got iq tested as a teen as part of an evaluation and like, i don't have access to it because of the hospital losing my report and never giving one to my parents, but they were essentially like, oh you got problems big time, but you're smart so it's probably ok???? no need for help because Too Smart :D

my take on karkat vantas from homestuck [which people are always begging me to know all the time, of course] is that while he does know his shit, he's very effective & emotionally intelligent, he goes off little enough and relies so much on his own assumptions [because he Knows he knows his shit] that he can be shockingly imperceptive
the best example of this imo is his "dating chart" with dave and terezi which i think is him playing into troll norms because he assumes everyone wants to meet them as much as he does . which imo is him overcompensating a lot for not meeting troll romance standards . but also evolving on this:
i think his journey as a player leading up to god tiering was supposed to be overcoming societal expectations to see how people work outside of them . he's completely fucking strangled by them! i can think of moments where he enforces them! and if he didn't then he would actually be able to flourish . which i think ties into him being a knight of blood well if we go with the interpretation "one who weaponizes their aspect." but oh well oh well oh well.
As for how this factors into my staggering obsession with Davekat,
