What is with boomer father's GAINING clarity in their old age? My dad used to be an Armageddon doomsdayer who drew prophecies of dreams from God. He was abusive and was cruel to us and animals. Told me I was going to hell and would disown me if I was gay.
Now, he's sorrowful about his old behaviors. Lamenting the past he ruined. Using correct pronouns in my lgbt family. Studying wormholes and alternate dimensions from a scientific standpoint. Embracing the native heritage he tried to bury for years. Cried about a cat he mistreated 10 years ago.
