In-Game/Love At First Sight

Chapter 5 Spoilers: What if Hajime saved Nagito from his death? Or that's what Hajime thought.

Hajime POV: After the 6 of us barged the warehouse door open and put out the raging blaze. I can only smell the remnants of the smoke. It's pitch black in there.. Whatever, I can't let it stop me from investigating the warehouse.

I can hear strange wheezing from the back as I look at the ruined curtain. I only see Nagito's body, with a spear implaing his stomach, a knife stabbed into his hand, his hands and feet tied, tape on his mouth, and an expression I shall never forget.

One of pure horror and hatred. Anything else would be plain wrong. Is he even alive??? Is he dead???

"Nagito! Are you even awake?? Dear God, are you okay??" I can't describe what I'm feeling as I run up to him and grab his arm, frantically shaking it. His wheezing gets worse, and his eyes fill with something I can't even describe.

I keep trying to pull the ropes off his hands and legs, along with taking the knife out of hand. Things only get worse from here.

After taking the spear out while yelling that Nagito is injured, I look back to see Nagito more pale than before. As white as the white-half of the Monokuma cut-outs.

"Oh... my God" Fuyuhiko mutters to himself as Sonia looks utterly horrified, and Kazuichi looks like he's gonna have a panic attack, Chiaki also looks upset.

"I... think we lost him, Hajime" Sonia puts a hand on my shoulder. I tried my best to save him, to keep him alive this time.

We'll never be confused by him again. We'll never be saved by him again. He's truly gone.. After everything I tried...

Dear God, it hurts.

A/N: Gee, this was a little hard to write. As the idea of Nagito being saved already was done by another artist. But I thought, why not take that idea, and make it more sinister? I'm not sure if people will like this.
