Even if you blame it on ābeing competitiveā wouldnāt you want to be the best of the best? Push yourself to be better and to do better. Youāre competing against yourself at the end of the day.

Choose Your āHardā
A friend and I were chatting about this. Make the āhardā choice. Wake up early. Nourish your body. Move your body. Do the laundry. Wash the dishes.
If you donāt take the āhardā path, then later down the road it may be chosen for you or a different obstacle may pop up. You donāt wake up early? Hitting snooze feels so good. What if thereās unexpected traffic and youāre late to something important to you? That choice was made for you - you missed out on critical moments you wonāt get back.

Challenge: Wake up 20 minutes early every morning and walk a mile (or 20 minutes).
I decided last night that I was going to start getting up early and walking a mile every morning. It was a struggle this morning- I did not want to get up haha- but I finally did it, and it felt GREAT. Literally you feel refreshed and energized- not to mention accomplished!Ā

Wow this is still so powerful and unfortunately true years later
For my advertising class, Iām writing a paper on the Dove Real Beauty campaign, and looking at the research behind it really makes me sad.
Based on the study behind the paperĀ āThe Real Truth About Beauty ā A Global Reportā that surveyed 3200 people from 10 different countries they got this data:
2% of women describe themselves as beautiful
47% of women rate their body weight as ātoo highā
48% of women agreed with the statement āWhen I feel less beautiful, I feel worse about myself in generalā
I absolutely hate that this a thing. I hate that women donāt feel that they are beautiful. I hate that women feel worse about themselves as a result. I hate that the emphasis is on a certain type of woman in order to be perceived asĀ ābeautifulā. Itās all advertising and itās all so wrong. Thereās beauty everywhere and in everyone. And that should be celebrated.
