This is a super fun idea omg thank you! I’m still going to go with the whole owner/pet angle since this is Asa, I hope that’s ok! It will still be domestic but with the dynamic too💗

Asa doesn’t have much time to cook regularly, constantly caught between lecturing at the local uni about a twenty minute drive away and keeping up with his collection at the hotel.

On days when Asa has free time or is just determined to get something nutritious in his stomach he dusts off his recipe book he bought on a whim on discount and gets to work.

Asa likes to think he has a pretty good repertoire of kitchen skills, not exactly a five star chef but better than most men his age.

He prefers to centre either meat or fish in his meals, usually covered in a flavourful marinade or rubbed down in herbs and spices. Asa enjoys vegetables to be steamed as opposed to boiled, he thinks it makes them taste sweeter and softer, texture is important to him. Flavoured rice is always a good side.

He’s more fond of sweets than you think he would be judging from his standoffish appearance. Dessert is a must, Asa tells himself it’s all part of a balanced diet and he can’t skip it because it wouldn’t be right. In reality he just really wants the apple pie, enjoying the tartness of it and unable to deny himself this simple pleasure.

And then there’s you. Asa has always been one to care for his pets to the best of his ability, keeping their meals on a schedule. Even if he’s short on time meals will be prepared a day or two prior and put in the freezer. He’s stubborn when it comes to making the meals balanced, often erring on the side of health obsessed when it comes to his pets, like a dad telling you to finish your vegetables before you can have dessert. He’s not too bothered if he has to throw a microwave meal on and eat that when he comes home late but he always likes to make sure you have something good for you available. This doesn’t mean he doesn’t bring home takeout sometimes, he loves how excited you get at the junk food and the way you flop down on his lap afterwards, letting him rub your tummy as you try to stop feeling bloated.

Dinner is made as you watch from the floor on your dog bed, head resting on your folded arms, watching your master fondly but also a little impatient and hungry. Occasionally Asa humours you and wears the frilly apron you begged him to order under the guise of you wearing it, only to present it to him with puppy eyes at dinner that night. He’s a strict and sadistic owner but he can be a total dork.

“Dinners ready. Come”. Asa snaps his fingers and points to the three metal bowls on the floor near to the dining table, one bowl next to his seat. The two large German Shepard’s ears perk at this and they scamper over, sitting at Asa’s heals, tails wagging. He looks at you expectantly as you crawl over and join the dogs at his feet.

The two metal bowls are filled with a measured amount of dog kibble and wet food, water on the side. The two dogs eye the bowls twitchily. He raises his hand, all fingers laid flat for the dogs to see. “Wait” the dogs sit sternly in front of their master using all their restraint to not dig in until given permission. “Go ahead” he chuckles and the dogs immediately dig in, he pats over their heads with an affectionate smile and moves back to the granite counter, filling the final metal bowl with a healthy mix of seasoned vegetables, rice and finally chopped bites of beef, all in a Korean sauce. He plates the same onto his dish and takes it to the table, sliding onto the wooden chair and groaning at the relief it takes off his weary joints.

Asa places the final bowl on the floor next to his chair and click his fingers again, pointing to the bowl. “Come” without question you crawl over to the bowl, eyes switching between the delicious food in front of you and your master, waiting for permission. Wearing a smug and smitten look back at you he finally clicks again. “Go ahead, pet” he chuckles lowly as you start to eat from the bowl, used to using only your mouth as your utensil at this point. He leans forward and tucks a strand of hair behind your ear that was falling into the sauce. “Messy pup”

ABOUT

Marcus Vale became a feared smuggler on The Station over 20 years ago, infamous for his ruthlessness, violence and ambition to dominate the underground trade. He abandoned his daughter, Clara, when she was young in order for him to climb the ranks of the smuggling world. Marcus gained a loyal following in this time, building a network of operatives who admired his cunning and tenacity.

However, after flying too close to the sun, Marcus's operations were discovered but he evaded capture. Instead, he became a ghost of a man, working silently in the shadows of The Station. He knew in order to remain anonymous, he'd have to think smarter and be more ruthless than ever.

He began taking in street kids, or people with little to no prospects and, while he helped them, he had ulterior motives to gain their trust and loyalty. The people he's helped over the years now work for him in some capacity. This guise of helping others earned him the title of The Shepard.

Marcus, however, still wanted total control of the smuggling operations in the entirety of The Station. Instead of operating under a single identity, he established Zaid as the name of his smuggling operation.

In this network, multiple operatives assume the title of "Zaid," allowing for anonymity and reducing the risk of exposure. Each operative handles various smuggling activities, such as drug trafficking, weapon distribution, or information exchange, while reporting to trusted lieutenants.

Marcus himself, now more a ghost than a man, oversees the entire operation, referred to only as The Shepherd by his closest confidants. His attachment to the operation is vague and secretive, even some of those who work for him are unaware of his true involvement, believing he is just a messenger.

Marcus operates in the shadows, relying on encrypted communications and trusted lieutenants to ensure his plans unfold without revealing his presence.

CONNECTION IDEAS:

Different Zaid's for different areas of the smuggling operation. These will be people that do not know Marcus or 'The Shepard'. They'll never have direct dealings with him, even though they work for him. They would operate independently and lead their own section of the smuggling operation. Adopting the title Zaid would have been appealing to them as it allowed them access to resources, protection and anonymity. (you have to be okay with them being killable characters. Can also do plots of them being killed, someone new taking their place)

Trusted confidants and lieutenants. These people will only know Marcus as 'The Shepard' and nothing else. They're unaware that when they report to him, that they are reporting to the controlling figure of the Zaid organization. People believe someone named 'Ghost' is responsible but they never meet him and instead believe Marcus filters messages to and from Ghost instead. (also okay with them being killable)

People with information, or just general shit Marcus will want. Such as the chip Emory has or even stuff Xavier gets his hands on, it could tie into Marcus wanting it or needing it and can get messy. So yeah anything along those lines can get involved.

Obviously people unraveling or getting closer to who Marcus really is. This will be fun and can expand into a bigger and longer plot. Marcus is killable for this reason, and Jakob and Felix reserve the right to slaughter him but the fun will be figuring out how they figure it out.

MORE INFO:

Marcus has no fixed abode and it's unclear what level of the station he lives on. He can be found anywhere.

In order to meet with The Shepard, there are several channels of communication first and if he shows up, then it means it got to him. If he doesn't, then it means he was either unable to meet, uninterested or the message never reached him.

Even people closest to The Shepard will have a hard time pinning him down, he doesn't follow any schedule and he doesn't make plans. He will show up on his own accord.

Alright allow me to overanalyze on Asa Emory’s character, if you don’t mind... 

THE COLLECTOR AND HIS DOGS

Basically this is just me nerding out over dogs and the life of having working dogs also the connection Asa might have to them, so don’t mind me. Now if you do not know I am a person who owns 3 dogs myself, is a big dog lover, have worked with many many different types and characters of dogs, and also follow different sports and clubs with dogs involved. So from experience and research this is where I get this info I'm gonna share ;) hope you enjoy my ted talk🔪💕

In the first movie The Collector Asa has a German Shepard chained up outside the home, using it as a first of many strings in protection. Later on in the movie you get a better look at the dog and what it can do; searching and wanting to lock onto a target, any target. Now this is different from protection work and leads more into a German dog sport called schutzhund. This sport is the ability to test just how good your working dog is at working, it is based from protection work, to tracking, to obedience, to bite. 

This training style is very severe in some cases, and this is what the police use for their training more often than not. It takes a very particular person to have dogs in this sport, even if it is just for fun. And we all know just how particular Asa is lol. 

Now who is the type of person to put their dogs into this? A very interesting one. First of all, anyone who is really into this work will hand pick the type of dog they want, from breed to working lines (meaning how well the dogs parents did in competition, as well as how the breeder is with other dogs). Now you can choose as well where you get these dogs from, could be from Europe to America doesn’t matter, it is up to the soon to be owners choice. Either way these dogs are expensive and need heavy hours set into them to achieve the level of training Asa has his dogs working on, and even more so in the second movie by working together. These people often have a huge thing with power and control, which we already know from Asa, but also they usually need/have extreme self-discipline wanting to be perfect in every aspect, could be a dogs position next to you if they aren’t as close that gets you fucked up because they could not defend you properly. Everything needs to be flawless. 

With all this work, self-discipline and control it can be extremely rewarding, especially for Asa in this case to see someone get their face ripped off, it is in his sadistic nature. Even having the dogs presence is often enough to intimidate anyone, in a lot of police work situations people will flee or hide somewhere if they know it is just a single officer, but once the dog gets brought in people more than likely surrender, fast and easy. If anyone of Asa’s collection pieces chooses to run or hide, the dogs can sniff out where they go, they can out run people and will bite, at least without the dogs people could have a chance. Another good thing about dogs is that they alert, if Asa is working and the dogs bark he will know exactly where that person is easily. 

So to overview what I just rambled about before getting into the next topic, Asa is a very control oriented person, needing to have power over something and be very strategic in doing so. Getting off on the intimidation and fear factor of his victims, and even more so when people get bit. These dogs are also for his own protection, caring about himself and his beautiful collection first, and maybe even caring for the double life he leads more. It also can make Asa’s life easier, not having to always make the kill himself, and this leads me to believe that it isn’t really the kill that gets him off, it is the chase, the skill he has taken and the victims skill of getting away that drives him. Almost uses the dogs in more annoyance just because people aren’t dying and getting in his way or messing with his stuff. I mentioned skill a sentence back and I want to bring it up again because I think it’s important; Asa can appreciate the skill of his victims, it makes it more thrilling but also I think he has a deep appreciation for his dogs skills, being extremely hard working and intelligent creatures, like himself and some victims. Now with the thing about Asa taking his favorites, he is trying to find the right one, the perfect one, making more sense for him to have dogs, Asa can mold his perfect dog, using only working dogs, dogs that love to please and want to be perfect for you.            

Now moving on to the next topic - Connections. So this could go two ways, a good way and a bad, no in between. The majority of people grow extreme bonds with their dogs, especially their working dogs, all the hours you put into the training and you have to trust your dog and they have to trust you. In the military specifically dogs build one of the strongest connections with the soldiers, they are their comfort because they see the same things and yet still have a wagging tail, they can save each others lives, protect one another and appreciate each other deeply for skill and for love. Now there are other people, most common in police work because the dogs can sometimes be too intense or have certain contracts but, these people don’t take their dogs home or when they are home they stay in one room or kennel mostly. Sometimes there are dogs that just can’t adapt to home life and just want to work, but sometimes they can make wonderful family and house dogs. At the same time it is up to the owner choosing what they want for the dog. 

Something strikes me with Asa that he genuinely loves his dogs but at the same time some of his actions make me think twice. In the first movie the dog is chained up away from the dangerous traps of the inside, he is protecting the dog at first, but moving along in the movie he releases the dog into the home going after Arkin. Now this is the dogs job mind you, so Asa trusts him, but also you can see a lot of traps or dangers have been removed so the dog can work safely and knows the dog is smart enough to avoid some of the obvious traps. He lets him work but also wants to help the dog, perhaps not wanting the dog to get seriously hurt or maybe just finally finishing Arkin off. Also the scene where Asa is outside and calls off the dog when he is biting a guy, again maybe for safety of the pet maybe just to watch the man struggle. Ultimately the dog dies in the first one, but Asa watches very carefully when the dog is going after Arkin, and there is almost a ‘sadness’ or maybe curiosity to Asa’s face, and I think he knows in that moment his dog is sadly dead. 

In The Collection you don’t see the dogs really work that much, you only see them barking at Abby then barging in the room with Asa, so it is hard to really see any connections. From both movies I would say Asa takes the dogs with him for the most part, takes them to ‘jobs’ and brings them to the hotel. Now at the hotel it is important to notice the dogs do not have free range or else we would see them probably a lot more. My best guess is that Asa cares for the dogs and doesn’t want them getting hurt by his traps until he knows who the people are, that’s when he loses it, literally going in all guns a blazing. When he does bring the dogs out they are only with him, aka his control and protection side coming out. Now in this scene Asa has an assault rifle that he uses in tandem with the dogs, but I noticed carefully watching the scene, Asa never shoots towards the dogs, he lets them work, again trusting them deeply, if he did shoot around not caring for them the bullets would have defiantly hit Arkin and wounded him or killed him. Of course after this scene we don’t really get to see Asa in any sort of grief, (which I really wanted lol) he is just busy trying to kill everyone else and not get caught by the cops. 

Then in the final scene of The Collection we see Asa’s home, this is like months after the events at the hotel from what I can tell, but we see no dogs, not a trace. Simply he maybe could not have gotten anymore dogs since his collection was destroyed and he doesn’t really need dogs to protect his stuff any longer, or maybe Asa did not find new dogs that he wanted yet, or just maybe they were locked in the house away in a room, keeping his house spotless. Who knows it is all up to the person watching, I don’t think they expected a dog crazy person to be diving this deep lol.

So my final thoughts. I personally think Asa really likes his dogs and they bring him good company and something to have power over in his regular life. Once you have a dog, especially dogs that take so much work and training time it is very hard for people to just stop having dogs. Also being a biologist I think he can deeply appreciate them for their intelligence and skill. If anyone says Asa would like cats you can fuck off because look what happened to the cat in the first movie, it was clumsy and got itself killed, plus look at his house, not a thing knocked over lol, a cat would never do for him. Brahms would be so attracted to you, the first time he lays eyes on your sweet self. Are you an angel sent from heaven to take care of him? You’re making his mourning days so full of rays of sunshine.

It’s pretty hard with your PTSD tough because Brahms has the habit of throwing angry fits and tantrums all over the place when things don’t go his way.

You will have to sit with him and explain things to him about your disorder. Of course, he doesn’t understand the first time and until things settle down it will be a while, but when he sees you all panicking and shaking in a corner he feels sad, so he tried to work with you.

The Collector/Asa Emory

You’re so innocent and sweet, he doesn’t know if he should put you far away from him or kidnap you for good. You’re so tempting and even when he’s his usually grumpy self he doesn’t understand how you can be so understanding with him.

He doesn’t have PSTD, but he does have from time to time nightmares that wake him in the middle of the night all sweaty and gasping. His father fuck’t him up good.

It’s a good thing he likes the quietness and calmness, so you will be right at peach at his house with his German Shepards.

He doesn’t bring you to his hotel where his collection is. It’s bad enough with your PTSD, he doesn’t need you to not be able to sleep.

Chromeskull/Jesse Cromeans

He adores you the first time he sees you; so small, so cute and so so easy to pick up and kidnap. You are perfect for him, especially in those days when he gets a little down because of his face, you always know what to say and he loves you kissing his scarred cheeks.

It’s a good thing he is a...quiet man, so you don’t have to worry too much of loud noises. When he isn’t away on ���business’ trips he is always there to comfort you, pulling you in his arms and petting your head.

Loves to take you shopping and dress you up. He cannot help it! You look like a good, with that cute dimple smile on your face.

Bo Sinclair

It’s like total chemistry the first time you two meet and Bo isn’t one to deny a cute little angel such as yourself. He tried to impress you with that gentleman like facade, kissing your hand, winking your way. The classic.

He has some PTSD himself, especially after his childhood so he knows what it feels like, so he will try to control his anger outbursts when you’re around, only for you.

You are probably the only ray of real sunshine in Ambrose Town and not only Bo likes your presence. Vincent and Lester love you. Of course, they know not to cross boundaries, but they love that there is someone who can make Bo less...destructive.

When you do get panicked, he just hugs you, whispering sweet nothings in your ear. He doesn’t want to see you suffer.

listen, i genuinely like echo most of the time, she’s not my favorite character but i definitely don’t hate her but girl needs to get her shit together

you can see in some of my other thoughts for this season i understood some of her actions because i Get her trauma and why she behaves certain ways

and while i Get why she did what she did this episode, that doesn’t justify it

everyone in this show has been traumatized and abused and is generally fucked up, but at some point they’ve all been held accountable for what they’ve done (clarke and octavia especially, i feel like sometimes bellamy is held Less accountable but whatever)

i've said before that echo and bellamy’s relationship is Not Good, and not because i ship bellarke but because its just Not Good and you can see that in this episode as echo has a fundamental misunderstanding of what bellamy would want and who he is

i really think echo should be held accountable next episode because this shit was Not Okay

also speaking of echo that “emotional” talk between her and raven? i didn’t feel a Thing

like i know i’m Supposed to be emotional about it but i just Wasn’t

i don’t see them as “sisters” because we didn’t Fucking see them on the ring together

last season there really should been one episode following spacekru (like there was one whole episode for clarke and one for the bunker) because not Only is it hard to understand becho, but relationships like raven and echo just Don’t make sense

also because i cannot remember the last time i’ve seen them interact on the ground, like even without seeing spacekru i can see the love between emori and raven but i just Cannot see it with echo

Bellamy Died Because You Shot Him In The Heart Over A Book...Facts.

Right away I can’t take this episode seriously. How does it make sense that everyone is finding it so easy to forgive Clarke. The most out of character of all is Octavia and Echos scene with her. Clarke says she tried everything she could to stop Bellamy and that was clearly a lie. If by trying everything she means shooting him in the heart than yeah I guess. So they take her word at face value and immediately begin to vilify Bellamy, a man they both claim to love. How does it make sense that Echo was all for avenging his death a few days ago when it was anyone else and not cold blood murder, but now she’s like no big deal Girlfriend, I understand he had changed. I’m just gonna say it. It really doesn’t seem like Becho was that deep after all. Then Octavia...I can’t even began to process what was happening with her mindset. How can she just disregard her brother like that. This is the same brother who has done nothing but protect her since she was a child by hiding in the floorboards of their home. The only explanation is a certain showrunner wanted to erase Bellamy as quickly as possible and the only way to do that was by complete character assassination. However, the irony is it wasn’t of Bellamy, it was of literally everyone else because they were all so cold to his death. Also, I have said before and this is just more proof that this is not my Clarke. This Clarke wanting to stay on Earth is very selfish. I can understand she hasn’t gotton to personally know anyone on Sanctum, like the others have, but she should be open to what they have to say. This eisode was ridiculous and the Cherry on top was Gabriel getting the proper send off from everyone that Bellamy should have gotton. As far as the next episode it was misery on top of more misery. Hearing Clarke justify her reasoning for killing Bellamy as him believing in the Shepard’s crap was just plain crap. I was trying to listen to our wise Jordan because you know he comes from a wise man and was basically sayng what Bellamy was trying to tell everyone and she didn’t even want to let the boy talk. Then Watching Murphy fight to save Emori was heartbreaking and I swear if Clarke had been there she would have chosen to let her die and jumped to save Madi. I’m glad that choice didn’t have to be made and I hope that Emori doesn’t die after all of that. Watching Madi become a human vegetable was also equally heartbreaking and not to mention how demented it was that Clarke was going to shoot her too. I know it was to put her out of misery, but what happen to taking A breath and thinking about things. That’s why the head and the heart work well together. Without each other things move way to fast and their is no emotional thought process. All and all the episodes were painful to watch and I’m glad it’s over, but I’m ready to cross the fo finish line with everyone. Let’s all hope something good comes out of this trash pile. The only thing I can see at this point that would make any sense at all is a total reset and to be honest, I find that to be a bit of a cop out. We shall see. Oh and Bellamy Blake Deserved Better.

Okay, let's have a look if I can get my thoughts organized about the series final of The 100 (SPOILERS!).

First of all, I loved this series. I love the fact, that you hardly had any black and white, there were mostly morally grey characters, choices, beliefs, etc. The characters had to make difficult decisions, and they made them the best way they knew, from everything they have learned, seen, experienced, they made their decisions based on that. Where I can add already the first point.

Clarke shooting Bellamy over a drawing book, then leaving the book anyway, which made her murder completely senseless? Shoot him in the leg and drag him with you, it wouldn't have been that difficult?! But I try not to rage over that, it is of no use anyway (Bellamy is not dead, you can fight me over that).

Second point, this strange phenomenon where you cannot shoot the main villain until the story allows you to is just plain ass lazy writing. Just look at all the stuff happening with Sheidheda and The Shepard. Okay, the second one was most of the time protected or had hostages, but Indra killing Sheidheda in the end, and not already waaaay earlier, even though she had already so many opportunities to do so? He should have died already way sooner, it would have been so much more logical. And The Shepard also had quite an unspecular end.

Next point, this whole thing with transcendence. Soo, the human race dies either way? Either frozen in stone by Gem9 or frozen in light as part of a mental collective? And about this mental collective, why is it now praised, but some seasons ago it was the worst thing that could happen, with CALLIE and her City of Light? The evolution of the human race should not have been, die or stop existing in a way that made you human.

In the last battle, the people did not lay down their weapons because it was the right thing to do and because they all had a change of hearts and fighting is not what they do anymore. They stopped because they knew about their test. The disciples saw the others putting down their weapons on Indra's order, and they had no reason to shoot anymore. I mean, evolution is not about, okay, today I follow the orders of the good ones, it is about changing of hearts, changing of minds. As long as there are people who are willing to fight and kill, to inflict pain to revenge their own, there will be no evolution. The whole point of this, Transcendence, in this season is just utter bullshit.

At least they had a choice in the end, they could return, but you really cannot tell me that the beach family in the end were the only humans who decided to come back.

AND WHY ON EARTH DID PICASSO NOT TRANSCEND? SHE WAS THE PUREST OF THEM ALL!!! (Sorry, not sorry).

Let us look at "Lexa", or Light!Lexa. The thing is, this judges, as they called themselves, take the form of the person you loved most, the one who reminds you of your greatest regret, but also the one you have learned the most from. Light!Lexa was all of these things for Clarke, so I thought it was a nice feature to bring her back for that. It is the same with Light!Abby for Raven.

And now something quite pleasant; My boy Murphy. One of the characters who had an amazing character arc, and who was able to keep this arc until the very end. Same with Octavia, who, I hope, will finally be happy and be able to let go of the past.

Okay, bottom line, like so many series or general finals lately (GoT, Avengers, The Magicians), The 100 is just one more on the list of so god damn amazing series, but with bad ending. Just because it is the end, it does not mean that you have to rush it? There is no shame in giving people proper, realistic happy endings, with all the chaos in the real world we actually need it.

For me, Bellamy did not die, the Human Race did neither transcend nor got exterminated, they just got more time. I mean, for gods sake, they have at least 4 different, more or less habitual planets to share, it can't be that difficult to avoid conflict and war, and actually get the chance of evolution. Since Emori and Murphy are not fighting in his head, they manage some sort of coexistence which works, just leaves him with headache sometimes. As I said, Bellamy is not dead, but the thing with him and Clarke is, why do so many people forget Echo? She is his actual girlfriend after all, and she is also still alive? If you really wanna hate her, then you could change hers and Emoris position, with Emori still alive and Echo dead, impaled by an iron bar. There, now she's gone and Bellarke could work. But that would be quite unfair to Echo, still. Anyway, that is a completely different topic anyway, so I'm gonna stop now.
