D-20: Dragon
Tumblr media
Pairing: Dragon Yongguk x Royal Reader
Genre: Angst, Action
Word Count: 1.6K
Faster.
Faster.
You must be faster, but nature is set against you. Bushes and branches tear at your face and limbs. Underfoot, rocks and dips in the earth threaten to bring you down. Even your own body is ready to betray you. The muscles in your legs and lungs are on fire, but you demand more. So much depends on you.
The howls and thrashing sounds are getting closer. They are fresh whereas your energy has been spent searching for the past three days. If they catch you, it’s not only over for you, but for your family and your kingdom as well. Your world as you know it will end if you can’t find him. If you can’t convince him to help.
The ground beneath your foot gives way and sends you tumbling down the hill. Your fingernails claw and break on dirt and grass, but you can’t stop yourself. Your back slams into a tree trunk. A black darker than the night threatens to steal your vision.
Fighting the pain, you stagger to your feet using the tree and gritting your teeth against the pain. You realize you’re just outside a small meadow. The grass that  glows white in the moonlight seems to reach toward a small boulder in the clearing’s center.
As your vision clears, the boulder comes more into focus. It’s not a boulder at all, but a roughly carved. The dark stone roils with storm clouds and weaving in and out of them is a long-bodied beast. A dragon.
You found him.
Your steps stumble as you try to run. Just behind the statue is a cliff face. There.
A victorious shout breaks through the night. “There they are! Remember, capture them alive!”
Alive only long enough to return to the city to be publicly executed, you’re sure.
With your last burst of strength, you push yourself straight at the solid rock. Instead of crashing into stone, you fall through what feels through a curtain of water so cold it feels like a shock.
Your body hits the ground and rolls a few feet.
Outside the cave, you can hear incredulous shouts and other sounds of confusion, but there’s something more important. A rumble from within the cave as if the earth itself is growling a warning and the growl is growing.
Footsteps echo from within the cave approaching you, but you can’t even lift your head, much less open your eyes. You made it. You’re safe.
A surprised yell sounds from behind you, followed by “I found them!”
Ice fills your soul. No. No, it can’t end like this. Your hands blindly reach ahead, scrambling to pull yourself deeper into the cave.
A hand grabs your ankle and cruelly yanks you back. A sword rasps as it’s unsheathed.
No!
“Who enters here?” a voice deep as the ocean booms.
The hand releases you. One of the men hunting you yells, “Stay where you are! This isn’t your business.”
“You have made it my business by entering my front door. Who are you and why have you come?”
Using their distraction, you kick out, hitting bone. But it was a futile attempt, because you’re grabbed and dragged once again.
Suddenly, a man yelps and you hear a sword clatter against rocks. Similar howls and clanks follow shortly.
“Violence is forbidden here,” the deep voice says. Its owner is getting closer still. “You would think those who enter my domain would know this.”
“Please, Lord! I beg your protection,” you cry hoarsely, lifting your head. The torches cannot break far into the cave’s darkness, but you can just make out an even darker shadow rising from the depths.
“Quiet, you!” a man shouts, kicking you in the back so hard you can’t help your scream.
A loud crack splits the air and something heavy behind you crumples to the ground to the gasps and cries of those around you.
“Did I not make myself clear? I said, violence is forbidden here. If it is your only intention, leave, but leave the child.”
Immediately, people start running. Someone tries to drag you up to take you with them, but there’s another crack and you drop, their body falling on top of you.
Dust sprays your face as a foot stops in front of it. A hand, warm and rough, lifts your chin. All you can make out is a blurry face before succumbing.
---
You wake up in such luxury that you bolt up, uncomfortable. The bed beneath you is softer than a cloud and the scarlet silk blanket covering you is so smooth it seems woven from water. When you push the curtain surrounding the bed aside, you find the room is open on three sides, all of which look out over a body of water so large you can’t see the edges where they disappear in the dark. But the lake itself is lit by low-hanging stars brighter than you’ve ever seen.
When you swing your tentative feet out from the blankets and onto the floor, you discover another miracle. All the sprains and scratches and other injuries you’d endured are gone with not a single blemish left on your skin.
“You’re feeling well, I assume?”
The voice from the cave.
Your head snaps up. A man stands before you in a white robe with twisting black marks along the arms. He’s tall and slender, but something tells you he’s much stronger than he looks. Then, you meet his eyes. Beneath his curly black hair, they shine gold.
You immediately drop to the floor and bow so low your head touches the cool stone. “My Lord Dragon. Thank you for saving me.”
“You don’t need to do that.” Hands grip your elbows to pull you up, but you resist.
“Please, Lord, I need your help. Do you remember my great-grandmother? When you were still an imugi, she found you being attacked by a tiger. She drove the tiger off, then cared for you until you could leave.”
The dragon lets go and you hear the silk of his robe whisper as he sits in front of you. “I do. That was a long time ago. Does she still live?”
“No, she died many years ago.”
“Ah. I’m sorry.”
“I never knew her, but her story was passed to all of us. But Lord-”
“Please don’t call me that. I’m not a lord. My name is fine. Yongguk.”
To do so feels treasonous, but you need him. “Yong-yongguk, thank you again for saving me, but I need to ask one more thing of you.”
He makes an affirming sound.
“Does your promise to my great-grandmother still stand? That you would help her and her family in their time of need?” You finally lift your head, watching him.
There’s nothing on his face for you to read, only thoughtfulness. “Does it pertain to the men who followed and tried to take you?”
“Yes. I’m sure you knew my great-grandmother was a high noble related to the royal family. Her grandson, my father, became king. Our people are under attack and we can’t hold off the invaders forever. We are a peaceful people. I promise on my life, it will just be this once. I nor mine will ever come again. Please, lend us your power.” Your voice sounds pathetic in your own ears, but you don’t care. Your pride means nothing in the face of losing everything you love.
Yongguk stays still, scarily so, instead of answering you for a long time. Your knees, legs, and back begin to ache in protest, but you can’t move.
“How,” he slowly says at last, “can you guarantee it will only be once? I have lived for a long time, child, a very long time.”
He reaches into the folds of his robe, closes his eyes in concentration, then pulls his hand back out. In his palm rests a small globe, glowing a smoky emerald green from within. A chintamani stone, the source of dragons’ power.
Yongguk continues, his eyes on the stone. “I have seen countless well-intentioned humans whose virtue withered in the face of their greed for power. I am always grateful for your family’s kindness, but you know a dragon’s powers are next to a god’s. That could be dangerous in the hands of a human.”
“I don’t ask that you give it to us. I just ask that you come with me. After, we will not keep you. I promise, Yongguk. Please...”
His gaze drifts from the chintamani to you and you feel his eyes searching down to your very soul. The gold in his eyes looks so cold.
“Would you give up your life in exchange?” he asks.
“Yes,” you answer instantly. You grab the knife at your waist, unsheathe it, and put it against your throat.
A force yanks the knife from your hand so it skitters across the room.
“I did not mean your life’s blood,” Yongguk says. “You are ready to sacrifice everything for your people, and I can see your heart is strong, so I trust you as I trusted your ancestor.”
Your body automatically lurches forward, closer to him. “Then you’ll help us?”
“However, I cannot trust other humans. I will help, but I cannot risk others trying to assume or manipulate me. That has been done too often. If I help you, will you give me your freedom in exchange?”
You still. “You mean stay here? With you? Forever?”
He nods, rolling the chintamini stone in his palm.
You sit back on your heels, a chill shooting through your body. What a hollow victory it would be to save your family and kingdom only to never see them again. A sacrifice upon a sacrifice. You have a choice, but do you?
Looking back at Yongguk’s face, you infuse your spine with all the steel of your bloodline. “I will.”

For cc. Hi Chelle Happy New Year! At work I managed to get the xmas eve and boxing day and new years eve and new years day shifts ☹ could I possibly request a drabble with Shownu or Yongguk where the reader finishes work and doesn't feel up to their new years plans? (My first thought for which idol was Jaebeom but I always request him and you write quite a bit for Got7, really well written Got7, but I thought nope time for a change) 💙
Darn, you got the bad end of the stick on your shifts this year. I hope it's not too much effort all the same <3 You know I would write Jaebs for you any day! But I shall go with the change here too!
Pairing: Bang Yongguk x female reader

"You're not dressed yet?"
Blinking out of your daze, you glanced at your partner and smiled lazily. Yongguk's hands slipped onto your bare shoulders and rubbed them affectionately.
"Sorry, I just... got out of the shower and felt exhausted," you admitted as you smoothed a hand mindlessly over the towel still wrapped around you. It was then when you realised you were dry and must have been sitting here a whole lot longer than you thought. "Oh. Our plans."
"You've had a long day," he mused, his hands now kneading your shoulders, your neck loosening as you sighed slowly. He leaned down to kiss your forehead as you looked up at him. "We can change our plans."
"But it's New Year's Eve. We're meant to ring it in with our friends at Daehyun's house. If only I didn't have to close up at work today."
"You look like you won't even make it to midnight."
You chuckled softly. "I could lay down right now and fall asleep, actually."
"Well, why don't you? Not every year has to be loudly counted into existence."
You tilted your head to the side. "But--"
"Into bed," he ordered, and you relented, uncaring of grabbing your bedclothes, simply dropping the towel and scooting under the blankets.
It was sometime in the night when you felt Yongguk's lips on your skin, low counting happening in between each press of his mouth. When he reached one, you turned your head sleepily to break the chain of kisses on your neck, capturing his lips with yours. He smiled against you, kissing you passionately before pulling back and brushing hair away that had fallen into his eyes.
"You got to bring in the New Year, after all."
Smiling back, you placed another chaste kiss on him before cupping his face. "I think I like this better than the loud celebrations. Happy New Year, baby."

Morning Sickness
Yongguk x Reader
Short drabbles, romance, marriedlife, pregnancy
Summary: You're pregnant with Yongguk's child but he's the one who's experiencing morning sickness.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
It was Sunday. You were watching a soap opera while folding your and your husband's clothes when he suddenly appeared from the bedroom with his messy bed hair.
"Sleep in. Why did you get up so early?" You raised your left arm when he joined you on the couch. He rubbed his face on your side down to your stomach before burying his face on your thighs. He groaned but his slender fingers were caressing your knee softly.
"What's wrong, oppa?"
"I'm feeling nauseous." He turned around to face you, making your laps his pillow.
"So you come here to puke on me?" You teased, looking down at him who was looking up at you. "I'm the one who's supposed to do all the puking, Yongguk. I'm pregnant, not you."
He held your hand to his face, kissing your palm. "I'm serious. I tried to let it out but nothing came out." He shifted his attention to your clothed flat stomach, poking it lightly in wonder with his forefinger. "Baby, are you doing this to me on purpose?"
"What do you—"
"Not you. I'm talking to my baby." He smirked.
"Oh, I thought I am your baby?" You played along, running your fingers through his messy hair.
"I am sorry, baby. I have to divide my love and attention to two babies. You and our little one." He rubbed your belly under your shirt.
"I'm sorry too. I can't love you anymore. I'm in love with someone else."
"What?" He quirked his brow. No longer playful. He suddenly sat up and looked at you in disbelief. "How could you say that?" He shuffled to get off the couch, obviously sulking, so you gripped on his arm to make him sit back on the couch. The folded clothes toppled down because of his movement but you didn't mind.
"You know what I meant, right?" You placed your hand on his thigh.
"No, I don't know."
"I mean the baby." You pinched his cheek which he turned away to avoid your touch. "You can joke around like that but I can't?"
"You said you don't love me anymore. How could you say that to your husband?"
"I was joking!"
"It wasn't funny!"
"Alright, I am sorry I said that. Why are you being oversensitive— oppa! Where are you going?" He was trying to get away from you again.
"I'm craving for some mangoes. We got them in the fridge, right?" He headed toward the kitchen. You let out an amused laugh and shook your head in disbelief. Is he pregnant?
***
"Baby…"
"Hmm?" You turned around from the mirror, hand halting from combing your hair. Your eyes scanned the tall figure of your husband that was sprawled on the bed. "What is it, oppa?"
"My feet… cramping." He muttered sleepily.
You frowned, placing the comb on the vanity table before walking toward the bed and touched his ankles.
"Again? Here?" You massaged his ankles lightly as he nodded. "Oppa, I think we have to go to the hospital for a check-up. This has been going for the whole week. I am worried."
"Let's do that in an hour. Come here." He patted the space next to him. "Let's cuddle."
***
You covered your mouth but your action only managed to muffle your laughter. You were in the car with Yongguk who was driving back home and what the doctor said about his illness was rather amusing to you.
"Stop laughing. I am currently very irritated." He sent you a playful glare.
"I'm thankful that you take the morning sickness away from me." You stated, smiling. "You're a very dependable husband. I am so proud of you. But it is still funny, though."
"See how much I love you?" He winked his eyes which you reacted by slapping his arm.
"It's amazing, isn't it? This sympathetic pregnancy... Now we can proudly say we're carrying together."
"When I said I would take all the pain away from you, I mean it literally. Damn, I am such a wonderful husband."
"You're oppa. That's why I love you so much."
"I love you more than you love me and more than you love yourself."
"That's a lot."
"You deserve a lot, and all the best things."
***
"God." Yongguk groaned, hitting his own back with his fist to lessen the ache. After your water broke, he had been restless and experiencing body pain. It was expected because the doctor mentioned the possibility during the first time you and Yongguk went for a check-up.
"Oppa, you don't have to come into the labour room later." You said, also in pain and was lying on the bed in the ward. Still waiting for your opening to open to the expected size.
"You don't have to worry about me. Focus on yourself." Yongguk assured you, planting a kiss on your forehead.
"I am sorry for everything. I am sorry for burdening you."
"Shhh… I love you. I love you so much. Do you hear me?" Yongguk whispered to your ear, trying to comfort you and preventing you from overthinking. You nodded, stealing a kiss from his lips as his face was so close.
***
"Now I am kind of jealous." You commented with a light smile tugging on your lips. Yongguk was carrying your firstborn in his arms, his eyes were big as he stared at the tiny creature with affection. And he had been in that position for almost fifteen minutes without saying a word. When he finally looked up, you saw his eyes glistened with happy tears.
"Baby…"
"Which baby?"
"You." He chuckled. "She's so beautiful and tiny. Her little lips and little nose… I am so happy, baby. I am so happy. Thank you so much. Thank you for the best gift I've ever received in my life. Did I tell you I love you? Yes, I love you. And thank you. Thank you."
"We did this together, oppa. Take some credit."
"She's so pretty." His gaze was on the baby, he was acting like he was spellbound. "God, so precious. I love her so much. My heart is pounding so loud."
"I'm getting jealous for real now, oppa."

Tumblr media
“What are you doing?”
You gasped sharply, jumping almost a foot in the air when you heard the sudden voice through the darkness.
“God, you scared me!” you cried before reaching out and trying to hit Yongguk’s arm. “I’m just hungry.”
“It’s almost 1am...”
“So?!” You shot him a look which clearly said ‘don’t judge me!’
You turned back to the fridge, but then you remembered what you’d been thinking before Yongguk crashed your midnight snack party.
There was nothing to eat.
You heard Yongguk shuffling up behind you, and then you felt his arms sliding around your waist.
“Should I make you some of my famous ramen?” he murmured into your ear.
“Oh, sure,” you chuckled as you leaned back against his chest. “I said I was hungry, not desperate.”
“Hey,” he pouted. Even though you couldn’t see his lower lip sticking out, you could hear it in his voice. “It’s not that bad!”
You let go of the fridge door and turned around in his arms, snaking your own arms around his neck.
“You know I love you, right?”
“Yes,” he nodded.
“I fell in love with you even though you’re a terrible cook. There’s no need to deny it or hide it.”
“Yeah, but --”
“Wait a second,” you interrupted, your brow furrowed. “Why are you down here?”
A slightly embarrassed grin pulled at Yongguk’s lips, and he lifted his shoulders into a shy shrug. “I just... woke up and noticed you weren’t in bed.”
“Aww, that’s so sweet,” you murmured, stepping up closer to him and brushing the tip of your nose against his. “You missed me.”
“Well, of course, I did.”
You let out a little giggle before leaning in and placing a sweet kiss on his lips.
Except... that sweet kiss turned into a little more than a sweet kiss.
“Are you still hungry?” Yongguk murmured against your lips as one of his hands began to make its way underneath the hem of your t-shirt.
“Mm,” you hummed. “Why?”
“Well, we may not have any food, but...”
“But you can satisfy my hunger in a different way?” you asked with a very sly, knowing smirk.
“I mean...” The grin currently pulling at Yongguk’s plush lips was so devilish but so innocent at the same time.
And so goddamn sexy.
You grabbed his hand then, leading him out of the kitchen and giggling all the way back to your bedroom.

Morning| Yongguk
Tumblr media
Prompt no#97 “I apologise sincerely if my handsome/beautiful face has kept you awake all night.”
Some things could be impossible to have.
And one of these things is having him by your side right now. He was sleeping soundlessly like an angle. You could not process how a person could change so much by sleeping. People tend to misunderstand him for his strong gaze and stern eyes. However, once you get to know him you would know that he has the heart of a child.
Nevertheless, he was a devil who possessed your life and your heart.
Bang Yongguk, the man of many talents. He was most known for stealing girls' hearts which made you wary about him at first. Until you fall so hard with him, it was hard to stand up again.
You could not have enough of him. His sharp jaw, his pointed nose, and his well-defined eyes. Well, god must have taken his time creating him, because he was so beautiful it almost hurt. His muscles were so defined. You could not stop staring at his collarbone area, his well-toned chest.
You gulped as you remembered last night. Heat crept into your cheeks as you remembered how your hand roamed over his stiff back and ran into his fluffy hair. This man, he was all yours now.
Reaching for his tempting hair, you played with it between your index and thump so faintly so that he will not wake up, feeling how smooth it was recalling the memories you made of that night.
Out of the blue, a hand grabbed yours making you jump slightly in your place. You met his eyes and heat flushed your cheeks; anyone could mistake you for a tomato.
“H-Hey, you were awake?” You stuttered feeling embarrassed about being caught.
“You have been staring for so long.” His deep voice sent chills through your spine. His eyes roamed over your face before catching your eyes. “I apologize sincerely if my handsome face has kept you awake all night.”
You swore if you touched your cheeks you would burn yourself from how hot they felt. You needed to run away now. But before you could even take one movement away from him, he pulled you closer. You yelped in surprise as you found yourself somehow beneath him.
His body was hovering over yours, his elbow resisted by your cheeks for support as his face was so close it was torturous. His breath flaming hot against your skin.
You waited for him to close the distance, but he would not do that. Your skin tingled with craving of his touch on your body. You could not look away from his deliciously buffy lips.
“I-I am…” You murmured softly as you leaned forward to catch his lips in yours. To your surprise he pulled away, but never got up from over you, a smirk stretched so widely while he caged you between his arms.
At that moment, you wanted to hide. You probably looked so eager; it was too embarrassing.
“It’s so unfair.” You said as you hide your face in your elbow.
You gasped when he pulled your elbow away from your eyes and put it above your head. His eyes switched from teasing to wolfish.
Too intense and too dark, it sent electric waves through your whole body.
“what’s unfair?” He asked with his deep voice, too close to your ears. “Are you so eager for a second round? Something to refresh your memory about last night.”
“Stop it.” You whined as you looked at him nervously. “You like teasing so much.”
“I still didn’t do anything yet.” He breathed against your lips, before capturing them between his. You let yourself be drawn into his spell.
Losing yourself to him was the one thing you knew how to do the best. His kisses started out soft and tender as if you were made of glass and he was afraid to break you, but then those kisses turned into heated ones that left you breathless and shaky.
“Good morning, my lovely wife.” He breathed between kisses.
“Good morning, my handsome man.” You giggled as he kissed your forehead and then your nose.
“I think we will cancel our plans for today.”
“Sounds like a good plan.”

Request: Qhh!! Open requests? Well seeing as you write Yongguk better than anyone else I've read, could I please request #2 yongguk?
Prompt:
2) “Well, you certainly proved a point. I’m just not sure if it was the one that you wanted.”
Pairing: BAP Yongguk x Reader
Genre: Angst/Fluff
.
. Yongguk's POV
Pulling down on the hemline of his oversized, knit cardigan, Yongguk smiled at himself, taking in the image of his grin reflected back at him. He swiveled in front of the mirror one last time before nodding to himself.
Good.
He had never been the type to necessarily double, or in this case, triple check his outfit selections, but today felt different. There was a fall feeling in the air making him nearly giddy with the weather change. While some people experienced seasonal depression when the colder months hit, he seemed to have the opposite reaction. As soon as the first autumn breeze rustled past his hair, he was a different man.
"Who are you trying to look good for?" Jongup asked, lifting a brow.
Yongguk spun toward his friend lounging in the sitting area of their shared apartment. "Thank you for confirming how I good I look."
"That didn't answer my question," the younger man sighed, keeping from rolling his eyes.
"I guess I didn't realize that you expected an answer," Yongguk smirked.
"If you avoid the question, I'm just going to assume you're going to see Y/n," he muttered. Glancing toward Himchan, Jongup nodded in solidarity with the fellow friend who had now joined them in the small living room.
"You guys going on a date?" Himchan asked, glancing up at Yongguk as he plopped beside Jongup.
"We don't like to put labels on things," Yongguk hummed, checking his vibrating phone.
Y/N: I'm here.
Yongguk hastily tapped on his screen that he would be down in a moment before looking toward his friends again. "I'm not saying that there is anything wrong if we did want to put a label on our...friendship, but-"
"Relationship," Himchan corrected. "Call it what it is."
"He hates that word," Jongup grinned. "Commitment issues."
"I disagree," Yongguk said softly. "I am not afraid of commitment, I am-"
"He's afraid of what happens if the other person isn't as committed," Himchan finished. "Our softie would never admit it, but he's afraid of a broken heart."
"My heart will never break over some torrid liaison," Yongguk sighed. "Heartbreak is reserved for much more important things."
"I wonder how Y/n would feel about being called a torrid liaison," Jongup clucked.
"You won't have to wonder if we ask," Himchan teased.
"You won't have to ask if I kill you both," Yongguk grumbled.
"You're too sensitive to be the killing type," Himchan sighed. "Like a man afraid of heartbreak would ever get his hands dirty with a double murder."
"You'd be surprised," Yongguk hissed. "And for the second time, I'm not afraid of heartbreak."
"Then why are you so afraid to ask Y/n to be a couple?" Himchan asked. "You two have been seeing each other for months."
"Because love, much like time, is a self imposed construct that isn't real," Yongguk sighed. "it's just a word humans crafted to explain the feeling of chemicals combining in your brain when you're infatuated with someone."
"So what you're saying is, you don’t plan to fall in love with Y/n?" Jongup asked, tilting his head.
"If it were real, maybe," Yongguk chuckled. "But we're speaking in hypotheticals here."
“Hypotheticals or not,” Himchan hummed. “I think it’s silly for you not to admit that you at least have some sort of feeling toward Y/n.”
“Oh, i certainly have some sort of feelings,” Yongguk nodded. “But to say it’s love may be overstepping. Love is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It’s the universe’s way of making sure you continue to breed. i have enough chemical imbalances where serotonin levels are concerned, so why would i want to throw another type of imbalance around?”
“Love isn’t practical enough for you, is it?” Jongup chuckled. “It’s not opportune for you, so you’d rather pretend that it doesn’t exist.”
“There’s no pretending here, friend,” Yongguk chuckled, shaking his head. “If Y/n expects for me to fall head over heels in love, it may take awhile.”
.
Your POV
You shifted your weight from one foot to the other, gnawing on your lip in annoyance. He said he would be downstairs at least ten minutes ago, so what was taking him so long?
You and Yongguk had known each other for quite some time, but had just recently begun seeing each other more romantically within the past few months. While you weren’t rushing for him to express his feelings, you were interested in seeing a little more enthusiastic displays of his affection. You had hoped without hoping that tonight would be the night he asked you to become more serious, but if his tardiness was a precursor to the nights’ events, you were happy to never admit you had hoped at all.
“Screw it,” you grumbled, launching toward the steps of his apartment building. Might as well see what the hold up was.
Climbing stair after stair, you tried to calm your annoyance. It wasn’t the first time Yongguk had made you wait, and you were certain it wouldn’t be the last. Technically it could be seen as a larger metaphor for him making you wait to be an official couple, if that day were to ever come. Perhaps that’s why you were so irked. You weren’t just annoyed by his lack of punctuality today, but in general.
Reaching the landing of Yongguk’s floor, you stomped toward his apartment. Reeling back your annoyance, you knocked on the door, instantly becoming more annoyed as no one appeared to open it.
For a second, you were worried. What if he had slipped and hit his head on a counter top and was passed out on the floor? What if he had fell victim to a mounting anxiety attack and decided to lock himself in his room instead?
Feeding in to your imagination, you found your palm on the knob, and gave a gentle push. The door sprung open with little effort and you quickly slid into the entryway.
You suddenly felt incredibly foolish as you heard the laughter echoing from the living area and down the hallway. If Yongguk were hurt or upset, surely his friends wouldn’t be laughing. A heat of embarrassment began to travel up your neck as you heard Yongguk’s voice as well.
“Oh, i certainly have some sort of feelings,” You heard Yongguk insist. “But to say it’s love may be overstepping. Love is a chemical imbalance in the brain. It’s the universe’s way of making sure you continue to breed. i have enough chemical imbalances where serotonin levels are concerned, so why would i want to throw another type of imbalance around?”
Tilting your head, the heat of embarrassment quickly changed to a heated anger. What was he talking about?
“Love isn’t practical enough for you, is it?” Jongup chuckled. “It’s not opportune for you, so you’d rather pretend that it doesn’t exist.”
You felt hollow as the men’s laughter hit you like the truth you had been avoiding. In all of your hopes for Yongguk to confess, it had never occurred to you that perhaps he hadn’t loved you at all.
“There’s no pretending here, friend,” Yongguk laughed as well. “If Y/n expects for me to fall head over heels in love, it may take awhile.”
Swallowing, you felt yourself choke on your saliva. You hadn’t realized how dry your mouth had become. You also hadn’t noticed the lump of emotion struggling it’s way down your throat. As soon as the whimper escaped your lips, you regretted stepping foot into the apartment. You remained cemented in your spot, wide eyed and teary as Yongguk and Jongup’s necks strained around the corner, looking at your placement not far from the door.
“I was waiting,” you choked out, unsure of what to say. “I thought something was wrong and...”
Yongguk’s face fell as you spoke, realizing you had heard a piece of his love-scorned diatribe. Jongup’s expression slid to one of shock as he cut his eyes at his friend.
“Y/n, I-” Yongguk began, taking a hesitant step toward you.
“I’m sorry,” you whispered, attempting to hold back the tears that had been brewing for what seemed like the entirety of your courtship (or lack thereof.) “I shouldn’t have.”
Turning on your heel, you fled from the boys, not bothering to stop even when you heard Jongup’s gloomy response.
“Well, Guk, you certainly proved a point...I’m just not sure if it was the one you wanted.”
.
Your feet kept moving until they hit the concrete of the sidewalk, finally stopping long enough for you to catch your breath. It wasn’t as if he had said that he didn’t love you, or that he never would, but the indifference hurt. Sure, you were mortified to admit you had essentially broke into his apartment. And yes, it looked as if you were spying on their conversation. But mostly, your heart ached with how apathetic the man you had grown to love had spoken about his own feelings towards you.
You had full knowledge that relationships weren’t always equal. Both people involved weren’t always on the same page or had the same caliber of emotion as the other, but this came as a shock. Yongguk had shown no sign of disinterest or lack of willingness to pursue things. Tonight, he had joked about love as if it were a mythical story parents told their children about before bedtime.
It hurts when you realize you aren’t as important to someone as you thought you were.
“Y/n,” Yongguk’s husky voice called from behind you. You didn’t want to turn around, but you knew that you would anyway.
You also knew you looked incredibly sulky as you turned to face him. Tears still slid down your cheeks and you felt your eyes growing puffy. You weren’t even terribly sad, but the excess emotion seemed to spill out through your tear ducts.
“I’m sorry,” he said quietly, stepping cautiously forward. “I didn’t think you would ever hear me say anything like that.”
“Either come closer or stay away because this in between is exhausting,” you choked, hardly able to look in his direction.
Heaving a sigh, he crossed the distance between the two of you.
“I don’t just mean here,” you croaked. “But with our relationship as well.”
Glancing at him, you shook your head. “Not relationship. I don’t even know what this is anymore.”
“It’s a relationship,” Yongguk whispered, his deep voice hardly registering words at such a low tone. He felt silly correcting you after he had just used the word “friendship” himself with Himchan.
“Didn’t sound like it up there,” you muttered. “And for the record, I would like to say that I thought you slipped and hit your head on something, so I was terribly worried that you were in your apartment dying, but instead, you were just making fun of how much you didn’t love me.”
“Well, that sounds like a dramatic take on the situation,” he sighed. “But If we’re putting things on record, I wasn’t making fun of how much I don’t love you. In all actuality, I love you very much.”
You blinked for a moment, uncertain if your brain had fabricated that last sentence. “And I quote, if Y/n expects for me to fall head over heels in love, it may take awhile.”
“That didn’t sound very convincing, did it?” Yongguk winced.
“You don’t believe in love,” you whimpered. “You said it yourself.”
"Of course I believe in love," Yongguk sighed. "Even if I'm too much of a coward to admit that to my closest friends."
“So you were saying it was all an act?” you said quietly.
“I can admit freely to you,” he began, breaking eye contact. “That i have fabricated so many walls around myself, that I don’t even know how to be honest with my friends about my emotions sometimes. I don’t want to seem weak. I don’t want them to think that I’m distracted or less of who I was just because I have found myself caught up in feelings.”
“Who said it makes you weak?” you murmured.
“My own anxieties,” Yongguk nodded. “People in love are wrapped up in those they care about. They’re opening themselves up for heartbreak and hurt. It seems like love is a fool’s game and I didn’t want the people around me, who I think so highly of, to see me as a fool.”
“Then what about me?” you prodded. “Had no problem making me look like a fool in the process?”
“You have never been a fool,” Yongguk chuckled sadly. “If anything, you’ve been the brave one. You’ve been so open with how you’ve felt about me...you’ve made me realize just how silly I look even caring about the jokes my friends may have thrown my way.”
“Which they wouldn’t have, by the way,” you pouted.
“They wouldn’t,“ he nodded. “Really, I’m the only one standing in my way of being open about how I care about you.”
“And how is that exactly?”
"You make me feel things that I can't explain away,” Yongguk whispered. “Real love isn’t this spontaneous, electrifying, cartoon feeling. Real love is deliberate, it’s a choice. It’s for better or worse. It’s making you more of who you are and helping you accept what you could be. I’ve never felt more of myself than i do when I am with you, and if that’s not some inkling of love, maybe i’m a fool that doesn’t know what love is.”
You opened your mouth to speak, but could only close it again.
“Let us grow together, let us have our roots intertwined,” he said lowly, leaning down to press his forehead against yours. “Let me make up for the past five minutes with our future moments. Let me show you that I can learn.”
You chewed on your lip, unsure if you were about to cry or swoon. “Okay.”
“Okay?” he chuckled. “That’s all?”
“Anything I could possibly say after that would pale in comparison,” you murmured.
You could feel his gummy smile grow even though you couldn’t see it. His eyes were shut as his face stayed close to yours, and his hands snaked around your waist. You remained quiet, enjoying the moments of shared breaths, and just being.
“How lovely the silence of growing things,” Yongguk whispered, pulling you even closer to him. You smiled as well, taking in his scent and the pure feeling of being with him, finally on the same page. “Thank you for not walking away from the silly boy who wanted to pretend that he didn’t know what love is.”
“You knew all along,” you hummed, nuzzling your nose into his neck. “You just needed a little prompting.”

Pairing: mob boss!Yongguk x mercenary!Reader Genre: Crime AU Rating: PG-13 Summary: Your target has an offer you can't refuse. Word Count: 0.3k Warnings: talks of murder, guns present in scene
Tumblr media
To be honest, you found the whole situation funny. Your target had you captured and brought to him, eliminating the need to search for him. As if having you there on his terms could delay the outcome.
The door opened. Speak of the devil… Yongguk stepped into the room flanked by his men, each of whom had their weapons drawn with a finger on the trigger. Yongguk kept his eyes on you as he sat in a chair across from you. “I hope my men weren’t too rough.”
You grinned. “I didn’t mind. I like a little pain.”
Yongguk chuckled. “Do you now? I’ll keep that in mind. So, let’s get down to business. I need to know who hired you.”
You pressed your lips together and shook your head. “I’m sorry. I have a strict confidentiality policy for my customers. These lips are sealed.”
He huffed. “Whoever hired you knew I’d be there. That indicates someone I trust has betrayed me. I don’t tolerate traitors.”
“Sorry.” You shrugged. “Not my problem.”
He studied you for a few minutes, his intense gaze unwavering as the wheels in his mind turned. “…How much are they paying?”
Of all the things you expected to come out of that pretty mouth, that wasn’t it. “I…one million.” You couldn’t help but feel a bit smug. “An easy job now.”
He nodded and sat back in his chair. “I’ll pay you two to be my bodyguard.”
Your eyebrows rose. “Two million?”
“Yes. Until I figure out who sold me out. I’ll even give you half up front.”
Admittedly, you felt guilty for considering it. It was bad for business as customers would have trust issues. But for two million dollars? Money talks and you listen. “Deal.”

Drabble Request- 'I Married an Idiot'
Characters: You, Yongguk
Genres/ Warnings: Fluff
Word count: 321
Request: #54 & 94 with Yongguk
#54: Why’s there a pregnancy test in the trash? #94: You’re an idiot. I married an idiot.
Yongguk walked in after a long day at work to find you sitting on your bed curled up with a book. You were nearly asleep when he came over and kissed the top of your head. “Hey babe, how's it going?”
“Pretty good.” You stretched and smiled up at him. “How was work?”
“It was good. We finished a song today that we've been working on for a while.” He slipped off his shirt and walked into the bathroom to wash his face. However, something caught his eye. “Hey, why's there a pregnancy test in the trash?” He stuck his head out of the door to look at you with concern.
You squirmed and hid under the blankets. “No reason?” You could practically feel him approach the bed. He sat on the edge and looked down at you despite your blanket coverage.
“Are you feeling okay?” He asked, concern still in his tone.
You peeked out from the edge of the covers and nodded. “I.. This morning I just felt really off. And my period is late and I was freaking out and-”
Yongguk chuckled and kissed your forehead again. “I understand.” You relaxed, glad that he wasn't going to make fun of you for reacting like you did. “I mean, if you're that eager to have a baby, we could-”
“No, no, it's fine!” You interrupted, freeing your hands from the blanket and placing your hands on his chest. “That's definitely not what-”
He leaned in and kissed your lips. “I'm teasing.”
You pouted and smacked his shoulder lightly. “You're an idiot. I married an idiot.”
“But I'm your idiot.” He laughed, keeping the atmosphere light.
You smiled at him. “Well yeah, that's true.” You brought your hands up to cup his cheeks. “I love you.”
Yongguk leaned in and rested his forehead against yours, placing a kiss on your nose and lips. “I know. I love you, too.”

Bang yongguk, 18
Star by BtoB
It’s been years since Yongguk’s been back to the playground in his childhood neighborhood. Some equipment is long gone, retired in its old age, while some is still so new that the paint is free of chips. But the swing set still remains with its rubber seats and chains that magically never tangle.
As he sits on the swing, he chuckles at his own sentimentality. Who would have thought a single text would suddenly compel him hop on his scooter in the middle of the night to come here. But here he is, huddled in a thin jacket with his fingers fidgeting with a silver ring slipped from his finger.
Because Yongguk misses you.
You, his best friend from when he didn’t even know what friend meant. He can almost see you as you were then sitting on the swing beside him. Hair wildly escaping your ponytail after spirited sprints across the playground, gap toothed smile you so proudly showed him first along with the coin the tooth fairy gave you, eyes that sparkled with life and curiosity. You were always challenging him: run faster, yell louder, climb higher.
You, his first love who he let slip away. He did it for your own good, he still told himself after all those years. You were going away to university to fearlessly forge a career for yourself while he chose a different path to follow music like his heart demanded. You didn’t need to be held back by someone like him when you were pursuing your own dreams too. Even as his heart silently wept from being split in two, Yongguk kept smiling just for you as you hugged him goodbye because you were already crying about leaving him at the bus stop on your way to your first year at university. He’d keep in touch, he’d promised, as had you.
But then his career shot off in ways he could have never imagined. As much as he loved you, he was impossibly busy and those emails and calls and texts gradually faded to nothing. Yet you remained tucked away in his thoughts, a star that still brought comfort despite the distance.
Now, that star was suddenly so much closer than he thought could ever happen again. He could barely believe when your number flashed up on his phone. After all these years, he still remembered it and you by some miracle had kept it.
His mother gave you his number, you explained, You missed him. You knew it was short notice, but would he meet you?
Yongguk’s fingers trembled so that his first attempt of a reply was gibberish not even autocorrect could fix. Eventually, he succeeded and was rewarded with an instant response. Now, here he is.
“Maybe I can tell her,” Yongguk says. Looking up at the barely discernible stars, he asks them, “Should I? Do you think I’m worthy enough now?”
One star seems to wink back at him. Yongguk smiles, equally anxious and ecstatic. Who would dismiss the blessings of the heavens?

______________________
It had gone on for long enough now.
The endless hours you spent working had carried into your home life, leaving you with no downtime. And when you were technically off the clock, Yongguk would still find you working on projects for your job, noticing the perpetual fatigue upon your face.
"Stop working, baby," he told you, and you waved him off, shaking your head.
"Can't. Have to do this."
"Why do you have to? There's always tomorrow. It's late, honey. Come to bed and relax with me."
You laughed hollowly. "Relax? I don't know how to these days."
"I'm aware."
"Are you offended?" you suddenly asked, and Yongguk eyed you quietly. You groaned, tears springing to your eyes. "Sorry. I know you mean well."
"If you run on empty, you'll do more damage to yourself mentally and physically. Come on. Enough for now," he insisted, tugging you away from your home desk and into his arms.
You leaned into him immediately, as if you didn't have enough energy left to hold yourself up. Reaching for the back of your thighs, Yongguk scooped you up and carried you to the bedroom. Once nestled into bed together, he started to run light circles over your skin.
"You need to take some time off."
"I can't right now. We have-"
"Before I get a phone call that you've collapsed or something. You need to admit that life isn't fun for you anymore."
You remained silent for an immeasurable moment before the tears finally slid down your face. "I'm truly exhausted, Guk."
"I know. So, let's take some time out, hm?"
"It's not going to slow down once I go back to it."
"Maybe," he started, leaning in to kiss you softly. "But if you take some time to look after yourself, it might become easier to face when you've recharged. No life commitment is worth running on empty for, okay?"
"I love you," you whispered, and Yongguk pressed his lips to your forehead softly.
"Not as much as I love you."

Would You Be My Girlfriend?
Yongguk x Reader
Quick drabbles before I go to sleep
Don't expect much bcs I am very sleepy.
But I'm inspired to write this after I saw these photos so here you go
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You were in a bar. Jazz music was playing in the background while people were enjoying their drinks.
"Watch your hands, mister." You warned. A man who was wearing black turtleneck shirt was being all touchy with you. He had a sleek hairstyle and big gummy smile, wearing dangling earring.
"Why?" He sort of challenged you, fingers caressing your clothed thigh. "You're very pretty." He tilted his head, taking a good look at your face.
"Thank you but keep your hands to yourself." You removed his hand from you but he placed it on your back, caressing down to your lower back.
"Did I tell you that you're very pretty?"
"You just did." You rolled your eyes.
"You're beautiful. Did you know that?"
"You're annoying." You pushed his hand. He played with your long hair, sniffing them and letting out a satisfied sigh.
"You smell so sweet." He nuzzled his nose on your mane, still sniffing.
"You're being very creepy."
"Thank you."
Thank you? You almost slapped your own forehead.
"Personal space, please." You asked for some space because he was too close and your co-workers were watching.
"Do you have a boyfriend?"
"Why are you asking me that?"
"Because you're too pretty. I don't think I can go on with my life without looking at your face again."
"You're not making any sense."
"Answer me. Do you have a boyfriend?"
"No."
"Great." He kissed your cheek. "Would you be my girlfriend?"
"You're drunk."
"I really mean it. Be my girl. Hmm?" His lips trailed from your cheek to the corner of your lips. The co-workers were still watching so you quickly slapped the man on his arm.
"Ouch! Why did you do that? Are you rejecting me?" He asked while rubbing his sore arm. "I'm asking you to be my girlfriend. Why can't you be my girlfriend?" He questioned, kind of slurred his words.
"I'm your wife, you idiot."
He gasped, cupping his own mouth. Eyes wide before bursting out laughing out of pure happiness.

Drabble Game: The Couch
11 and Bang Yongguk please 💕
I would be happy to, anon! I hope you like it!
Genre: Fluff
Pairing: Yongguk x You
By Admin B
Tumblr media
“Yes, I’m still watching!” you cried as you reached for the remote on the coffee table. “Netflix! Why do you judge me for watching more than three episodes of Law and Order?!”
“They’re not judging you,” Yongguk murmured, reaching out to rest his hand on your knee. “They just want to make sure you haven’t fallen asleep or something. They don’t want you to waste energy by keeping the TV on, and they especially don’t want you to miss any episodes.”
You pursed your lips at him before pressing ‘OK’ on the remote to keep watching your favorite TV show of all time.
“I’ve seen every single episode at least four times, it won’t matter if I miss one,” you pointed out.
“But they don’t know that.”
“Yeah, Netflix doesn’t know a lot of things.”
Yongguk let out a soft, deep chuckle before he moved to push you back onto the couch, cuddling next to you. “You’re cute when you’re annoyed, have I ever told you that?”
“Maybe,” you sighed as you nestled in and got comfortable - very comfortable, actually. And then, after the opening sequence of Law and Order, you tilted your head to look up at him. “You’re sure you don’t mind being lazy with me all day?”
“Mind? Why would I mind?” Yongguk asked as he lazily played with your hair.
“Because you have about a bazillion other things you could be doing.”
“Yeah... but none of them are as important as spending time with you,” he pointed out before pressing a kiss to your forehead.
“You’re so cheesy, have I ever told you that?” you asked with a blush and a chuckle.
“Maybe,” he sighed, a smirk pulling at his lips.
You poked his side teasingly, but then you moved to place a kiss on his lips, sighing softly as your eyes fluttered closed.
If you had to pick one Happy Place in the whole entire universe... you would probably pick this. Right here, right now. On the couch, with the person you loved most, watching your favorite show ever.
Honestly, what more did you need?

Tumblr media
You watched quietly as the boys engaged in conversation. It was all business talk, with the occasional lighthearted humour mixed in. Not a single word that was spoken registered in your ears. You didn’t mind accompanying Yongguk to his lunch meetings with the rest of the members, even when you had not the slightest clue what they were talking about. You enjoyed just spending time with him, with all of them.
That, however, was not why you couldn’t seem to pay attention to them right now. Your focus was currently on... other things. More specifically, the hand of none other than Bang Yongguk, which was currently at work between your thighs, hidden from view under your skirt below the table. You looked around the table. Everyone was thankfully too invested in the discussion to take notice of your situation. That was until your eyes met a pair of sharp ones cutting into you from across the table.
Jongup.
His gaze was directly on you, the corner of his lips curling up slyly. Yongguk leaned over to whisper in your ear.
“He knows.” he said, picking up speed pumping in and out of your walls as you clenched around his fingers. Your legs trembled, your head tipping down as a warmth flooded your face. “Do you like having him watch you princess?” Yongguk chuckled darkly, only for you to hear. You briefly glanced up at Jongup, noticing the shift in his posture. He couldn’t take his gaze off you. His eyes were glazed over as he watched you steadily approach the brink of your pleasure. His breath hitched silently as he attempted to subtly adjust the growing problem in his pants. Clearing his throat, he stood to leave the table.
“Bathroom.” he announced shortly before leaving the room, glancing back for a quick second at you and Yongguk. The others waved him off nonchalantly. Yongguk’s fingers slowed down and gently pulled out of you, cutting you off before your release. He patted down your skirt before placing a kiss on your cheek.
“Go follow him babygirl. I'll join you in a minute.”
