The reason
I choose to select the theme “The Feeling of Isolation ,” because I felt that art is often viewed with different perspectives. And as for me, I acknowledged that art is deceiving and sometimes there are hidden truths behind. For my collection, I searched for artworks that contained negative connotations like death, loneliness, emptiness, separation, isolation, and confusion. Death is the fine line between the living and the afterlife. Loneliness and emptiness are the symptoms of isolation. Confusion came along with isolation too.
I tried to keep the colors of the artworks less vibrant and more idle instead. Dull colors affect the overall atmosphere of my tumblr page. I set my background colors to be gray. I set my profile picture to be black and white. Isolation involves contrasts and differences. Isolation is the state of being alone. Being an individual. These individual artwork came from different periods and different medians. When you look at them, you’ll feel the feeling of isolation. You’ll feel lonely, empty, separated, confused, devastating... isolated
