I feel like having established duos frequently team up in MCC was cute because we had a constant to rely on. And it shifts the focus to the friendship / fun times instead of being hyperfocused on team synergy and coins and strategies which ultimately predicts what performance they might have. But if you have the established duo teaming up, their fans are gonna be like “yayyy duo content :)” and they’ll be somewhat satiated no matter what place they get.
Also from a MCC perspective, having two people team up time and time again gives the vibe of “it’s just you and me against the whole word, let’s win together and we’ll try until we do it”. It’s consistent, comforting, and gives us a storyline to be invested in— a storyline that is more compelling than a solo player trying to win because woohoo power of friendship. The established duo also automatically guarantees a comfortable 2-person dynamic within the team. As much as it’s fun to see new people team up, there’s a reason why the classics work. And having a bit of both is nice— both comforting yet stepping out of the comfort zone a little :)
I’ll be completely honest I can’t stand stupid shit like censoring or outright refusing to say someone’s name because they did something unacceptable. If it’s deliberately to be disrespectful then sure, I can get with that. Except that’s not what most of this is born from and I could write a whole long thing about why I think the way the internet handles cancel culture events is problematic, but I’ll shorten it down to this: Bad people who do bad things exist and are actually fucking everywhere. You can’t avoid it or censor them out of your life like you can filter tags on the internet. If you’re going to renounce the existence of someone or something before it was recognized as being bad, you’re immature and need a reality check. That’s not me trying to call names as a petty way to state a claim, that’s fact.
if the marauders were american james and sirius would b the kind of people that would do a fake homecoming proposal that was so extravagant it took up like the whole hallway or something
we need to bring back that “tell me why your hands are cold” trend where someone color picks persons A’s lips and transitions to person B but there covered with lipstick kisses from person A’s
