James Gunn has set a precedent in Superman and Peacemaker, and I hope it will continue with the DCU Batman
I’m not sure how much direct involvement James Gunn will have with upcoming Batman: The Brave and the Bold movie for DC Studios, but after watching Superman for the third time and how Krypto interacts with Clark, I hope that Gunn or whoever is working on the film finds a way to include Ace The Bat-Hound. The way I see it is, if Gunn has made a universe where we as the audience can buy stories where both Superman and Peacemaker save the world with the help of their perspective pets, then is too much of a stretch to give us a movie where a depressed billionaire who dresses up as a bat to deal with his childhood trauma and fight crime to make his city a better place also happens to have a dog to help him connect with his emotionally disturbed assassin son? Now I’m not saying Ace has to be dressed up in a whole cape and bat cowl with the yellow utility collar on his neck like he was in the Krypto the Superdog cartoon, but I wouldn’t mind an Easter Egg picture of Ace dressed up like that for Halloween that Alfred has put in a small frame next to the computer in the Batcave. Give me Ace the Bat-Hound, James Gunn, or give me death!
