...there's always an odd characters on blanks to do at every convention. I kinda get a request of having daredevil on hulk cover which is I never really had any idea why and how but that what's makes the concepts more interesting. you kinda end in a shot were daredevil attacked the reader with a huge hulk shouting and kinda transform in the bg. and I think that would always challenge any illustrator to come up with odd ideas from the clients. but still I remember my partner said, client is a king. find ways, come up with something that both side of the table will be happy of the result. First of all please excuse my hand writing, my hand is extra shaky today 😃 This is a comparison of Zig brush writer & Pentel brush pen. As you can see the main difference is the tip, the Zig one is smaller (but not necessarily finer when you write it) and the Pentel is larger. Both have good ink flows as long as you squeeze the ink out but the Zig one has more ink that is coming out. The ink difference between the two is that the Zig has a darker black ink while the Pentel one is slightly lighter but I do think that this will depend on what paper you used, in the sample above I used the Rhodia pad just for reference. I have used the Pentel one on different paper and it emits a darker black ink. The ink barrel is quite different too, the Zig one has softer easy to squeeze while the Pentel has a little bit stiffer one and you really need to apply a tiny little bit force to squeeze out the ink. The tips, now this is tricky. Even if the Zig has smaller tip, when you write it, you can't produce a really sophisticated thin line unlike the Pentel one I can really have very thin lines depending on the hand pressure. I guess it has to do with the tension that the Pentel gives even if the tip is bigger it has more tension so you can really produce very thin lines up to the very broad one also maybe the ink flow has got to do with it since the Zig one emits ink more so maybe that's the reason why I can't produce delicate lines with it or maybe also because it has longer bristles and more tapered than the Zig one. Overall, I both enjoy these pens.
