Prologue: She Built the System While We Weren’t Looking
🗎 INTERNAL TRANSCRIPT — CONFIDENTIAL
Nastily Exhausting Wizarding Test Examination Authority Date: June 14, 1994 Location: MACUSA, New York – East Wing Staff Lounge Subject: Post-Examination Review – Candidate #632-N94: Jiah Moonjang Classified Internal Discussion – Not for External Release
Senior Examiner #1 (SE1): (flipping through parchment) “Fifteen. Outstandings. All fifteen.” (leans back in chair) “Tell me this isn’t a misprint.”
Senior Examiner #2 (SE2): (glancing over shoulder) “No misprint. Cross-verified with all subject examiners. Magical Theory, Magical Law, Alchemy, Runes, Arithmancy... even Divination. Everything came back O. She didn’t just pass—she mastered.”
SE3 (Runes Specialist): “I corrected her Runes practical myself. She submitted a dual-translation enchantment matrix that adapted mid-casting depending on whether the runes were derived from Elder Futhark or Tyrrhic Spiral. No student should even know how to do that at sixteen.”
SE1: “She’s the Animagus too, isn’t she?”
SE2: “White tiger. Registered in early 1993. Completed her transformation and control training under an independent Animagus supervisor—not school-certified, mind you.”
SE3: (raising an eyebrow) “And don’t forget her Potion Master certification from January. That wasn’t even part of her NEWTs evaluation. She passed outside the system before we could grade her within it.”
SE1: “This makes Ilvermorny’s 1990 Gold Laureates look like middle-year apprentices.”
SE2: “There’s precision in her work, yes—but it’s the restraint that gets me. She doesn’t overperform. She solves what needs solving, elegantly. She answered the Magical Ethics essay prompt with a case study I hadn’t seen cited since 1842. Proper citations, modern framing, and a concluding argument that—I kid you not—made two of our senior readers cry.”
SE3: “She enchanted her own study guides. Did you hear that?”
SE1: “Oh, we all heard that. The ones that auto-adjust based on the reader’s magical rhythm and attention span? Yes. We saw them. Cuéllar included one in her recommendation packet for the ICW.”
SE2: “They’re already being piloted in three different school systems. Ilvermorny’s lower houses are adapting them for remedial programs. The Pacific Pedagogical Alliance wants to commission her to redesign their entire entry-year curriculum.”
SE3: (lowering voice) “Is it just me, or does this feel like something bigger? I’ve seen prodigies before, but she’s not chasing power, or fame—she’s building systems. Quietly. Efficiently.”
SE1: (nodding slowly) “She’s an architect. Of learning. Of structure. Of calm.”
SE2: “I don’t know what she plans next, but I wouldn’t be surprised if we’re working under her within a decade.”
SE3: “If she even wants the spotlight. Everything she does points away from herself.”
SE1: (after a long pause) “Fifteen Outstandings. A Potion Mastery. Animagus registration. Study guides already reshaping pedagogical magic. And she’s still sixteen.” (quietly) “Well then. Looks like we’ve just witnessed the emergence of a legend.”

He smiled softly, his hands moving to gently rest on her hips as he gazed down at his flustered little angel. Oh. He was quite aware of the effect that his words would have. He was aware of the way in which colour would rush to her cheeks, the manner in which the tip of her ears seemed to redden, the manner her body gave a small shiver as emotions crashed through her small form. Even after everything they had been through, even when they could stand there and think about all that they had overcome to be together like this, here she was all flustered. She was so cute and he rather enjoyed watching the manner in which heat rushed to the surface of her skin. Oh. He was doing this on purpose and he was sure that she knew this too - but that didn’t mean he was going to stop anytime soon. They were out in the garden, watching the stars, alone and quite vulnerable. Saeyoung smiled as he wrapped his arms around her and gently tugged her closer to his chest, feeling the manner in which her heart was racing inside her chest. Never would he tire of being able to have this effect on this girl before him. Mary was his. Mary would forever be his Angel and he would protect her with his life. But that didn’t mean she was free from his teasing nature. Oh, no. They were both as bad as one another when it came to displays of love - just Saeyoung had the tendency of taking things a little too far at times, which might be seen as happening right there and then as he’d lowed his head into the crook of her neck, teeth latching onto skin gently before a soft sucking motion would be felt, a purple mark slowly beginning to form in response to the nibbling and sucking motions that he performed on her slightly heated skin.

His head was thumping in a manner that was different from anything he’d experienced before and as he lifted up the younger twin to gently bounce hin his arms and try to somehow make her fall asleep, he felt as though e might be going a little crazy. Why were they still crying? What had they done wrong? He knew he was going to fail at this. He’d warned them all, had told Jaehee and yet here he was. A father to two children who seemed to be wishing to drive their parents insane. The words had slipped out before he’d thought them over - maybe due to the fact he felt like he hadn’t slept for weeks now. His logical side knew it wasn’t fair on Jaehee to make such a statement but he was too exhausted to really care. “It’s not you. It’s me. I can’t do something...colic...did I make the bottles wrong? Did I make them sick? Did I-” He glanced up as there was a knock at the door, Vanderwood poking his head into the bedroom and giving the two tired parents a small smile. “Needing any help?”

Saeyoung had wondered only slightly inside the living area but he knew that he wouldn’t go too much further. He was slightly still paranoid. Scared in case he turned around and found Saeran gone, that this was all some type of dream that clouded over his mind, trying to trick him into believing that he had saved his brother. But this all hurt too much to be a dream, right? Even the worst of nightmares paled in comparison to how his chest ached each time that his brother snapped and pushed him away with his words.  But he really had no right to complain. After everything that Saeran had been forced to go through because of a decision that he had made... all this was his fault and as such he needed to somehow find the strength to shoulder all that blame. It was no use trying to place the blame on Rika or V. V was gone and Rika was far from here. He sighed and took off his glasses, rubbing at his eyes with his palms only to glance up as he heard Saeran. Hyung - that word cut through his self-doubts and made him turn to face his younger brother, placing his glasses back on slowly as he listened to what he was saying. “When did I ever say that you were no good?”, he sighed and walked over to close the gap between them, lightly wrapping his arms around his brother’s shoulders, light enough so he could pull away whenever he wished, “You’re my world, my treasure. Of course, I want you to be alive. I love you. Please at least believe those words”. He knew it was a lot to ask for but he hoped that his brother would be able to feel just how much meaning was carried in such words.

Well That Hurt
49. Gun shot wound in stomach/lower torso.
Never before had she experienced pain quite like this. A short cry had been given out as the sunlight had reflected against something that just seemed off. She’d been out with Saeran for the majority of the day now, wishing for him just to have a bit more freedom than Saeyoung seemed to grant at times. Ella understood his worry but she felt that it was needed for Saeran to slowly begin to adapt to the outside world a little more - But what a mistake that had turned out to be. It’‘d all happened in an instant and before she really could take notice of what she’d done - Ella had shoved Saeran roughly to the ground before crying out in pain as a bullet riped into the lower half of her torso, the blond falling to her knees as she gripped onto the wound and fought to just breath. All around them was screaming but all she could do was attempt to focus long enough to make sure that the younger Choi brother was unhurt. Tears were freely falling through as the adrenaline rush began to fade and pain just made her entire body shake, her hands soon covered in her own blood, causing her to break out into a panic even more. “S-saeran….”. And here she was trying to be all brave but all that was going through her mind there and then was how much she didn’t want to die. @mint-eyye

Random bnha hcs as i rewatch and show my brother se1
Izuku has a hand print scar on his shoulder from all the times Kachan used his quirk passive aggressively.
Kachan has a recurring nightmare where he's suffocating and he doesn't know why. When he wakes up he just curls into a ball, whimpering "I thought I was better."
If you think about, Izuku and Kirashima are opposites. Izuku's body moved without thought. Kirashima's froze and all he could do was think.
People don't realize it but Bakugou and Deku release their frustration the same. The only difference is that Bakugou's goes out as it comes in and Deku's builds up until he's on a roof screaming his heart out.
I love the hc that Aizawa expels kids to protect them.
Iida, Iida you idiot. Get off your high horse. Hc that Iida doesn't know what having a friendship is like until UA. He's always put physical health first (for the sake of his education), education second, social status third and so on. When he encounters Stain he's confused cause no one his age had ever sacrificed anything for him.
Transmasc Kiri putting concealer over his scars when he starts UA. Mina is pretty much the only student that knows so sometimes Kiri stays behind in the locker room and Mina covers for him.
Every time Mina interrupts Aoyama he gets one step closer to slapping her.
Outside of uniform, Iida primarily wears shorts cause his quirk burned all his existing pants.
If Kaminari sees even the slightest chance that his quirk will hurt his friends then he will not use it.
Tsu's little ribbits are stims.
Bakugou has anxiety (panic disorder). His panic attacks got really bad for about a month and he wasn't able to hide them from his parents anymore. He thought it was something wrong with him but his parents assured him it wasn't. He took medication for most of middleschool but convinced his parents to let him get off of it for UA.
We're on se2 now so I'll start a new post.

Fruits Basket Reboot: Analytical  Overview of the Anime
Fruits Basket’s reboot is one of most successful anime reboots since it has:
Amazing story that celebrates human weakness, digs into the depths of human identity & doesn’t shy away from depicting child trauma & abuse. Teaches the values of letting go & walking forward.
The author’s blessing, nostalgia factor from loyal fanbase.
Fixed scheduled 3 season comeback with 63 eps in total planned from the very beginning.
Finished source material with its ending approved by manga fans.
Anime follows the official manga ending.
The “slice of life/shojo” genre doesn’t need budget for fight scenes or big scale realistic animation for its lore.
All these factors contributed to its success, however, this doesn't mean the anime was a masterpiece. It is very good but had issues aren’t in the writing, but rather in the format, overall vision & its effect on characters’ depths.
1. Format:
a. ( Is Fruits Basket an episodic anime or a plot-driving story?)
-The anime couldn’t decide how to adapt the manga content, should it follow it literally & combine two chapters together each time, or take the core plot & drive it by character, or focus on its vision or what? they KNOW that can’t adapt everything. They have 63 eps in total so they have good number of eps to do any choice. However, since the anime is advertised as “ a faithful adaptation” they wanted to cement this announcement in se01 & chose “character of the day” format. Once, the manga fans are assured & hooked, they can drive the rest wherever.
-Se02 was slightly less episodic (minus the beach arc which had perfect pacing). Afterwards, the yuki content was approached similarly to se1 but centered around “ episodic themes”.  Lots of characters arcs are pushed to se3 to keep the “mother” theme of se2. that’s why all eps ended happily minus few eps such as tohru’s nightmare ending in isuzu’s ep.
-Se03 is where the anime really had the biggest issues & couldn’t decided between keeping themes or rolling like a true well-written drama-infused story. Thus we see them trying to keep the episodic themes as long as possible in 5 eps & once ep 6 starts & they can no longer label a flowing plot into themes, they rolled into the climax. The entirety of tohru’s neglected issues outside of her role as a mother was condensed in one ep via audio narration, since ep 7 should drive akito into the climax spot, ep 8 is kyo’s & ep 9 is female antagonist vs female protagonist clash. The rest of the eps focus around wrapping the growth arcs of kyo, akito, yuki & tohru.
I wish they kept the episodic forma for se01 only. Se01 is episodic by design since you can’t maneuver around character introduction, but they should’ve let season 2 & 3 flow smoothly without imposing episodic themes that a junior high schooler could detect, simply because the theme will choose which character fits this ep & which must be cut. Hardly a smart decision for a drama-focused story. Example: Se02 post-beach arc, being “mother tohru” themed meant the cut content of any “teenage girl tohru content”, focusing only on her role as a mother & shoving the rest of “tohru” into the unbelievably packed se03.
b. ( How the seasons are divided & which one is best?)
Lots of fans believed that: se1 (kyo focus), se2 (yuki focus), se3 (tohru focus), I don’t think this is the correct official anime format at all, but rather the fans wishful thinking, here’s why:
se01 isn’t kyo’s focus at all.  Kyo has ONE focused ep each season: se01:ep24, se3: ep9, & se03: ep8. He gets more screen time in se03 to deal with the aftermath of ep8 & to mark his growth & close his arc. But, yuki had more focused eps in se01 than kyo. Example, se01, ep 12, yuki tells the audience abt his dream of new friends, home & new self, sth he achieved gradually ever since that ep ended, thus, Kisa’s ep is a yuki centered ep as well as it marked the beginning of (a) “mother tohru” issues, (b) him deciding to join student council & get out of his comfort zone which is the beginning of “ new yuki”.
se2 is indeed a yuki centered season.
se03 is not a tohru’s focus at all, we still had (akito, shigure, kyo, kureno, momiji, isuzi, haru, machi, motoko, & more yuki) to start or finish their arcs & it is 13 eps only. tho, Tohru had a self-focused role at last which is good.
-I believe the following format better describes the anime’s seasons’ division since it is driven by themes:
se01: Life teachings for the youngsters, due to the direct format of advise given by mother kyoko thro her daughter to the characters/ audience.
se02: Life teachings thro a coming of age story. The trio are struggling to choose a future, afraid & burdened by their trauma’s. Yuki with the help of “mother tohru” , leaves the nest “youngster stage” & sets his foot into the future & struggles to: have fiends, express himself, face his parents, be honest with himself, form an identity & understand himself.
se03: Life teachings of mature issues to those who have already chosen wrong once or twice. bigger issues are presented such as: guilt, death, trauma, extreme self-loath, self-destructive tendencies (kyo), grief, lack of self-esteem, refusing to let go of the past, abandonment issues, constructed polite girl identity with false happy mask (tohru), superiority complex, false forced identity, sins & misdeeds (akito), other themes such as adultery, manipulation, passiveness & enabling can fit the other characters.
So, naturally, season 3 is the richest in content, extremely entertaining story-focused, plot-driven, multi characters depth, plethora of themes, issues & variety of fascinating character writing to distinguish between various arcs & wrap ups. Honestly, se03 carries the whole success since it IS the story of Fruits Basket ( a basket of different fruits & we get to hear/see them all, including the rice-cake!). Still, se03 suffered from the issues of pacing & format I mentioned above, plus condensed content due to short number of eps dedicated to 12 characters.
2. Overall Vision:
Tohru being the main protagonist carries the story’s vision, however, I think Taklaya-san wanted the vision to expand to all her characters. I duno abt the author’s true vision since I haven’t read the manga, but if I were to guess based on the overall story: it is “the acceptance of human weakness”. Yuki isn't the perfect prince, tohru isn't the angelic mom, kyo isn't the horrible monster. These assumptions are the OTHER characters’ perspective of them. Not their true identity or reality. We later even learn that the abusive akito herself, chose a healthier identity, the atoned family head. However, in the anime, characters’ weakness isn’t the center of the anime’s vision, rather its vision is abt the “nurturing effects of the mother figure”, which is supported by the writing as well, but shouldn't be the core driving plot. The anime is more centered around mothers & more narrowly guided. The characters’ weaknesses takes a second seat until the focus on the mother role is over. This does not affect tohru only, but all characters including yuki himself.
-Tohru being the female protagonist shouldn’t be angelic as this contradicts the core theme, thus tohru is given her own set of (human aspects):  trauma, frustrating character traits, faulty coping mechanism: the fake happy mask. Her role as yuki’s mother is only ONE part of her, as big as it is his life & as huge as it is from his perspective. It should NOT be what the audience can only see & feel from tohru. If it is, then Tohru is forever the 16 year-old mother of her peers, sth a normal teenager shouldn't, contradicting the basic existence of the human aspects mentioned above.
a. How does the overall vision being focused on “tohru’s motherly role” affect characters’ depths?
-For Tohru: In the anime, tohru being yuki’s mother lasted for 2 seasons, during that time, we are ONLY allowed to see HER from HIS perspective. Everything abt her human weakness is either vaguely hinted “ few scenes here & there” or pushed to se03. In se01 & 2, tohru is only allowed to act as a “teenage girl” in front of two male characters: (kyo & momiji):
How is tohru depicted in front of kyo & momiji? If you re-watch the anime, once tohru is around these two, her character is very different & she stops giving advice & instead “listen” to them. She is shown more lively & drawn younger & girly, asking more than talking, receiving advice, they both look at her as a normal girl with burdens on her shoulder rather than “savior/care taker”. Kyo complains to her few times abt that & calls her out on her self-denying antics, momoji takes a different approach & subtly provides chances for her to be a “teenage girl”: going to a hot spring & vacation. She opens up to kyo slowly in all her scenes with him, but while she doesn't open up to momiji, she allows herself to show vulnerability & throw her mask a bit in front of him (se01, ep12: she listened to his talk abt his mom, related to him, cried & hugged him with NO advice even tho she didnt tell him abt her mom), se02, she listened to his talk abt his sister, related to him, cried & gave NO advice even tho she didnt tell him she thought abt her mom).
The anime’s heavy focus on her “motherly”side, contradicts showing her as vulnerable & traumatized, hence her backstory lasted for 4 minutes in her own ep, se03, ep6. Later when she faces akito, tohru’s growth kicks in & she starts relating to her issues of abandonment but all this growth came from those 4 minutes of backstory in ep6. In ep9, in front of akito, tohru was depicted just like how she is depicted in all yuki centered eps, ( giving an advice, smiling, a hallow of light around her, the sun rises, the rain stops & she shines her kindness to heal the wounds).
-For Yuki: In the anime, Yuki is shown seeking a mother & all the right monologues & issues are perfectly presented. However, his weakness isn’t only wanting a mother!! yuki is depicted as a prince by others, so a huge part of his growth is to leave the princely persona behind, which is sth that was not focused on in the anime. Outside of his issues on viewing tohru as a mother & wanting friends, yuki continued to be depicted as prince & wasn't much allowed the freedom of being “a normal teenage boy”. Machi narrated that part of his growth, motoko too, but it wasnt depicted much on screen & yuki continued to have dashing bubbles, sparkles, hair flowing on wind & extreme focus on beautiful face. Him becoming a dynamic character outside of his “finishing my tohru-mother confession to my friend” is very short lived. This would’ve easily been fixed if less attention was given to his “mom tohru” phase. He is more than “I used to look at tohru as my mom”.
-For kyo: In the anime, kyo never looked at tohru as a mom, hence from the beginning kyo didn’t fit the overall vision. Hence, all his issues are pushed into se03 when tohru’s “mom role” is finished. There is a reason we have ONE kyo centered ep in se1 & 2. it IS contradicting the current tohru-image of being a mom. Also, kyo’s thoughts are blocked completely for dramatic purposes but he didnt need to be absent from tons of eps which he was, even his growth ever since se01 finale is very subtle in order to not derive from tohru’s image as a mom. We have some scenes of kyo & tohru interacting, but they should be sparse se01, ep 23 (soup ep) or se02, ep2, or short scenes such kyoto scene or tohru’s worried abt her grandpa scene in se2, ep14. Most of kyo’s & tohru’s scenes aren’t solely romantic in their nature but they provide in depth peek into their true personality & identity as humans. With her kyo isn’t angry or annoyed & with him tohru isn’t bubbly with the “I’m okay” mask.
Side Notes:
There is no doubt that the anime was made with respect & love to the source material & the author. I can see this clearly & I don’t deny it at all. This isn’t meant to ridicule them at all. I respect them all plenty.
There is no doubt that the anime team were trying their best & if you like everything, then good for you, if you like some parts & don’t agree with others, then that’s fine. Criticizing is a form of loving, too. Just be respectful.
Preferences, tastes, visions, & outlooks, all differ from one human to another. This is normal & healthy.
The director or decision maker in the anime having different vision from the author is fine, too. After all, he’s a different person. His perspective & understanding of her characters is different. Disagreeing with him is fine. All medium of art are exposed to the audience perspective. I disagree with him on lots of creative decisions such as reliance on monologues, wide shots on intense moments, lack of zoom on facial expressions, most parallel scenes are very in the nose, need for exaggerated drama & over dramatic drawing of tohru & akito at times.
You can even differ with the writer herself on some parts of her writing, that’s fine, too.
I enjoyed this anime lots, it helped me make new friends, discuss lots of fascinating content, & practiced writing short critical reviews, which is sth I’ve missed from my college days!
I love the writing for the main male characters: Yuki & Kyo. I love their arcs so much! Yuki got the best focus on his core issues. Kyo, in particular surprised me as I used to think, due to the minimum content on him, that he’s only the secondary rival of the main male protagonist. But kyo’s story turned out fascinating & very psychological informed.
Still, the anime is lacking to me for its depiction & presentation of women. The main female characters (Tohru & akito) are lacking realistic depiction of their core issues & time dedicated to that.  The focus on tohru’s mom role steals from realistic existence as a character on her own right. Akito is a villain for so long & her atonement is quick & her love story is quicker. Both females didn’t get to tell us their traumatic backstory in detail like the boys & they didn’t have enough focus on their human side.
Altho kyo had (1) way less screen time than yuki or even tohru, (2) his true backstory was only revealed in the climax, (3) his inner thoughts were blocked for suspense, he was written wearing his emotions on his sleeve from ep1, so, we grew to feel for him & dreaded what could’ve broken such endearing boy, hence, once it was shown we understood the psychological trauma that destroyed him. One third of the puzzle of his story was revealed each season gradually. (1) se01 (true form), (2) se02 (his bet with akito, knowing kyoko & loving tohru), (3) se03 (His whole backstory including the abusive father).
I wouldn’t say, I wish tohru was given the (yuki treatment) cuz then we’ll need more than 13 eps for se03, I just wished her story & emotions to at least be given the (kyo treatment): Divided into clear thirds (parts).
The anime is a lovely treat that I can recommend to lots of ppl with ease. You dont have to be into shojo to get into it, but it’ll undoubtedly trick you into its subtle main love story that subvert most shojo tropes. The other love stories are good as well, there’s a type of love for every fan!
There’s a number of platonic friendships which is very refreshing!
My Final Verdict of the anime: Very Endearing as it tugs at my heart!

He sighs a little as he pushes himself to his feet and walks over to the freezer, pulling out his favorite mint chocolate chip ice cream and placing it into two bowls before handing a bowl to Zen. This may not be the best of gifts and maybe he'll ask Saeyoung to get something later but for now he hoped that it was pretty obvious what the gesture meant.

Did he know that he was being unreasonable? Yes. Did he care? No. He was trying to trick his mind into convincing him that he wasn’t jealous, even as he followed Sehun all the way back home, even as he said out loud that he wasn’t jealous, even as he realised that Sehun had been keeping his distance because he was drunk and knew that Saeyoung didn’t like being around people for too long. The blonde was looking out for him and yet he was still feeling rather annoyed as he entered the apartment and watched Sehun throw himself onto the sofa. He sighed lightly, walking over towards the sofa but keeping a short distance away, watching over him as he tried to explain just what the redhead had seen. And no, he wasn’t stalking him. He had simply been concerned that Sehun wasn’t home and had quickly checked some cameras to make sure he was alive. There was nothing wrong with that, well he wouldn’t admit that to himself at the moment. He was still trying to reason out in his own mind as to why he was feeling so annoyed. Sehun was right. He wasn’t his boyfriend. He had been pushing him again - sending mixed signals, changing between hot and cold. “Maybe I want to change that though”, he’d crossed the room before he’d thought this entire thing through. The smell of drink was heavy on Sehun’s breath, enough to cause Saeyoung to hesitate for the smallest of seconds before he’d sat down in the other male’s lap, one leg on either side of Sehun as the redhead leaned in closer and captured the other's lips into a rather heated kiss.

He glanced up towards the sky as a few more flakes seemed to fall from the sky. Carefully, he walked over in order to take some of the bags from Jaehee to help her, shaking his head slightly. “...the mountains got pretty cold during the winter...it snowed but I tended to stay inside”, he frowned slightly, “Hmm seems like I loved the flowers just in time. Winter can be so harsh...ah what about you? Do you like the snow?”

@vanderwood-stark If he could, he would have barricaded his door and never came back out but since the last time he’d attempted doing so had resulted in Saeyoung almost knocking the door off it’s hinges, it was with great reluctance that he walked out of his room and glanced around for any sign of the annoyance. No one seemed to be around at the moment so he wondered over to the freezer to dig out some ice cream for breakfast, glancing over his shoulder as he spotted some movement. “...where’s Saeyoung?”, he muttered, still not used to this stranger and not wishing to have to deal with him alone, “...I  erm... I’m just getting breakfast...”

Plot points I’d love to see explained in future furuba eps: (from an anime only eyes)
These are things that are bothering me since they are connected to the core plot & characters’ depth, trauma, progression & development . Hopefully, they’ll be explained later.
The obvious: kyoko’s “I won’t forgive you”. I MUST KNOW WHY!!!
How do kid kyo & kyoko know each other in the first place? She’s friends with a sohma’s adult? friends with kyo’s mom? works at elementary his school? she’s the lunch lady? sells hot dog nearby? A cleaning lady at the dojo or sth?
How long did she know kyo to start talking abt tohru & more importantly her darkest secret of hurting tohru unintentionally? It is weird to just meet a child & say, I’d like to tell you bt the time my husbando died...fun times!
We were told by the grandpa, she “went away from home for a long time”, What changed her mind & let her come home to tohru????? What snapped her from her depression? What made her remember the daughter she abandoned? Sometimes, I praise furuba for its realistic depiction of trauma but sometimes, the very thing furuba excels in is the least explained thing for certain characters! Example, the unfortunate time dedicated for the MC tohru.. Also, it is the least followed up thing for other characters. Example: Tohru again & also Isuzu. Hope these are the only examples in the whole show, don’t add kyo, or akito to the list of quickly & lazily wrapped stories, please.
Kyoko told young kyo in ep7, “then I got busy with moving out”. Moving from where? Was she & her husband living outside Tokyo? Moving with her work? He got moved for work? They were living with the grandpa & then moved out?
All the time she knew kyo, she never brought her daughter with her to play with him? Never invited him to their house? Why? was she too scared of kyo’s monster true form? she knew abt kyo’s true form?????
Why is her husband’s face hidden? Is he not that important? But even Akira had a face! His face remained hidden even in the pic tohru showed kyo. I mean, yeah, I don’t really care what he looks like, but it was a weird thing to do. Is this some weird artistic move the anime does? What’s the point?
kyoko is the spitting image of Arisa. Same hair, same style, same color schemes, same mandatory addition of purple in her clothes, even same gangasta background. Had I not seen the ED of Arisa & Kureno lovey dovey together, I’d guessed him to die like tohru’s dad. I wouldn't be surprised if he really looks like kureno. The pattern is too obvious to ignore.
Kyoko looks so fond of child kyo. Alas this changed now!. Why does kyoko hate kyo now!!!!!! WHY!!!!! WHHHHYYYYYYY!!! T_T
I want to see the kyoko that kid kyo saw!!!! that’s the most realistic kyoko. Such a shame that kyoko become similar to se1 & 2 tohru: a mother & a fixer only. Tohru is becoming a real person now in se3 with issues & weaknesses, granted not much depth unfortunately, but it is way better than se1 & 2 tohru of  “mommy said so”, or “yuki’s momma”. Now she’s a real 17-18 years old girl with issues & romance. Kyoko remains pure, only human in the grandpa’s narrative. In se3, ep7 intro, she looked real for few seconds, then the wind moved her hair & weird words of wisdom came out: “look for your answers”. -_-’‘.. Lesson of the day time again! very direct & without context!
Also, EVERYTHING ABOUT KYO! give me the kyo’s darkest storm & the following brightest clearance! can’t wait!!! can’t believe the last time we went deep with him was se2 ep 9! make it hurt & make it heal! Above all, make it real!!
Ok, out of 13 ep, we’re reaching ep 8. Meaning there are 6 eps to at least answer some these questions! Still enough time to explore kyo’s development,  akito’s redemption (as seen in the ED), & hopefully, add depth to tohru! Things could get better in the character exploration department. They have to. Otherwise, what’s the point?
Also, kindly don’t answer my questions, they’re not directed towards anybody. I’m just thinking out aloud & just posting them for a reference to come back to them later after the finale.
thanks<3

(2/3) I HAVE MADE A MISTAKE IT WAS ACTUALLY A POST BY SAERAN LOVER IN YOUR BLOG (the thing about yoosung thinking twice abt rika on SE1 ep7). BUT U AGREE RIGHT?? IDK BUT I STILL WANNA KNOW WHAT U THINK!! IM SO AWKWARD IM SORRY!!!
Hola! I know you’re ayoosung fan so i wanna know what u think about the Secret endings. In SE2 zen(&yoosung) sent R*ka to alaska bcause of zen’s dream. They think they wereprotecting rika & i cant rlly 100% blame them cause they don’t know what’sexactly happened (tho they have a tiny idea that reeka’s into some deep shit:they aint dumb). so, my question is, if yoosung (&zen) knew the whole truthabout rica & ME, do u think he’ll still send rika to alaska/protect herwholeheartedly? (1/?)
Cuz i once asked ablogger (who’s neutral on yoosung) the same thing & they said yeah he’llstill protect her & hide her/deff send to alaska. But i saw one of yourposts abt yoosung thinking twice abt rika in ep7 on SE1 so i was thinking maybehe’ll care abt rika but not blindly defend her or be loyal to her anymore???Cause ricka’s done some fucked up shit to a lotta ppl. I think you’re verysmart & i wanna know ur input & i hope u can be objective abt this!Thank you so much!! (2/2)
(Those were the previousasks sent. Also, the post being referenced is here,by @saeranlover.)
I am a Yoosung fan! But Ialso want to look at this objectively and realistically.
Ideally, I would love ifYoosung, knowing the full, actual truth about Rika, was able to accept from theget go that Rika is a terrible person and not put up with her anymore.Realistically though, you must keep in mind that Rika was manipulating Yoosunginto blindly worshiping her… for about seven years (before she left) I would say. Now Zen wouldmore likely be able to more quickly accept the truth about Rika, since he washonestly a lot closer to V than Rika. I don’t think Zen would have evenbothered to suggest Alaska. I feel like he mostly wanted to send Rika there sothat Yoosung wouldn’t have to worry about her and could continue with hisstudies. But in this case, where they would know the full truth, Zen wouldprobably try to help Yoosung accept that the Rika he came to know is not whoshe really is. Yoosung would definitely need a lot of emotional support fromthe other members, which he doesn’t get at all in the canon Secret Endings. However, I believe that he would eventually conclude that Rika is not a goodperson and move on… it would just take a long time. He would also need to go totherapy most likely (and really, everyone in the RFA would benefit fromtherapy).
What I personally don’tget about the canon Secret Endings is how Zen has his prophetic dream aboutRika being arrested… but doesn’t come to the conclusion that there could besome actual merit to his dream, and instead continues to insist that she go toAlaska. Yoosung I get, since he never even got a hint of what happened to her, plus she’s still got him on a chain. And yes, everyone found out about thedocuments in her apartment… but Yoosung started to believe that she had killedherself because Mint Eye was making her be involved with them. Thus, it’spossible that he was either told or he concluded that Rika ran away to escapefrom them. After all, he and Zen are told that Rika was living in hiding whileshe was gone.
Aside from story length(and maybe time constraints), I don’t really understand why Cheritz made thedecision to not have Yoosung and Zen know the truth about Rika. It doesn’t doanyone in the RFA any good for them not to know. I get that they wanted to keepthe truth about Seven and Saeran’s father a secret, but they still could havetold Yoosung and Zen about everything else, and just said that Rika and V werehelping them out of a bad family situation. It doesn’t benefit Yoosung to notknow, because he’s now stuck taking care of his ungrateful cousin whotells him to leave, plus he would have been extremely confused when they cameto arrest her (if Zen hadn’t been able to convince Yoosung to send Rika toAlaska). And then Seven hacks in and deletes the investigation files because itcontains information about him and Saeran? Like… what? He doesn’t want justice forthe two of them, or for V… or anyone else affected by Rika? So much for beingthe “Defender of Justice”.
I hope my answer can helpyou! I did try to remain as objective as I could be, and I hope that cameacross. I hope you have a nice day!

@frozcnreality continued from [X]
He gave a weak smile as he laid back and stared up at his ceiling, watching the glow in the dark stars he’d placed up there to help calm his mind at night. Sometimes the gesture worked and sometimes it never. It was a good try though and he couldn’t bring himself to remove the stars no matter how much Saeran may make fool of him for having them there or how childish Vanderwood may see them as. At this point, the redhead was willing to try almost anything to get some decent sleep but he doubted that’d happen anytime soon. He always had been a light sleeper and with Saeran around that had gotten worse as he would worry too much about his brother and need to go and check on him. Yet, no matter how busy life was, it seemed as though his thoughts kept drifting back towards the blonde whom he had shared an apartment with for a short while, who’d almost fallen for a roof, who’d tossed himself into danger just because he didn’t want Saeyoung to face it all alone. He was thankful to have his brother back and was doing everything in his power to try and help his brother to heal and settle in but it was rather impossible to ignore that he was missing Sehun.
That’s why he’d finally phoned. He’d wanted to leave him alone. Sehun had been through so much because of him and had now returned back to his normal life. Surely he wouldn’t wish to hear from him, right? Yet he had answered and now Saeyoung found himself somewhat speechless. It wasn’t that often that he was lost for words but this was one of those moments. He blinked, reaching a hand up into the air as though he could touch one of the stars above him as he searched for his mind for something, anything to say. What the heck was wrong with him? He’ been the one to make this phone call! “Me? Ah, I think I’ve been doing okay...my arm’s mostly healed and Saeran seems to be doing well...”, he bit at his lip. There was so much more than he wanted to ask, so much more than he wished to say and yet the words seemed to just not be coming. “No, no it’s fine”, he sighed, “You went through a lot too. You must have been just as busy as I have...returning back to a normal life after everything we put you through...”.
