“My parents were always very controlling and manipulative honey. They wanted us to be their puppets.”

“I know they don’t but I’m still worried, babe.” she said softly looking at her husband as she sniffled “I didn’t do anything wrong why are they coming for us.”

“Me and Bray didn’t turn out how they wanted so in their twisted heads Rory could be their redo.”

“They don’t have a case babe. You own your salon, i’m a successful screenwriter.” He smiled. “We’re no where close to being unfit parents.”

“Chase?” she asked softly as she came downstairs holding Rory close to her “It’s just daddy, baby.” she said finishing going down the stairs

“Are you two okay?” He held them both close to his body when he was within reach. “Nothing is going to happen baby. I promise.”

Chase raced home. He needed to make sure that he was home before his parents did if they did. “Avani? Baby?” He took two steps at a time.
