I finished VLR and started ZTD and I have many thoughts but i also have a single piece of insanely spoiler art coz i was chatting about characters after its done and domesticity and love

Anyway what if Kyle goes with Tenmyouji and Quark (because, sure Akane and Dr Kilm love him but it's a love with expectations and theres baggage there but Tenmyouji is kinda his grandpa too and theyre living in the world post Radical-6 so why not experience something new) and is just this beefy scrapper with them and then, coz Quark is his cousin and Tenmyouji is taking care of him, they make him a respirator that looks like his mask coz I HC that Kyle has some like...mad disassociative issues with his actual face (it's not his, not really, and he misses the pressure of the armor even if he doesn't need the weight) anyway uh...all that backstory for this image.

Does anyone ever think about Akane and Kyle. He loved her like a mother and fantasizes about her being his actual biological mother, but as soon as it's revealed that she was going to die on purpose for the AB project, he decides to commit murder-suicide. And he fails, of course, but he still tried. And did she ever love him the same way? Was he a son to her, or just a part of the AB project? He's a suit of armor for her to put on, an amnesiac personality to make herself into. Kyle is just Sigma's spare, not even made to be a real person. He loves Akane to death and she probably loved him, but not enough to stop turning him into what he had to be for the AB project to continue

my piece for @morphogenzine. i wanted to explore feelings of isolation, the relationship between physical space and memory, and how they play a part in Kyle's life. growing up in the same rooms in the same building all his life and feeling alone, that all being changed one day by the happiness of spending time with people he loves, and how those memories can then make those same rooms feel emptier than they ever were before once that happiness is gone

Made a tier list of Sigma's children based on how much he likes them

gripping my head in distress i am so so crazy about dr klim and kyle because sigma did everything for him and he couldn't show it. he loved him so much and he couldn't show it. what must have been hundreds upon hundreds of hours to mold living flesh, to create a son from nothing, breathe life into a double until he was alive in his own right. a suit so intricate, tailored perfectly to his body, that would have to grow and grow with him, so he wouldn't wind up weak. so he wouldn't wind up like diana. and things he didn't even see—books he could only hope he'd love and mooncake in the pantry and video games so he'd have just that little bit of fun, at least, all alone. sigma who is good with kids, sweet to quark, gentle, kind to sean, sigma who couldn't be the same way for his own kin, all because of a recollection that wasn't his, the memory of a dream, seeing his own face staring back at him. kyle the little boy who never saw his father and looked at him and said, i wish you weren't so lonely, and sigma who could do nothing but hide away to realize a vision that should not have been his, quiet and blue.
