Just because the uncharitable thought (the post that this is actually about) went through your head, doesn't mean you should say it out loud (hit post).

Let’s Talk about Skizz
Alright so, I’m sure some of you have seen and some of you haven’t, but Skizz addressed the whole situation both with the “trans rights” message and his moderators.
In essence, Skizz affirmed that he whole-heartedly believes in trans rights (he actually said the words) and that he has “parted ways” with the moderators in question. He also stated that his colleagues have helped him understand the situation better and have helped him navigate how to deal with it and how to better moderate hateful comments in his YouTube comment section (which I didn’t even know were happening but I’m glad to hear nonetheless). His wording wasn’t perfect, but frankly I’ve never asked for or expected perfection. Just hearing him outright say trans rights and him taking the step to remove those moderators is, frankly, enough for me personally to forgive him.
I know it won’t be enough for some people, and I understand that completely. I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t going to take some time for my trust in Skizz to be rebuilt. But I will say that I am no longer reluctant to even touch his stuff for fear that my money will go to someone who voted for a man who wants me dead (to be clear this is about the moderator. I was never under the belief that Skizz himself was a bigot). I was a huge Skizz fan before this incident and that might be making it easier for me to forgive him, and I get that.
I just wanted to say this here because I know enough people follow me who felt deeply betrayed by this situation who may want to know this update, but haven’t been watching Skizz for obvious reasons. I only found out because someone posted about it on the Hermitcraft subreddit and I decided to take their word for it and watch his statement. I implore you to watch it as well and make up your own mind.
youtube
The statement is the first 8 minutes of this video. Again, watch it and determine how you feel for yourself. For me personally, just hearing him say “trans rights”, apologizing for how everything was handled, and saying those moderators are no longer on his team is enough. But I understand why for others it might not be.
#skizz discourse#skizzleman#skizz#I haven't watched the video yet#Will probably at some point#But I suppose time will tell with him either way#He'll either learn or he won't#Hopefully will. Lots of good hermits to teach him differently *cough* Joe Hills *cough*

Endlessly diabolical how you can't say words like rape and suicide uncensored without either being criticised by idiots or punished by conglomerates.

conservatives have fully lost the plot its actually extremely normal for little kids to pretend to be animals. it's a pretty essential part of their mental development and helps them practice creative skills actually. if a kid comes up to you and says "I'm a kitty cat" you don't need to reality check them. it's fine actually. the correct response is to say "are you? have you caught any mice today? what kind of kitty cat? do you have orange stripes? should we have tuna salad for lunch?"

pangkey rpf where they come out to their friends that they're dating please and thank you
The train was full, pockets of cc's tucked in between the gaps. The first day of Twitchcon had just ended, people trickling off one by one to their stops. Pangi and Lukey's group were going to explore the city more, a slight vibration in everyone's bones. Whether from adrenaline or exhaustion, no one really cared to decipher.
Lukey's thigh was pressed against Pangi's, distractedly warm. He was leaning over Pangi's lap to hear Woogie better, shifting closer and closer to his chest. He fought the urge to wrap around Lukey's waist.
Everyone's stop was coming up and Lukey had no plan in moving. He simply smiled, planting his hands in front of Pangi's thighs, animating about whatever he saw at the convention. He had no care and it was driving Pangi mad. He just wanted to hold him. He felt like he was being tested.
"Dude, you two do not need to be that close," Derap groaned. He was behind them, turning in his seat to look at them. He tried swatting Lukey away. "It's actually getting ridiculous now."
"It's not my fault he's so clingy."
Lukey shot upwards, pushing against both of Pangi's thighs. "Hey! Fuck you!"
Laughing, Pangi grabbed his middle, practically dragging Lukey into his lap. "Maybe later."
"That's crazy," slapping his shoulder, Lukey pushed him away, smile gigantic. "You're actually a freak for that."
"You didn't deny-"
"Can you guys shut up, like actually. It's getting annoying," Zam stood up, nudging them until they completely separated. "It's pissing me off."
Laughing, Pangi tugged Lukey off the train with everyone, letting the train station air swirl around before speaking. "Is fucking your boyfriend not allowed anymore?"
Multiple hands started swatting at him. From who? Pangi wasn't sure, it was just motions and yelling that filled his senses. He couldn't stop laughing.
"You're joking."
Struggling to catch his breath, all the air punched out of him, Pangi coughed. "Why is having sex crazy-"
"Pangi," Zam stood in his face, staring dead into his eyes. His was watering, but he could tell how serious Zam was being. "Are you and Lukey actually dating?"
His blood ran cold.
Blinking at her, he struggled to not look around, not look for a distraction, for Lukey. "Uhhh," his heart felt like it was stabbing itself to death.
Zam had an intense emotion to her. It wasn't threatening, but it wasn't comforting either. He gulped, the desperate urge to yell for Lukey's help burning his throat. He doesn't know what he's done, and he's beyond terrified of the outcome.
"We are."
Lukey's voice was stable, or as stable as the average person could hear. Pangi could hear the slight shake, the minute pitch change at the end. He was talking beside his ear, his body heat leaking onto him. He might be imagining it.
"Oh my god," someone muttered, before laughing. "Oh my god!"
Pangi's heart was painfully beating. It felt like he was choking with how fast it went, his brain screaming for any comfort. He wanted to run. He didn't have the subtlety to bite his nails, to hold his boyfriend's hand, to run.
He barely recognized people congratulating them. He barely even noticed being hugged until a familiar form pressed against his side. Lukey held his shoulders, pulling his body closer, squeezing his neck to his face. He was saying something, but Pangi couldn't stop the ringing in his ears.
Lukey pulled him away to a quieter part of the station. He's not sure where everyone was, or how long they'd been gone, but Lukey was just... holding him. It was a simple hug, nothing grand, no giant display of affection, but it meant so much to Pangi.
"It's okay, my love," he whispered, holding him tighter. "I know it wasn't intentional."
Pangi blinked, swallowing down his guilt. "I wasn't thinking-"
"And now I'm thinking for you. You're fine," Lukey held his face in his hands. "And no one is mad at you," he pressed a soft kiss to his lips. "And you're worth every good thing."
Laughing, Pangi shook his head, careful to not disturb Lukey's hands too much. "I wasn't even self deprecating, man."
"Now you definitely can't," Lukey kissed him for longer, softly, sweetly. He was trying to show as much affection as he could without it being obnoxious PDA. "I'm not dating a loser."
"Shut up, man."

in order to unlearn racism u have to be willing to accept that u are racist. it’s not a bad thing to want to change for the better. it’s not a bad thing to say hey, the way i’ve been acting is racist and i don’t want to be racist anymore. when people of color are telling u ways in which u have been racist, it’s actually not cool to brush it off and say, well i didn’t mean it that way.. u actually have to make an effort to stop doing those things if u want to be able to actually say ur anti-racist. u can’t just say ur not racist because u don’t wanna be seen as racist. that’s not how unlearning racism works.

Bit!Lukey talking to someone on the Bitsmp about Lstr!Pangi and he sounds lovesick about it and gets called out for it
Lukey stood against the fish house, picking at his nails. Reya was breaking leftover bamboo, sighing at each stalk she picked up.
"He always wants me to wear a helmet. He thinks I'll die without it."
Reya huffed, throwing the bamboo into the ocean, straightening to look at Lukey. "Is that why you don't wear one?"
He looks up and pretends to think, smiling. "I know it'd annoy him," he chuckles, now watching the plants fall. "He gave me a curse of binding helmet."
"Aww, that's cute," Reya looked at him weird. It wasn't malicious, more like curious, but it made Lukey feel... interesting. She was smiling.
"He's in lifesteal now," thudding his head against the wall, he breathes up into the sky. "I think about how many kills he's got so far."
"What?!"
Open mouthed, Reya rushed over, eyes wild and flashing everywhere. Lukey simply laughed. "That's lifesteal! You kill for hearts!"
"That's crazy!"
"Yeah, well. If you watched Pangi fight, you'd understand," giggling, he closed his eyes. Flashes of blood splattered on cheeks, slashes on his face and arms, flexing, moving. He exhaled. "He's beautiful."
Scrunching her eyebrows, Reya subtly stepped back, judgement floating on her face. "You're a freak."
Snapping up, Lukey flapped his mouth, open and closed. His mind blanked for anything to say. He could only blink at her, his mouth paused for a split moment. "Hey, what the fuck!"
Laughing, Reya covered her mouth, teetering on the edge of her heels. "Someone's in loooove!"
"No- what- that's crazy!"
Humming, she turned back to her yard, picking up bamboo that fell a little bit too far. "Whatever you say..."
