Week 2 of nee training block with the end result to be 95 kg and get rid of any skinny fat look. As previously mentioned I need to drop fat to help limit testosterone converting into estrogen This in turn helps build and maintain muscle mass. Lower body to kick off the week and hitting all the muscles 360 is my 1st objective but also to help with recovery from rugby on weekend. Finishing off with some Alternative extension to stretch out the lower back and core muscles. 2nd Conditioning session in the new phase of my training. I need to up the intensity of my training to help shift a few extra kgs but keeping the amount of sessions (volume) the same. I dropped out a push/pull and added a conditiong session. I've done this for a reason other than a physical one! I have to start doing what I NEED to do not what I WANT to do. I would do a upper body, push/pull every day of every week if I could get away with it and make progress. It's my go to playbook. But I also neglect other aspects of training, sometimes intentionally but also happens if I don't have a planned programme. You need to consider all aspects of training and develop 360degree strength, hypertrophy,mobility,flexibility and conditioning structure. If you are asked by your coach to track your gym sessions, food intake or steps to increase you really need to be able to produce the evidence otherwise it’s just your opinion! Especially at the start of a coach/client relationship, you are being asked to track your training and nutritional intake so the PT can see if you are coping with the new demands he/she is asking of you. IMO if you can’t track on a daily basis at the start of a programme then you may be missing a few reps to finish the set, not taking into account the extra treats you had and rounding up the number of steps to hit your daily target?! You should feel comfortable enough to be honest with your PT and admit to any short fallings. This will help the trainer understand you better and make any adjustments to your programme to help you stay focused and ultimately enjoy your fitness journey. The PT should also emphasise with you and understand that habits take time to form. POSTPONED Yesterday I uploaded the 1st training session of my new block that I wanted to do today. I've had to put it on the back burner after my hamstrings and lower back are in bits after playing abit of rugby yesterday! (Few days away and a few beers took its toll!) Instead I've gone 4 a couple mile walk on the promenade. Even though it's frustrating that I wasn't able to get to the gym on my terms, I've still managed to kick start my training with a decent walk in the sun and I know it will help with my recovery so I can train tomorrow. You can have your plans derailed sit back, think fk it and go on a food and drink binge and making your recovery longer OR ADAPT Get moving, eat and drink healthy and keep on track with getting back to your original plans! Everyone wants to hit their goal in the smoothest and quickest way. Life can mess that up. Just limit the mess.
