i'm glad you liked it!! not sure how long the next chapter will be, since i'm sort of trying to (poorly) make up for the (TWO YEAR??) hiatus. usually chapters are around 10k words, so we'll see. i also might rewrite a few descriptions from previous chapters...rereading this fic really feels like see-sawing between "okay past reese that was a solid bit of imagery" and "you're making this way more emo than it has to be" BUT!! i would like to think my writing has improved since then so while i will try to emulate the structure of my previous chapters, there'll obviously be some differences (hopefully improvements lol.)

¡hi! I just wanted to mention I found your ficts like, a week ago by pure chance and I am absolutely obsessed with the way you characterize will and the rest of the apollo cabin. Haven't actually interacted with any pjo content in a WHILE but i just absolutely ran through most your ficts in such few time, i adore how you write oh my god. It's everything i've ever wanted for these characters I so rarely find any content but am still mildly loosing my mind over.

my fave pjo writer, even above rick riordan, is @cordelia---rose -- she is the will solace author of all time and gets him like no one else does. and me personally im more of a character writer than a plot writer, but BOY can cordelia do both. here's her ao3.

another writer i love is @the-ghost-king, who is not only right all the time but has some EXCELLENT niche headcanons for will that fit so so well. he's also got great analyses in abundance about the entire canon series, as he's currently rereading it, and on nico in general. his ao3 is here.

to the other anon about series inconsistencies - yes there are over 30 books. but if you have a franchise with like 5+ books you are supposed to have something called a series bible to keep track of things. this is standard industry practice. Rick Riordan vocally does NOT and both him and his editor explicitly have stated they reference the fandom wiki instead, which is full of inaccurate information - some of which being completely fabricated and then later canonized because it was on the wiki (such as Nico having been the one to ask out Will - that had been on Nico's page for years, since Hidden Oracle iirc, and got canonized in TSATS simply because somebody had made that up and put that there).

First series did not have a significant problem with inconsistencies because there was some amount of cross-referencing. The amount of inconsistencies in first series is the normal amount one would expect. As the series progresses we get major inconsistencies between chapters of the same book. That's ridiculous.

There are PLENTY of series with more than 30 books that have fewer inconsistencies than PJO. Animorphs for example has over 50 books AND ghostwriters. The reason people are complaining about it is because there is a bare minimum expectation for quality here that keeps not being met. It's not a miracle we dont have more inconsistencies, it's genuinely ridiculous how downhill the quality has gotten when there is a very simple solution to fix one of the major problems that they should have been doing since the beginning.

Hello world! I finally decided to post a comic adaptation of the first chapter.
