exactly showing you any support. No matter.

It's showtime anyways

You give a little greeting and thank you to everyone in the audience for coming to see you and your band perform tonight, singling out Jimmy Crystal in the crowd when announcing that tonight it's both your anniversary tonight. You make sure to emphasize your gratitude to Jimmy and how you dedicated this show specifically to him before breaking into your first song. The stage was dressed in pristine white with turquoise and gold accents, with a props made to look like crystals decorating the stage. You were dressed in white with frills and your signature flowers, while the rest of your band were dressed in turquoise. All of you dressed as if you were at a wedding.

For the first few songs, all of you performed as Jimmy Crystal specified, yet the latter couldn't help but pick up the subtle digs you threw his way while singing. However, he didn't think much of it as you threw flirty winks and blew kisses at him, which he proudly accepted as his fellow VIPS cheered for him.

Yet, the change became evident when your next song started with a slow guitar riff that proceeded to speed up. You locked eyes with Jimmy as you got to the crescendo. At the precise moment the high note hit, you ripped off your earlier costume to reveal a far more colorful and wild outfit underneath. That was the signal for the rest of the band to do the same, revealing their own bizarre outfits and makeup almost like warpaint. The stage lights then darken to a red to match your fury and passion, the prop crystals darken, and fire bursts from the sides of the stage with dry ice spilling out from all sides.

As the piece of resistance, the sign above the stage that read "Happy Aniversary" dropped to reveal a secondary sign reading "HAPPY DIVORCE". Signed by you and the rest of your band. Only a person with no eyes or ears would mistake your contempt for Jimmy as anything else. That especially is true when you rip off the necklace that Jimmy once gifted you.

On your last song, you got off the stage to sing every lyric about how you're sick of living under Crystal's thumb. Jimmy, feeling the millions of eyes staring at him and laughter echoing in his ears, tries to escape the burning spotlight you put him under. Yet, you would not let him go easily as you stalked him down the aisles until you cornered him. You only went back to the stage after taking off your wedding band to hand to your husband, before practically skipping away as if a heavy weight had finally been removed from your shoulders. You and your band finish the set proud and strong.

As the show finally came to an end fireworks started to go off above the stadium. However, you didn't miss your soon-to-be ex-husband speaking with his security.

Taking this as your cue, you quickly rush your goodbye to the crowd and give your thanks to your band before sprinting off the stage. You scoop up five-year-old Porscha and grab your go bags before rushing out behind the stadium to where Ruby is already waiting for you with a running car.

Porscha looks up at you with her big puppy eyes as you buckle her in place. She asks, "Where we goin' mommy?" You tell your shining star that both of you are going to visit Nana and Pop Pop.

You spot Jimmy Crystal just as he slams the backstage doors open, surrounded by his security. You're able to feel his cold eyes burning two holes into you, his lips curled back into a snarl, ears folded back, and claws bared on either side of him. The wolf before you was truly an animal.

"RUBY, GUN IT!"

The Lioness doesn't ask twice as your husband's team of men starts to rush towards all of you to surround you. They back away immediately when Ruby nearly runs over a grey wolf in front of her. You flip off Jimmy as all of you speed off onto the highway.

Ruby tried to assure you that you and Porscha were safe now, yet you had no illusions that Jimmy would follow shortly after you. However, you did not voice this to a shaken Porscha and assure her that nothing bad will happen to her.

"Is this because Daddy is mad at you?"

You didn't have a chance to give her an answer to placate her before, you noticed a familiar limo in the rearview mirror. You turn to Ruby and inform her about the limo behind you. The lioness looks out the corner of her eye, noticing your anxious expression as you hold your daughter's paw.

In an instant, Ruby has a mental "Fuck it." in her head before changing gears to go over the speed limit, weaving through multiple cars while paying no mind to their honking and drivers' angered shouts. Porscha lets out happy shrieks throughout the wild ride, feeling as if she's in a go-kart. Meanwhile, you dug your claws into your seat, shredding the fabric underneath. Yet, Ruby's insane driving was effectively shaking Jimmy off your tail.

Just when you thought that you were in the clear, In her haste, Ruby accidentally caused a traffic jam when she failed to comprehend the red light in time and then crashed into a police cruiser. Luckily, neither you nor Porscha were hurt besides you having some bruises from the airbag going off in your face.

The crash gave Jimmy enough time to start to catch up with you and Ruby. So the latter didn't waste any time telling you to scram when the cop got out of his car with Jimmy swiftly approaching. You give your thanks again to Ruby as you have Porscha piggy-backing on you with bags in hand, before then running from the scene.

While Porscha has no idea really why you ran through traffic before jumping from a bridge onto a bus, then landing in the bushes in a park, followed by you cutting through a carnival, she had to admit it she was having the time of her life! It's a shame you didn't get any cotton candy when you ran through the last place though. Although, you did promise her some later at Nana and Pop Pop's.

Your vision was blurring with your heartbeat roaring in your ears, you felt your legs were turning into lead, and drawing breath becoming harder to do with each passing second. Yet, seeing the airport up ahead, just a few meters in front of you gave you the push you needed to cross that finish line and through those automatic doors. You give a tired grin as you set down Porscha.

Finally, you and your star shine were free, free from the oppressive grip of your husband. You can start all over and live your days without having someone breathing down your neck or stuckling against their oppresive thumb...

Is the thought that crossed your mind. Unfortunately, in reality, you barely made it to security before more of Jimmy’s personal security surrounded you and Porscha

Your daughter didn’t understand why you were so scared, nor why were you dragged away from her. Nobody would explain anything to her, but she knew it wasn’t anything good.

You didn’t bother looking at Jimmy in the eyes as you “escorted” to his office. After dismissing his goons, it was just the two of you in his large and rather pretentious office. you tensed, expecting him to lash out you with the same claws, and you could tell by the furious look in his cold eyes that he REALLY wanted to. But after a brief moment where you forgot to breathe, he gives a heavy sigh before gesturing you to follow him to his balcony overlooking all of Redshore City. The lights below shining brighter than the stars above to the point you can’t see them even this high up.

you stood beside him with a few feet as a buffer between you two. Jimmy is the first to speak, although it came out more as a growl which you barely caught over the sound of the wind.

”Why?…”

when you asked what he said, he snapped his head toward you with those cold eyes burning into your head. Without anything between you two, you are forced to take the full force of his fury and a step back.

”WHY? Why are you such an ingrate after EVERYTHING I did for this family?! For us?!?”

this time, a snark escapes from your muzzle as you growl back. You finally let him have it, voicing everything that you’ve been conditioned to keep to yourself. Ok how Jimmy isn’t really your husband anymore as much as he’s a manager that has to micromanage every aspect of her life. In fact, he ceased viewing you as a wife and more like arm candy for his fellow billionaires. You hoped he would improve when you both had a daughter, straighten his act for Porscha, but annihilated that hope when he couldn’t even do it for her! You wanted out, out from the city, and for Jimmy to be out of your life. When you finished, you crossed your arms and turned your back to Mr.Crystal, your decision final.

You didn’t have to look behind you to know that Mr. Crystal was huffing and puffing behind you, resembling every bit of the Big Bad Wolf from all those fairytales.

”Without me! You and your pathetic little band would have NEVER even know the smidge of success you have now! Without me, you’d be a couple of hopeless LOSERS forever playing from podunk town to podunk town!”

You probably shouldn’t have, but you turn around on your heel to get in Mr.Crystal’s space.

”At LEAST, I would be happier than I’ve ever been with you.

You didn’t see it coming when Mr. Crystal back handed you, causing you to stumble backwards. You feel your heart lodging itself in your throat, gasping when you feel yourself tipping over the balcony. Events from your life flashed before your eyes all at once. You can at least say, you lived a good life and stood up for yourself to the end…

only it wasn’t the end. At the last minute, Jimmy hurriedly grabbed you but the front of your shirt and hoisted you up with both paws, a panicked expression on his face.

it’s perhaps because of the adrenaline that ran through you both, that Mr. Crystal didn’t stop you from pushing him away and rushing past him and out his office door. His security waiting by the door and his little cat assistant didn’t stop you when you rushed out, heavily panting with pure TERROR on your face. Mr. Crystal ran after you a little too late.

He tried to quickly apologize and excuse himself at the same time, but you didn’t hear a single word from him. You could only hear your heart pounding in your ears from the near death experience at the hands of the man you onced loved. You didn’t bother gracing him with acknowledgment as you took the elevator down from the top of Crystal Towed.

In the Aftermath, you did get your divorce as you wanted. Although you didn’t receive full custody of Porsha, you were able to guilt trip/ black mail your ex husband enough to allow you summer and holidays visits. Along with his company cutting ties with Jimmy’s industry, with compensation for it.

afterward, it was a matter of you and your band rebuilding your lives without Mr.Crystal breathing down your necks. And while not big and spectacular as you once were, you and your band didn’t exactly fade into obscurity but became something more of a beloved classic from a bygone era. It was time for another group to take the stage, you only hope they fair better.

imagine your surprise when not only you saw your daughter part of a major hit musical, BUT your ex husband being thrown into the slammer as well. This news caused all of you and your band to burst out laughing until tears streamed out of your eyes. You couldn’t have been happier with your life.

Summary: General Jax crushing and confessing headcanons

Nothing irritates Jax more than someone new. Sure, a new fella to add to the prank list, and yet, another re-do of the theme song. So seeing you spawn into existence, scrambling around fearfully, made him feel both amused and annoyed. Let's just say he started out with mixed feelings for you. Mind you, these are just judgements. He hasn't even met you yet. Rude, I know, but it's Jax.

Meeting you went way better than he thought! You actually didn't find him annoying? That was a change of pace for him. Of course, not like he minded. Not at all! Looks like he'll have a new sucker to prank after all.

Although Jax was amused by you, you sure weren't. Not on the second day, at least. You had been talking with him earlier that day, and he wouldn't shut up about insects. Weird, you'd think of all people to be ranting about insects, it would be Kinger. Until later that night, or at least you thought it was night, you opened your door to find spiders in your bed.

And thus, you became Jax's main target for pranking! Hooray..! Yes, you liked his company--he was actually pretty fun to be around! But, uh, you prefer your outfit to not be soaked from a water bucket by the end of the day.

You two became frenemies. Sometimes, days went by where he wouldn't prank you. Shocking, I know. Jax just didn't wanna be too harsh on you, y'know? Which is weird, because Jax doesn't go easy on folks very often.

On days where he wouldn't prank you, you would sometimes receive notes from him. It was a good spirit lifter to go to your room at the end of a long adventure and see the corniest dad joke ever written on a piece of notepaper with crayon writing, sitting there on your bedside table. And on good days, you'd even write notes back for him!

One day, Jax gets either asked or teased about how he's so fond with you, and so rude to everyone else. He either makes some dumb excuse or tries to raise suspicion on the person asking, like the asshole he is, but it gets him thinking. He doesn't like to think. He's a man of action. But you were a.. different scenario.

Before, he was this complete asshole. And that's it, really. But you did something to him, something that he had no idea what to do with. Caine's gotta be messing with his coding, right? Maybe he input feeings in his code just to be mean. But being mean was his thing! God, what have you done to him..?

You, at the time, had no idea you were stripping away all of his confidence. As far as you knew, he has just been a bit nicer recently. Which was good! Right? Right. The notes would've been obvious proof he was getting better. Well, first, he was sending more notes rather than.. bugs.. but second, the notes started getting nicer and nicer. Some were just straight up compliments. That's when you noticed something was off. Jax never complimented anyone. Though, you didn't mind some of the compliments...

It's not like Jax has never been in love. He knows he had some sort of love life when he was in the real world, but he was left with just wisps of what it actually felt like to love someone. To care for someone. Though, now, he's finally able to remember.

You noticed how his teasing significantly decreased the more you spent time with him. You kinda missed it, but you're not one to complain.

Jax, on the other hand, was on edge all the time around you. He hated that you washed away his confidence facade, he hated how soft he was around you, how vulnerable. But that smug smirk wasn't gone just yet. He had one more "prank" to pull.

Ha, he wishes it was a prank. It really wasn't. This was actually the most serious he's ever been. He stared at the crudely drawn purple heart on a piece of scratch paper, only now doubting everything he's ever done as butterflies arose in his digital stomach. Standing outside your door, he suddenly felt all the nerves coming back to him he never thought he'd have to feel again. Jax swallowed down his nerves, but still couldn't hide the flush look on his face--or the fact that his pretend-guts were being tied into a bow.

Inside the small homemade card was an admittance to something he never thought he had to admit. Something he'd rather admit in person. Instead, since every inch of his confidence was gone at this point, he confessed in horrible handwriting, written with crayola twistables.

Jax took one final breath before sliding the heart under your door.

How the Characters of Lotr Would React to a Sick S/O

Just something small to test the waters. Enjoy the headcanons!

Characters Included: Arwen, Aragorn, Eowyn, and Legolas.

TW: Mentions of sickness. It's not described in detail, but I thought I'd better mention it so nobody was unpleasantly surprised.

Arwen

When Arwen finds out that their S/O is ill, she immediately jumps into action. When I say "jump into action" I mean that she does her best to make sure that you're comfortable. She does things like fluff pillows, adjust blankets, and bring her S/O warm drinks. She does her best to make sure that you stay in bed and that you aren't working too hard or getting out of bed. To make sure that you're resting, she checks in on you often, making sure you have everything you need until you feel better.

Aragorn

Aragorn has so many underground medicinal tactics that end up making you feel better and ultimately heal you. He brings you wet towels, finds medicine, etc. He doesn't like seeing you unwell, so he tries to fix the "problem" of you being sick as quickly as possible. He's also happy to pick you up to move you from one comfortable space to another.

Eowyn

Usually, the first thing that Eowyn offers when she finds out her S/O is sickly is to make them something nourishing to eat. You usually decline, because we all know what happens when she cooks, but you appreciate the sentiment. Eowyn has a naturally strong immune system, so she's not afraid to get close to you or cuddle when you want it. If you're upset that you're not feeling good, she sits or lays beside you and provides any encouraging words that you need in the moment.

Legolas

Legolas worries a lot when his S/O gets sick. He doesn't ever want you to be in pain or uncomfortable, like, ever, so he always tries to get to the root of the problem. He encourages you to breathe fresh air if you're able to get out of bed, even if it's just to open a window because he firmly believes that the great outdoors has healing properties. He's always got a handkerchief on hand if you need one, and he's always ready to rework your schedule or even complete tasks for you if you need to take that time to rest.
