The alien told to himself as the cabbage he absentmindedly tossed aside knocked a glass over and continued rummaging through this Earthling’s kitchen  He was on a mission of the utmost importance and he needed to see it through:  Find some grub and presents so he could survive this planet’s harsh wildlife.

And by “wildlife”, that meant strictly the humans for the most part.  They’re just plain unfunky.

Anyway, there was nothing good in their fridge.  Bummer.  Wonder if they had any useful presents for him to "borrow”.  Icarus Wings?  Super Hi-Tops?  Even one of those confusing Doorways?  Doesn’t seem that way.  No colorfully-wrapped boxes in sight.

❛ Man, this was a bust!  Why couldn’t they leave ‘em out in th’ open like last time?  That definitely made things easier-- ❜

A voice cut his griping short and his eyes turn towards its source:  a female Earthling!  Admittingly, he jumped a bit upon the sight of her.  She could’ve snuck up on him easily!  ...but why didn’t she?  Though with all the stuttering and shaking, he knew why.  Hasn’t she seen an E.T. as radical as him before?  Seems like Earth is still way behind the rest of the universe.

ToeJam held up his three-fingered hands and waved them slightly, showing both that he had nothing on him and he didn’t mean any harm.
