पक्षी उड़ते जा रहे हैं
कंगारू कुलाँचें मारते जा रहे हैं
हम सूर्योदय से सूर्यास्त तक
बस चलते जा रहे हैं।
हमारे सामने जो हैं
सब दृश्य पीछे जा रहे हैं।
चाँद के नजदीक पहुँचने की तमन्ना में,
हम अपने पैरों की ओर देखे बगैर
चलते जा रहे हैं।
पाँव की चप्पल को घिसते हुए,
अपने मन-मुआफ़िक़ रास्ते को छोड़
चलते जा रहे हैं।
मेरे चलने से धरती भी चलती है
एक जगह से दूसरी जगह पहुँचती है।
फ़ेहरिस्त लम्बी है ज़िंदगी की
चाँद-तारों संग
आसमाँ को मुट्ठी में भरने की ख़ातिर
अपना पता बदलते जा रहे हैं।
