i live no where near new york city but i am so invested in this election holy shit. i’ve been telling everyone who will listen about it, i’ve read articles, i’m checking polls but not trusting them because i never do, i’m doing so much research into someone who wouldn’t even be my mayor because it feels more significant than that. idk, i’m very invested.

Every so often, something happens to cut through the fog. Wish I could have been here with these folks celebrating. Even if the road is still long, even if we lose, we can’t refuse to hope. Turns out even I can’t be so cynical. That’s what they want, they want us to refuse hope so that it’s even easier for them to crush us. Celebrate our victories out of spite if nothing else.
