“that is not how you’re supposed to talk to someone who literally holds your lifeline in her hands.” she chuckles somewhat sinisterly at the sight in front of her. leo never knew when to stop but nature always had a way of teaching him a lesson. closing her eyes and looking the other way, sage hands him the pile of clothes she’d gathered. “what would you have done if somebody else showed up? you really need to be more careful,” she sighs quietly, now on nag mode. “and weren’t you just sick like yesterday? why the hell are you out here?”

“hey do me a favor and don’t just stand there… hand me my shoe… a fucking sock… anything at this point would be nice,” stark-naked behind a sakura tree, leo felt his ears growing bright red. so maybe an afternoon jog following intense training at the dojo wasn’t in leo’s best interest. especially since he had recovered from a fever only twenty-four hours prior. he had curled up in cat form behind this tree to avoid too much suspicion from the outside sohmas, so boy was he happy to see another zodiac. arm outstretched, he wiggled his finger tips toward his underwear, disgusted that he even ended up in such a compromising position. “god is fucking dead, dude.”

OVERVIEW.

hanasaki yagami was born to sakura yahawashi and seth yagami in detroit, michigan

her parents were high school sweethearts and had a strong relationship up until the birth of their daughter

upon finding out that sage had been cursed with the tiger spirit her mother immediately ran away leaving seth and his week old daughter by themselves

despite only having one parent there’s no affection lost in sage’s life and seth promises to love his daughter twice as hard

her life only begins to get complicated in middle school when she begins to gets bullied for only having one parent

sage fears her father’s reaction so she doesn’t tell him that she’s having trouble in school afraid that he’ll think she’s weak for not being able to handle a few words

because of her bottled up emotions sage begins to inadvertently cause problems for her father, going missing for days on end

it isn’t until her freshman year of high school that her father finally decides to properly explain the curse to sage and that she’d always be different in some shape or form

sage’s rebellion only grows stronger at the admission. she believes that if she ignores her fate it’ll somehow go away

spoiler: it does not. her father gets tired of her shit and ships her off to kyoto to be with her grandmother

sage’s grandmother gives her the clarity she so obviously craves but is too afraid to ask for

she begins to then see the curse just for what it is and decides not to let it dictate her life and her life only goes up from there

after a year sage eventually reconciles with her father. she realizes she needs all the love she can get in such a crazy life

LITTLE FACTS.

despite her troubled years, sage is all soft words and sparkly eyes and still has a positive outlook on the world, despite not really having much of one for herself

she loves her family more than anything. her father and grandmother are her lifeline and she doesn’t go a day without letting them know that

she found her calling early on in life. while she was getting bullied sage found a little bit of solace in the world of books. she loved they way they made her feel and decided that she wanted to creatively help people in that way too

her idea to become a writer was quickly shot down because of the popularity it could come with but akito let her become a librarian which wasn’t her initial idea, but it was close so she took what she could get

sage still writes on the side and posts short stories in the newspaper under a pseudonym and that’s good enough for her. for now

PERSONALITY.

sage is a virgo. so she always puts 100% of herself im whatever she does and has very little room for anything less than perfection. she’s still learning not to put those expectations on others too.

a tomboy. grew up w her father and his friends and has way too many of his mannerisms. her dad always tells her that she looks like her mother but acts like him and even though she never knew the woman, nothing could be more accurate. she’s a perfect balance of both her parents

she has a sanguine temperament and is completely a pacifist preferring to fight with words than with fists if she absolutely has to. she wants everybody to get along and she hardly ever get mad which makes her the ultimate peacemaker. which can be kind of annoying

kinda oblivious. she’s head empty only a lil bit of thoughts

wishes to be an art heaux but she just doesn’t understand the shit so she sticks to writing

cares so much for her friends and always wants to make them feel appreciated. she is absolutely the sentimental sad drunk and will not hesitate to tell you 100 times how much she loves you

wants to be a hopeless romantic but just doesn’t see it in her cards and has given up on it. she “friendzones” people without even realizing until it’s too late

always on go. running on caffeine fumes and stubbornness

she just has a lot of love to give even if she doesn’t know it. idk man. she’s baby
