Mariska was the one to win. You woke up in a random place scaring you, who wouldn’t be scared? “Ah she’s awake~” Mariska voice stated which caused multiple footsteps to walk over to you.

Looking up you saw five zombies towering over you causing you to try and sink down into..the floor apparently which made one of them laugh. “Shy little bitch she is.” Zed stated as he snickered before he was smacked upside his head.

“Don’t insult her! We just got her!” Lewis stated while Zed whined from the smack causing the others to roll their eyes in annoyance at Zed’s behavior. You watched in utter confusion..you had zero idea of what was happening but all you knew was you were kidnapped.

“Such insolence.” Mariska muttered as she sat beside you and forced you to rest your head on her chest, causing you to blush due to the close proximity. You weren’t even sure how to react or respond, you were never good with people but zombie overlords? This was worse!

“Can’t we just, I dunno, keep talking to her until she talks?” Joey suggested as he shrugged, his voice sounded like auto tune to you but you didn’t know if you should make that comment out loud so you just stayed silent. “That would take too damn long.” Vikke stated as he huffed, soon an argument started over how to get you to talk.

You just watched while feeling flustered, you were never used to speaking but it seemed like you’d have to..why did this have to happen to you!?

Ahem per the results of this poll, I offer you: Zed

He's an N-Z, which I consider to be an offshoot/subspecies of Dark Matter. His nickname comes from the mechanical visor on his head that always displays the digit zero. I don't consider this a "finished" design yet (I might like to update his outfit, especially), but this is where Zed stands now!

More drawings (including some featuring his bestie Tarantillda!) under the cut! :)

Tillda met Zed during a botched attempt to "infiltrate" his workplace (the details of which I'm working out and that we won't get into here lol). He was pretty cool about it.

There's a non-Zero percent chance that his eyes are literally black holes. His personality can be unnerving. And some rumors say his civilian employment is a coverup for the spoils of his REAL job as an evil mind-controlling Dark Matter clan member. But he's always willing to go along with Tillda's schemes, and that means he's A-okay! (N-Z-okay?)

Turns out, Tillda feels incomplete without having someone around to mentor. She might want to work through that in a professional setting; in the meantime, Zed seems happy enough to absorb her lectures. (Funnily, Tillda assumes she is older than Zed, but who knows if she's right.)

In this particular post, I use "he/him" pronouns for Zed, but Zed can also be referred to with "they/them" and "it/its."

His "tail" (and the rest of his body) is kinda like oobleck; it's usually solid, but he can change its shape at will. He uses his tail for leverage, self-defense, and general appendage-ness, much like Gooey uses his tongue.

When Zed wears his visor, the zero moves and dilates like a regular eye. (Structurally, it's a simplified version of Dark Matter Swordsman's mechanical visor.) Zed keeps his visor in position with a strap. I imagine he likes to wear the visor over his eyes most of the time, but he isn't embarrassed to be seen without it.

When designing Zed, I really wanted his appearance to "give Kirby." I wanted people to be able to look at him and say, "Hm. He looks like a little Kirby dude. A little fella you'd find walking around in Gamble Galaxy." You may let me know if I succeeded or not lol.

Kayn, Rhaast, and Loss (and Chainsaw Man for some reason)

WARNING!! The following rambling contains heavy spoilers for Part 1 of Chainsaw Man

Additionally the following contains the insane headcanons of a deranged man who likes Runeterra just a bit too much so if everyone is OOC thats just how it is

Kayn is such an interesting character to me beyond how he is presented in League. From his prime appearance, he doesn't really have much going on beyond "edgy scythe shadow ninja". Base Kayn is a very tropey character, but it's done to his advantage.

What really makes him interesting to me, is the existence of Rhaast, and moreso the implications of what Rhaast's presence could mean from a narrative standpoint. We don't know how Kayn is able to withstand the darkin when no other mortal seemingly can. Is it because of his strength? Is Rhaast weaker than other darkins?

Or is it because Kayn has nothing to lose?

An interesting take on the character in my mind is that Rhaast is fueled by emotional instability. Kayn's withstood Rhaast's assault for years because his willpower is so strong... and he's at his strongest because there is nothing that can shake that.

Kayn is an orphan, an abandoned child soldier, he has no ties to the world around him. He craves power, and when he finds it, he does nothing but relish in that strength. The only person that he could possible feel affection for... is Zed.

And perhaps that is why I imagine Zed acting so cold to him. He would care, of course. Why else would the leader of the Order of Shadows rescue a child from a battlefield, raise and train him. He must care.

But as soon as Kayn touched that scythe Zed's coldness changed. He is no longer just unable to express his affectionate emotions due to the way he is, he is now actively acting colder and more harsh towards Kayn to protect him from the creature lurking in his mind.

And now is when I switch up to talking about Chainsaw Man for ZERO reason.

Chainsaw Man Part 1 is my second favourite manga of all time, and one of my favourite stories of all time. I could go on for hours about everything I love about it, but here I just want to focus in on one thing.

Denji, Makima, and Family.

When we meet Denji at the start of the story, he has nothing. He has no family, he has no money, no food. The only thing he does have is Pochita, and soon enough the devil becomes a part of him, so you could even say he doesn't even have that anymore.

That is the state in which Makima finds him, and that is the state where Denji is at both his weakest... and his strongest.

No matter what anyone could do to him, it wouldn't change anything. He's already at rock bottom, if someone were to kill him he might even see it as a blessing.

So what does Makima do?

She gives him a life. She gives him food, a job, a purpose... She tempts him with the chance of everything he's ever desired, and she reinforces his will to live.

She gives him Power, and Aki. The family that he's never had, the love that he's always craved.

Before the Gun Devil incident happens, Denji is at his strongest... and his weakest.

Because now he has something to lose.

And Makima strips that away from him.

Denji has to kill Aki, and after that, he comes to her. And what does Makima do?

She kills Power right in front of him. She removes the last piece of Denji's new family, his new life, right before his eyes.

Everything that he had, that newfound will to live, it's now gone. And when Denji is reduced to nothing, that is when Chainsaw Man returns.

That was one hell of a tangent, but it does loop back around to my main point, I promise.

Kayn has nothing to lose, emotionally. He lives for the fight, for the power that he feels from the Darkin. Through his base skin blue form voice lines, we see that although he still feels remorse upon Zed's death ("It did not have to end this way, Zed."), he still does not view Zed's loss as a tragedy. Zed is not his father, Zed is his equal now.

So that's why the most interesting narrative to me is:

What if Kayn had someone to fight for?

That's why I love writing Kayn alongside someone, be it romance or found family- If he has a tie to the world, a real connection to another living being, the love that he was denied his entire childhood... Then what happens when that's stripped away?

What happens when the cold facade of his mind cracks? When the thirst for power becomes an anguished cry of sorrow?

That's when Rhaast has already won.

Whispering into Kayn's mind, "It was your fault, they died because of you. This is what happens when anyone gets close to you, this is why you are unworthy of love."

The moment that Kayn falters, the demon in his head has everything that he needs to take control. If Kayn is capable of compassion, then he is capable of despair.

And when his willpower is gone, there is nothing to stop the Darkin.

Trouble With a Capital Z

It was late at night. Most workers in the port were gone for the night. The Zero Fleet, or Zed Stacks as they were commonly known, often did their most lucrative business at ungodly hours. This was one such night. Their newest recruit, Zinnia, had completed her task of passing on information to Zero. Now that her business was done and her purse was full with Zero's generous payment, Zinnia took the opportunity to enjoy the night air.

Zorran stepped out onto the dock, standing beside the young woman as she lit a cigarette, smoke curling into the night air. "Zero's real pleased with your work." he said.

"I know." Came the rich tone of her voice.

"Not one to feign modesty, are you?"

"What's the point? I know my worth. And it seems the Captain does as well." Zinnia said with a sly smile.

"You sure have a way with words. I'm impressed." Zorran admitted. It was rare for him to say such a thing to someone else.

"It's pretty easy if you're a woman of my caliber. I've been playing this game for years. Men hardly change. Get a few drinks with them, turn on the charm, play dumb, and they'll tell you just about anything if you play your cards right." Zinnia said with a sly grin. "You'd be surprised with what I've gotten away with." she chuckled to herself.

"I doubt it." Zorran said.

"Well," Zinnia took a long drag on her cigarette. "I once convinced a man I was an Italian princess."

"You did not." Zorran scoffed.

"But I did."

"Who'd mistake someone like you for a princess?" he asked with a smirk.

"What is that supposed to mean?" Zinnia narrowed her eyes.

"You don't have that charm and innocence they're supposed to have." Zorran said. "Anyway, how'd you convince him?"

"Well he was following me around, trying to get my attention. I wanted nothing to do with this bastard. But sure enough, he won't leave me alone. He comes up and starts talking about himself and I'm already bored. So he asks me who I am and I tell him I'm a princess from Italy, getting away from the royal life and spending a day in the city. Apparently sarcasm was not in his vocabulary. He bought it immediately. So naturally I start playing it up, just for fun. He offers to show me around the city and I decide to keep at it. I'd say he's a halfwit, but a halfwit looks smart in comparison to a guy like that."

"Did he ever catch on?" Zorran asked.

"Not at all." Zinnia shook her head. "Eventually I got tired of it and slipped away while he wasn't paying attention. I'm sure he still brags about the evening he spent with a 'princess'."

"Tch, men are idiots." Zorran rolled his eyes.

"A few have surprised me, I'll begrudgingly admit. You happen to be one of those few. Not many can see through me." Zinnia crossed her arms over her chest.

"Let's just say I have some experience with people like you." Zorran said. "I've learned your tricks a long time ago."

"Oh really?" Zinnia raised an eyebrow. Zorran didn't elaborate, leaving things at that.

I just.. had a hilarious thought: The tugs dealing with a super oblivious person.

From the person's perspective, free scritches for everyone! They love the tugs so much that there's zero fear present. From the tugs' perspective? Some of them would definitely freak out. Warrior. Like- why are you here?? Not all of us are friendly! Just stay here in my sight and- WHERE'D YOU GO?! And that person is halfway to petting Zak or some other more dangerous tug.

Bonus if the more dangerous tugs don't take this person as an easy meal cause of the lack of fear/charm doing its magic on them. Just nothing but pure hilarity.

Okay, but that is actually pretty funny. You know.. imma write a drabble. Fic under the cut.

The harbor tug watches you with uncertainty as he tries to explain the dangers of the port to you. Warrior has become a bit mother hen around you, worrying that you might get snatched up by a Zed-Stack or at the very least, seriously injured.

"Not all of us are like me, y'know. Some are a bit more, er, aggressive, than others, as some harbor workers say it. Just stay in my sight an-" Warrior says as he looks down at you, only to see you're gone. Worry turns to panic as he sees you on Zak's deck, gently scratching just under his wheel house, prompting a rough sounding purr from the fearsome Zed-Stack.

Zak is a little puzzled about you, considering you have no fear of him whatsoever. However, he isn't complaining, as evident by his faint smile and rough purrs as he feels you give him some much needed scritches. He looks at Warrior at the corner for his eye, who seems to be on the verge on panic seeing you on Zak's deck. However, Zak has no intentions has harming you in any shape or form. Seems your lack of fear has made him take a liking to you. He could get used to this kind of treatment. He hopes your planning on staying here, as he knows you'd be eager to meet the others.

Besides, nothing wrong with being a little soft now and then, right?

here have a teaser of this Nest scene I was writing, I really like it and I will be posting it without context

It was there. A black diamond bare against the sky, entwining triplet suns in an army of reaching tentacle hands. Still, silent.

Though the rope was tied firmly from his waist to the Broken Sword, Zed felt like he was falling. It was the way his jetpack propelled him a little faster than usual towards it - the quiet tug of its gravity, its presence. The way that the widening gap in space beckoned to him.

Dead silence in his Exosuit. Broken, suddenly, by a sharp crackling: October's voice, clambering over interference.

"Two hundred units to go. You can switch on your scanners now."

He raised his hand to the device around his neck, glove burned in perfect colour by the unfiltered sunlight. A loud, prolonged beep, and a small screen appeared in the corner of his vision. External Biosigns: >1%.

"Remember. If it gets over forty, start running." The interference had cleared, and the Traveller's voice rang cold. "One hundred units. Prepare for landing."

Disabling his jetpack, Zed turned his body in midair, letting the gathered momentum take him the rest of the way. He activated the magnetic boots preliminarily, feet outstretched towards the station's hull. The rope strained a little.

"Fifty units. Get ready to detach. Make sure your area is clear."

Zed felt for the clasp where the rope was buckled to his belt. It wasn't quite long enough, and the frigate couldn't move for fear of disturbing whatever was on that station, so he'd have to go the last thirty units on his own. His fingers brushed the release, waiting for the perfect moment.

"...three...two...one...detach."

He unbuckled the rope as fast as he could; the clasp sped past his head, returning to the red-sailed ship hovering above them.

There was a moment of vertigo, of spinning stars, of not knowing which way he was suddenly being pulled, faster, to the abyss...

The resonance of hard and hollow metal jolted through his legs as he made contact, his boots fastening themselves to the hull. A rebound, torso stretched, then gravity released him.

"Nice. Watch Lucien on your left."

The hull vibrated as the Korvax made their landing. Vacuum rendered the tremors inaudible.

"Okay, straight ahead of you there should be a breach where you can get in. Be careful - we don't know how bad things are down there."

The pair looked at each other, Zed taking the first few steps. He winced at the vibrations they created - how much could the plants detect?

It was like an empty eye socket - a hole punctured in a missing panel, metal fragments and wires sticking out as if some sort of attachment had been ripped from it. Zed stood on the edge, avoiding the very-much-still-sharp edges and straining to perceive something in that lake of shadow.

In his peripheral, Lucien was switching on their night vision. Synthesised directly from their carapace, the voice cut loud and clear into the silence.

"Can't see much, but it doesn't look blocked up. I'll go first-"

"No way!" interjected Zed. "I'm not letting you be first to get hurt. Besides, those things can sense you a lot easier than me. I'm going."

"Yeah, Zed's right," October added. "And it'd be easier for you to get him out of there than the other way round. Now, Zed, if you could just lean over a little more, I'll scan for any threats."

Zed obliged; as he leaned over the void, he felt Lucien's metal hand on his shoulder. They were worried, and that was never a good sign.

The scanner around his neck beeped. "Okay, so it opens into some sort of service hallway. I'm seeing a few tentacle clusters up the walls, but nothing deadly. Zed, you're clear. I wouldn't touch the sides or the roof - get Lucien to lower you down. Oh, and no torch. Night vision only."

He grabbed both Lucien's hands as the magnets deactivated and his body re-entered zero gravity. As his vision faded into grainy green, they gently lowered him into the blackness of the hole.

A new voice in his ears. Some remnant receiver, some automated message that had not turned off.

"Now entering R - kzzt - Ryauros Station. Welcome - kzzt - home."

A: I wonder what Tillda's favorite flower is? Forget-me-not? Ha ha ha. ...But seriously, I put 'em in there.

White lilies are the national flower of Italy. Supposedly, chrysanthemums represent mourning there?

Mimosas are said to represent women.

I just added lilacs because of her color scheme.

Common understandings of flower symbolism seem kinda shaky and varied at best, except for the REALLY popular ones (roses for love, etc.), so I didn't take the "deeper meanings" here too seriously.

A: Well... I wonder how she'd become "Tillda Soul" in the first place. In the Kirby series, "soul forms" usually come about because of plot-defining magic shenanigans (messing with ancient artifacts, toying with destructive power, etc.), which Tillda tends not to involve herself in. But I could see her flying to close too the sun for the sake of Zed or her brother. For fun, I've drawn up what a "Tillda Soul" might look like.

I don't think Tillda's soul form would be "beyond saving" by any means. She's brash, but she's squishy on the inside. Hugs melt her.

Let's see: Tillda is stubborn, and if anything, trying to fight her would push her further away from the light, so to fix things, we'd better just give her a glass of warm milk and put her to bed. Hope you feel better in the morning, Tillda!

I would pick a bento box because it seems like something Zed would take to work :) And fish is one of their favorite things to eat. Made a few sketches but nothing big.

(Yeah while brainstorming/researching this one I found out that, as a species, cats really like melon? And scientists think it's because melons give off a scent similar to something in meat that cats like?? Who discovered this and why??? I guess all those videos of cats utterly destroying watermelon weren't flukes... Zed is 70% honeydew confirmed)

Zed is kind of inherently "magic" since they're made of Dark Matter, but they don't have any flashy spell-casting abilities a la Magolor or Taranza (or Tillda herself, to a lesser extent). Maybe Zed would be a decent magic user if they practiced, but they've never really cared to.

Their shape-shifting abilities mean flying is easy enough.

Their visor is hand-made and probably has some magic properties. I won't reveal its name or why Zed wears it (partly because "spoilers!" but mostly because I still need some time to work it out lmao), but it does come in handy often and is capable of more than meets the eye. (Or the zero, I guess. Hardy-har.)

Status update on Project REDACTED

Dr. Redacted Name and research assistant Redacted Name are inbound for processing and debrief

Field research to begin tomorrow, escorted by Lt. Nicholas Shy and Commander Cody Neff of Alpha Squad.

This test will be contained to the SouthWest quadrant, focusing on sectors Regans and Landis with additional staging north near the Med and Psych wings. Overflow likely, take precautions.

Safe bases may be found in Strozier for easy access.

Weapons will be equipped with stun feature for capture of specimens for later studying.

Progress Report

This test is to view the infection rate and gauge against expected transmission levels found in animal studies. This small scale will likely include less than 30 volunteers initially, including support from newly formed Alpha Squad. Commander Neff and Lt. Shy are highly capable leaders, recruited from Military Branch.. Volunteers have been informed this is a training mission for new recruits and part of a required psychological evaluation for teamwork. There are a few candidates that should they complete this mission may be considered for additional reconnaissance squads, though their temperament is less than ideal. Additionally, we have begun identifying subjects who may be perfect specimens to host the virus rather than succumb to it. These subjects are of similar athletic but lithe build, scored high in intelligence, deception, and creative thinking testing, and appear to work well in a unit, alone on orders, alone on own, and some even in lower level leadership positions. Dr. Redacted Name and Redacted Nameha have begun meeting these candidates and Redacted Name has been seen striking friendships with many of them due to her nature. 

OZ has had their first injection tonight under guise of vaccine and we await reaction and progress. The initial strain of H1Z1 appears to provide zero symptoms other than cannibalistic appetite in Patients Zero in prior testing. This particular strain does require those infected by OZ and others to continue to consume to abate full decomposition. Additional testing required. 

Volunteers to be told outbreak was accidental.

Status update on Project REDACTED

Incident Report

At 14:23, the following incident was reported. Redacted Name was escorted by recruit Redacted Name on her way back to the lab and was ambushed by Subject 011888. He cornered them from outside the building, blocking the main exit with view of other exits and was able to run to them with increased speed. Recruit Name attempted to create a distraction to allow Redacted an escape route but was knocked down as Subject 011888 appeared to have been tracking Redacted ’s whereabouts. Redacted attempted to fire tranq darts at Subject 011888, but her gun jammed. Building defenses were breached as Subject 011888 pulled her from the building and attacked, landing a bite on the right side of her neck. Bite does not appear to have broken skin. No sign of infection transmission at this time. No additional witnesses have come forward. Recruit  Name also appears to not have been infected and was last seen seeking out Dr. Redacted Name at his residence. 

Note: Subject 011888 appears to have lower to no decomposition rate; was in group of initial top candidates upon recruitment. DNA and blood testing requested.

Incident Report Follow-Up

Redacted Name continues to show no sign of infection symptoms, blood test analysis of if she has become a silent carrier and/or an increase of phagocytes/B lymphocytes/T lymphocytes and/or evidence of antibodies will be conducted. She has been seen getting closer to sites of Zed activity, including Subject 011888. Unclear who is tracking whom in this case. She did appear to attempt to encourage Dr. Redacted  to head to a location to pick her up near Zed activity; Subject 011888 was seen leaving a hiding place when Dr Redacted left. Redacted left on her own without incident. Objective of meeting unclear. Motives of Subject 011888 unclear, but appeared to keep other Zeds away from clearing and Redacted.  

She has taken a special interest in researching the pack tactics and cooperation, though in loose groups of the Zed population. She has noticed a surprising lack of groupthink that often appears in similar human populations that tends to lead to downfall of groups due to fear of isolation due to dissenting opinions, lack of individuality, and echo chambers. For this reason, she believes that for those that keep their cognitive abilities, they may be able to work cohesively as a unit for a common goal under leadership while also being able to work independently for best outcomes without direct supervision and still complete the main objectives.

The test was highly successful, though decomposition rate was more rapid than expected, resulting in weaker and less "socially” connected Zeds to die off. Pack mentality formed among individuals who already had a connection once turned, though they could be seen working together, but looser than expected. Soldiers also were seen banding together when in dire situations, but were just as likely to look out for themselves. Survivors are to be informed that rate of infection was more rapid than expected and situation is a lost cause, requiring evacuation and area cleansing.

DNA and blood samples have been taken from both Subjects and all survivors to check for silent carriers, resistances, and potential infections via non-bite transmission. Does not appear to be airborne, waterborne, foodborne, or sexually transmitted at this time. 

Lures will be placed to contain undesired Zed population once key subjects have been captured and transported for additional research. Upon evacuation initiation, detonation countdown will begin remotely to allow proper timeline.

Incident Report

22:09 - Remote detonation attempt failed. Alpha Squad member Sean Redacted sacrificed his life to manually detonate. Blast was more powerful than expected and shockwave hit the helicopter carrying Alpha Squad leaders Commander Cody Neff and Lt. Nicholas Shy evacuating Dr. Redacted Name and his assistant Redacted Name. Commander Neff and Lt. Shy were knocked out and fell to the ground. No efforts will be held for extraction or (more likely) recovery. Redacted Name was injured in this incident.

Results from remote viewing of surviving surveillance cameras show area cleanse of remaining Zed population successful. Additional hazmat cleansing will take place in the following weeks to prepare for return to research in 6 months time for a non-biologic training simulation for new recruits.

Post-Mission Plans

Dr. Redacted Name will continue research at remote lab with small scale samples to begin work on vaccine and/or cure in case of accidental transmission or the need to reverse a subject or attempt to slow progress. Separate research will be conducted on genetic engineering of strains to reduce rate of decomposition and ravenous hunger to attempt to retain original cognitive/physical abilities and potentially enhance as key subjects have already shown ability increases contrary to expectations. 

Redacted Name will be taken for a medical and psychiatric evaluation following the two incidents she was involved in. She is showing the early signs of PTSD and needs to enter a recovery program if she is expected to return to research in October. Dr. Redacted Name has made it clear he refuses to continue research without her as his assistant as she is the only one he trusts and is his main confidant in both work and personal life. We must comply with his wishes if Project REDACTEd is to continue. Due to their connection, it is highly likely REDACTED will be willing to return against her better judgment. She would do anything to help him as long as her trust remains intact, including risking her personal safety. Unclear on if she’s willing to risk ethics/morals, but may only take a small well-timed carefully planned push from him to do so. 

Note: Their relationship and cooperation is paramount to the success of this Project. Without them, research will slow dramatically at best.

~ First of all, he’s THE SWEETEST

~ He’ll give you all the love and affection a zombie can give, inclouding writing songs for you (they’ll be in zombie, so Eliza and Zed will translate it for you- and it made you hug him as tight as you can)

~ Now... Height gap. Bonzo is very tall, as we all know, so I think there will be a height gap between you. But he doesn’t laugh at you for it or joking around about how short you are- he just helps you reach the thing you want from the highest shelf and lean forearf to kiss you.

~ Speaking of kisses, I think he’s not really the kind of guy to show affection in public. He will hug you and stuff, but he won’t kiss your lips in public; I feel like he’ll want all your kisses to be meaningful and private, so every each one of them will be special- to both of you.

~ You immediately become best friends with Eliza, who keeps telling Bonzo that you’re amazing, and joking about how she might still you from him.

~ You trust each other with your eyes closed. Honestly, theres zero jealousy, overprotecting or possessiveness between you two, because you both know it’ll make everything so much harder.

~ He asked you out by etching your face on one side of an apple and “I ❤︎ Y\N” on the other (like he did to Bree), and of course you said yes.

~ He shows you all his instruments and play songs for you- songs that he wrote by himself, by the way.

~ You join him by singing some lyrics that come to your mind or playing one of his instruments too.  When you do that, he smiles at you, 100% admiring his amazing spouse. You can’t halp smiling back, and then you two are jsut messing around with lyrics and music.

Appearance: A harbor tug in the Zed-Stack. Bears the number 6 on her smoke stack. Has striking bronze eyes, chiseled yet elegant features, jet black hair just barely visible beneath her hat.

Rider: Michael

Likes: Helping with raising the pups, spending time with her mates, night moseys, listening to

her Rider sing, star gazing, spending time with her son, watching storms from the safety of the

cave, going out on patrol, the thrill of battle, and participating in raids.

Dislikes: Anyone threatening the pups or Riders, having her time with Michael interrupted (especially if he’s singing to her), being unable to join a fight or raid, the pups rough housing in the nursery, her mates being threatened or injured, unable to go out on patrol with the others.

Personality: A Zed-Stack with zero tolerance for nonsense but a heart of gold. She’s extremely protective of the pups, her mates, the Riders and even the Riders’ children. She’s known to be a fiercely protective mother, attacking anyone who gets too close if they’re not acquainted with her. Despite her ferocity, she’s incredibly gentle and a loving mate and mother. Dangerous, but one of the most loyal friends and protectors one can ask for.

Bio: She was previously privately owned until she had grown too large and they could no longer afford for her. She had taken up shelter just outside the port where she met Hercules and Zebedee. They became close friends. Over time their friendship turned into something so much more. After a few months, she became pregnant with Hercules’ pup and time was of the essence to help her find a safe place where she could have her pup.

Zebedee relayed the information to Zorran, who had gone out to see her if she was trustworthy, after his approval, Zebedee convinced Captain Zero to take her in, which Zero agreed, as long as she worked for him. Zanthia received a warm welcome from the Zeds. She was quick to take Zip and Wildmask under her wing.

A few months later, she had given birth to her firstborn son, Titan, who would later become bonded with Dusk. She eventually met Michael, who became her Rider. As she grew to know the Zeds and their code, she acquired a reputation and found enjoyment in joining battles and raids.
