Needle felted Chillet from Palworld! He took about 12 hours. I didn't have any blue in the color I needed for his body, so I blended from two other colors using my wool cards. There's a bit of mottling in the color, but I kind of like it.

He stands around 8 inches tall- and yes, he is in my fridge. He's keeping it cold in there.

'Be Good Luffy' Clip Studio Paint, about 10 hours

I decided to paint this scene because I thought it in particular was done very well, especially with the accompanying track, which I have listened to many times. This adaptation really surprised me and I honestly can't wait for the next season. (How are they going to handle Chopper without catapulting into the uncanny valley though?)

This is my first painting uploaded to this site in a few years and there is vast improvement between this and the previous posts on this blog, so beware. I'm hoping to share more and soon open commissions.

Hey guys, I made a Twitch for the purpose of streaming my artwork on days off -hoping to open up my audience and get some good practice in while maybe trying some things I haven’t tried before. A funny little dragon I named Kermit, because he sits like a frog. The puppet version took me a long time to complete and as it turns out I still didn’t do it quite right (you can see that some teeth fell out), but he is a prototype, so I’m not going to feel too bad about it. I have since constructed a much larger “adult” version, which... also needs a lot of work. Lol. That’s the True Art Experience though. Everything you make will always be better than the last thing and not as good as the next.

It’s been a long time since I posted any work, and an equally long time since I produced any work worth posting, but as we have arrived at the open of the year 2020 and the season of resolutions, you can expect to see more activity here. Cause that’s a resolution, right? Painting more? Yeah, we’re going with that.

So here is a long, long, LONG overdo portrait of a character I like. If you haven’t seen Epic, watch it, if only for him.

It’s been a while since I worked on anything -once my job went full time, my art kind of took a back seat, even now that I can afford to do it for fun and not for money. This is the first indulgent thing I have drawn in a very long time and it’s no surprise that it’s a flying tiger (my friends would tell you this is like my mascot animal).

So far I’ve been outlining with prismacolor pencil, but I don’t know whether I’ll proceed strictly with them (making this the largest color pencil drawing I ever made) or with watercolor. Hmm.
