The Young Love & Overprotective Dad
Ronnie and Inês, surrounded by the playful chaos of the backyard, stood amidst their friends and family. Ronnie, with a nervous but determined smile, knelt down on one knee before Ines, his heart racing with excitement. "Inês," he began, his voice steady despite the butterflies in his stomach, "will you marry me?"
Inês’s eyes widened in surprise, her cheeks flushing with a mix of emotions. "Oh, Ronnie," she exclaimed, her voice barely above a whisper, "yes, I will marry you!"
As Ronnie slipped the faux ring onto Inês’s finger, the other kids erupted into cheers and applause, their youthful enthusiasm filling the air Inês’s, holding a delicate flower in her hands, couldn't contain her happiness as she gazed into Ronnie's eyes.
Standing up, Ronnie leaned in, his heart pounding with anticipation, and gently pressed his lips to Inês’s. It was a tender moment, filled with the promise of a future together. As they pulled away, the cheers of the Manchester City men's team kids echoed around them, adding to the magic of the moment.Hand in hand, Ronnie and Inês smiled at each other, knowing that this was just the beginning of their journey together.
With excitement coursing through their veins, Inês tightly grasped Ronnie's hand, feeling the warmth of his touch as they raced towards their parents, the other kids following closely behind, their laughter filling the air.
"Inês, my beautiful wife," Ronnie grinned, his heart still fluttering from the joy of her acceptance, "your handsome husband!"
Inês giggled, her eyes sparkling with happiness. "Yes, my handsome husband," she replied, her voice filled with affection as they reached their parents, who were gathered nearby.
Their parents turned towards them, their faces lighting up with anticipation as they saw the radiant smiles on Ronnie and Inês's faces.
As the kids rushed to their parents , Inês couldn't contain her excitement, pulling Ronnie along with her as she called out for her dad. "Daddy, Daddy!" she exclaimed, her voice echoing through the backyard, "We got married! I'm Mrs. Foden now, and I just had my first kiss with Ronnie!"
Ronnie stood by her side, a proud grin on his face as he declared, "That's my wife, everybody!"
But Ruben, caught off guard by his daughter's announcement, felt a wave of shock wash over him. His protective instincts kicked in, and he stepped forward, his expression stern. "Married?" he repeated, disbelief coloring his voice, "Inês, sweetheart, what's going on?"
The laughter of Ruben's teammates filled the air, their amusement evident as they watched the unfolding scene. YN, Ruben's wife, leaned over to Rebecca, a playful glint in her eye. "Looks like we're going to be in-laws," she whispered with a chuckle.
As Ruben found himself caught in a back-and-forth argument with a determined five-year-old about why he couldn't marry his daughter Ines, he couldn't help but feel a mix of frustration and amusement. "Look, buddy," Ruben tried to reason, "marriage is something you do when you're older, okay? You'll understand when you're older."
But the little boy remained undeterred, insisting that he could marry Inês right then and there. Ruben sighed, feeling the weight of the conversation as he tried to find a way to explain it to the young child.
Before he could respond, Ronnie stepped forward, his voice firm but gentle. "One day, I will marry your daughter," he declared, his eyes meeting Ruben's with unwavering determination, "because I love her, and YN loves me, and she's given us her blessing."
Ruben's eyebrows shot up in surprise at Ronnie's bold statement, but before he could respond, Ronnie continued, his gaze softening as he turned to Inês. "And didn't we already say our vows, my dear wife?" he said, a playful smile tugging at the corners of his lips.
Inês’s eyes sparkled with love as she nodded, leaning in to plant a tender kiss on Ronnie's cheek. "Yes, my amor," she replied, her voice filled with affection.
But Ronnie wasn't finished yet. With a mischievous glint in his eye, he turned his head and pressed his lips to Inês’s, sealing their love with a sweet and passionate kiss.
After Ronnie and Inês pulled away from their sweet kiss, giggling with joy, a chorus of "Awwwww" erupted from the onlookers, their hearts warmed by the display of young love.
But Ruben's reaction was far from amused. He shot YN a warning glance and then turned back to Ines and Ronnie, his tone serious. "Inês, this isn't a joke," he said firmly, "Marriage is a serious commitment. Are you sure about this?"
Inês nodded earnestly, her eyes shining with determination. "Yes, Daddy," she replied, her voice steady, "Ronnie and I love each other, and we want to spend our lives together."
But Ruben's shocked expression stood out among the crowd, his brows furrowed in disbelief at what he had just witnessed. As laughter filled the air, Ruben found himself the unintentional center of attention, his wife YN capturing the moment on video with a gleeful chuckle.
"Congratulations, Mr. Foden and Mrs. Foden!" YN exclaimed with a grin, aiming the camera at the kids, her laughter echoing around them.
Ruben's expression darkened as he turned to Clara, his voice stern. "It's not funny, YN," he said firmly, "This isn't something to joke about."
YN’s laughter faded as she realized the seriousness of Ruben's tone. "I'm sorry, Ruben," she said softly, lowering the camera, "I was just trying to lighten the mood."
Ruben sighed, running a hand through his hair as he tried to gather his thoughts. "I know, YN," he said, his voice softer now, "But this is our daughter's future we're talking about. It's not something to take lightly."
YN nodded in understanding, her own concern mirroring Ruben's. "You're right," she admitted, her gaze turning back to the kids, who were still buzzing with excitement, "I just got caught up in the moment."
Ruben reached out to squeeze YN's hand, a silent gesture of reassurance. "Let's just make sure we guide them in the right direction," he said, his tone gentle but firm, "They're young, and they have a lot to learn."
YN nodded, a sense of determination shining in her eyes. "Agreed," she said, a small smile playing at the corners of her lips, "We'll be there for them every step of the way."
As they watched the kids continue to play and laugh, Ruben and YN knew that while their daughter's journey into adulthood might be filled with twists and turns, they would always be there to support her, no matter what.
Ruben watched in astonishment as the scene unfolded before him, his heart swelling with a mix of emotions. Despite his initial concerns, he couldn't deny the genuine love and affection between Ronnie and Inês .And as he looked at the two of them, lost in their own little world, he couldn't help but feel a sense of pride at the young couple they had become.
Ruben's expression softened slightly as he looked at his daughter, seeing the sincerity in her eyes. But his concern remained evident. "I just want what's best for you, Inês," he said softly, "I don't want you rushing into anything."
YN placed a comforting hand on Ruben's arm, understanding his worries but also trying to lighten the mood. "They're young, Ruben," she said gently, "Let them enjoy their puppy love."
But Ruben shook his head, his gaze still fixed on Inês and Ronnie. "I don't like the idea of my daughter getting a boyfriend, let alone a husband," he admitted, his voice tinged with protectiveness.
After while as the excitement of the gender reveal filled the air, Ruben stepped forward, his foot connecting with the football filled with blue powder, signifying that it's a boy. Cheers erupted from the gathered crowd as blue clouds billowed into the sky, announcing the news.
Ronnie's gaze softened as he turned to Inês, his love for her shining in his eyes. "My wife, my love, my princess," he said tenderly, "I will protect you and your baby brother with my life."
But Ruben, ever the protective father, couldn't help but feel a pang of concern at Ronnie's words. He turned to his teammate Phil, a sense of urgency in his voice. "Phil, get your son under control," he said firmly, "Before he starts planning the honeymoon!"
The comment drew laughter from the crowd, but Ruben's expression remained serious. He had a baby boy on the way, and he was determined to ensure that his daughter's happiness and safety were always prioritized.
Inês squeezed Ronnie's hand, a soft smile playing at her lips as she leaned into his side. "Thank you, my love," she said softly.
Ronnie nodded, his heart swelling with love for his wife and their growing family. As they stood together, surrounded by the laughter and joy of their loved ones, Ronnie knew that no matter what challenges they faced, they would always overcome them together. And with Ruben's protective instincts and Phil's playful banter, their journey into parenthood was sure to be filled with love, laughter, and a whole lot of football.
