Update
SoâŠ
This isnât quite the update you guys wanted.
I was trying get back into coding the game, since all my schedule cleared for the week.
But I couldnât find the Twine game files on my laptop. I think the files got lost while I was transferring over my data to my new laptop I bought a month ago.
I have a USB somewhere with all the backup files, but I have not yet been able to find it yet.
Iâm just posting to inform you guys that the update I promised may take a bit more time because of this.
But donât worry! Iâll make sure to return with better content to compensate for the long wait.

Hallo, I hope you are doing well.
Iâm sorry, but are you still working on this If.
I wish you all the best, my dear.
:)
Iâm still working on it. I have all the chapters written, but I just havenât done the coding.
Sorry about my long absence. đ
Iâll post an update soon.

Out of curiosity, I have a question about the more cultural inspired aspects of this story. Is this just generally based off of East Asia?
The names of the ROs and characters are a mix of both Korean and Chinese names and I did a spit take when I realized Li Bai (the Chinese poet) was in the mix! Not to mention the idea of being heaven-born is a legitimate thing in Chinese history (known as the mandate of heaven) that legitimized the rule of the emperors at the time.
I guess you could say itâs a mix of Korean and Chinese cultures.
A large part of Korean history is sort of branched off of Chinese cultures. So there might be overlapping concepts.
And it might also be because Chinese history is more well known that you recognize the Chinese portion more than the Korean variant. I donât really know.
Not all of it is historically accurate of course, since I sort of tweaked it for the sake of plot. But yes, I did base it off both Korean and Chinese concepts.

So in the flashback it seemed, if you picked the flirt options with Do Hyun, that they weren't terribly fond of Yeon. Is this because they are jealous because Yeon grew up with MC? Also who would past romanced Do Hyun get the most upset seeing the MC with in a flirtatious/ romantic sense?
Do Hyun also grew up with the MC. They just met MC maybe 2-3 years after Yeon.
Iâm not sure if this would be considered a spoiler, but that scene or anything relating to that scene probably wonât appear in the story again, so Iâll just elaborate.
In that part, Do Hyun only mentions Yeon if you romance them. Yeon only approaches Do Hyun to tell them if you have feelings for Do Hyun.
Otherwise, Do Hyun âoverhearsâ the servants talking about you. Yeon never approaches them.
Iâd say at that point, Do Hyun isnât quite well in tune with their feelings so the displeasure towards Yeon is partly jealousy (maybe a bit of insecurity), partly hurt because you didnât tell them, and partly frustration towards themselves for not noticing your situation before Yeon did.
Past romanced Do Hyun would probably be the most jealous with Yeon or Haram. If they met Yi Rang, theyâd probably be slightly jealous of them too, but not as much as the other two.
Honestly, Do Hyun is just generally a possessive and jealous person- but they would try not to overstep any boundaries.

Heya!! How are you?
All your stats are wrong, I think? I could be wrong but I can't tell what the percentage is standing for, usually there are two percentages for each side of the stat bar.
I was assuming the red side is for the words on the left and white side is for the words on the right. Yet I noticed my genuine is high, even though i've been sarcastic and shy is high after being bold. so was my assumption wrong?
I had the labels flipped.
I already took a look at it. The red bar was supposed to be for the trait on the right, but I had the labels wrong.
There were some other minor errors that I was informed of, which I also took a look at.
I fixed most of them, but Iâll probably upload the fixed version with the next update.
I might have to go offline again for a while, so Iâm planning to get out a little sneak peak for my other game before I take a break.
Currently busy with college admissions. Please understand >_<

Demo Update

A minor update to the demo.
It contains the prologue, chapter 1, and the first half of chapter 2.
You get to meet all four ROs.
Some tweaks and changes in previous content.
I'd say this is more of a tweak to the game rather than a huge update. There are more content but the story hasn't gotten anywhere close to the main action yet so don't expect much.
Also, I changed the game formatting, so if you have any saves, it might not work.
Anyway, I'd really love to hear about your feelings or any questions about the game so far. Please let me know if there are any grammatical errors or coding errors. Feel free to leave suggestions as well!

Working on my second project to take a break from When the Moon Bleeds! I'll try to post some updates on When the Moon Bleeds whenever I have time. Quite busy currently but hoping to get back into momentum with this new project.
(When the Moon Bleeds is going under a rewrite + revision of coding. It might take some time for new content.)

Itâs the year 3078. Everything is peaceful. No wars, no crimes, no racism, no social hierarchies. Nothing.
The world was at last unified under a single chip, designed to regulate human emotions. Everyone was equal, everyone was content, everyone was happy.
A perfect, ideal world everyone had hoped for.
That's what you thought, too.
That is, until your chip malfunctioned, and you began seeing things you've never seen before.

Customize your MC: name, gender, appearance, personality, and more.
5 romance options (not gender flexible)
Survive the new world you're thrown into
Figure out government mysteries and build relationships
Demo (TBD) | Masterlist | Character Portraits (TBD)

Bailey Cromwell (M) The Boss
The quiet and stern man who found and brought you into your new world. He has a reputation for being stoic and cold, maybe even a bit heartless, but within your new society, he also appears to be highly respected.
And though he exudes an aura as cold as the winter breeze, the warmth you feel whenever his skin grazes against yours reminds you that he is human after all.
Alistair Esplin (F) The Leader
The quiet leader of the unit you've been assigned to. You'd assume she was of the same kind as your new boss had you not seen the subtle, occasional smiles she'd allow on her face.
But her sharp gaze and clear voice, her strong personality that shines through in times of panic makes you question if there are a lot more to her character than she chooses to reveal.
Kieran Argyle (M) The Troublemaker
The sarcastic and often grumpy member of your unit. But not only is he known for his sarcastic personality, he's also notorious for his mischief, causing trouble left and right, leaving more than just a little paperwork for your boss to complete.
Most people dismiss him to be an arrogant prick, but when you see his unconditional loyalty for his teammates, you can't help but wonder whether he'll allow you into his heart as well.
Juno Oshiro (M) The Sunshine
The resident sunshine and puppy of your unit. Even within your new society, he's known to be (and quite loved for) his bright smiles and personality.
As optimistic and outgoing as he is, in those rare moments you catch him by himself, in his moment of vulnerability, you think you can see a myriad of emotions swimming in his usually sparkling eyes.
Naolin Aguilar (F) The Bodyguard
The bodyguard assigned to protect you in missions. She rarely speaks, and the way she carries herself reminds you of a military general. Formal, efficient, and entirely professional.
And though she remains a hard shell to crack, during the rare moments she relaxes, you're allowed into a far expressive side of hers that leaves you curious for more.

Update
Hello!
Sorry I havenât been updating for the past few months.
Iâve been a bit busy. I also have been feeling a bit burnt out regarding this project.
Iâm planning to resume work on this project soon, within the next two months or so, but in the meanwhile, I plan to start another project.
Hopefully this new project will help distribute my motivation evenly so I donât get burnt out like this again and also help me with writerâs block.
Iâve also have been having trouble keeping the balance between including various choices but also not too much that it is overwhelming for me to code, while also keeping the player character separate from my own idea of the main character.
Iâll be back with more content and better quality soon! *^u^*

Oooooh, ok, that makes sense, but now the real question pops in, what our mc's god gonna be like??
The MC at the moment doesnât have a contractor.
I was planning to incorporate it in the game. There will be options between different gods and spirits or to not have a contractor at all.
Depending on which route you decide to take, the available contractors may differ.
But this aspect of the story probably wonât impact the game too much, since thatâd be a lot of coding, and it is subject to change but Iâm hoping to involve it somehow. I think itâd be a nice addition, lore-wise and relationship-wise, if I can find a way to add it in properly.

Soooo, the gods are more like sugar daddys? Uwbxjqoxoejsh
I guess in some ways, you could sort of say that.
But not all gods and spirits really care for their contractors. Some simply contract with a human merely for entertainment, and usually these types of gods/spirits are highly sadistic and take pleasure from watching their contractor beg.
These types usually dispose of their connection/contract with their contractor after getting bored.
Some other gods, however, are very doting and caring, and the more extreme gods may even personally interfere (as much as they can without tipping the balance of the human realm) to keep their contractor from harm.

Honestly, I can't stop thinking of my MC saying "I see you been getting naughty-naughty, I hope sky daddy forgives you đ" just because I know we are an exorcist, and like, kaidbwbwodjwush
Sky daddy (I do not get how you come up with these đ)
On the mention of God, though, I thought I might have to clarify that exorcism in the plot of my story doesnât revolve around Christianity.
There are multiple gods and spirits that an exorcist or a witch can contract to, and these gods/spirits do have a hierarchy.
Most of what decides whether someone can become an exorcist/witch or not doesnât only depend on their heritage, but how in tune they are to the world and how much the gods favor them.

Heyo Hanyeul! I'm glad to know the LIs would help MC peel their fruits! đđ I'm unsure if you've heard of the man cave or she shed (does anyone know the gn version of it?) but how would the LI's caves look like? Where would their caves be located in? What would they be found doing inside their caves if MC were to peek inside?
Iâm not quite familiar with the terms, but Iâm assuming itâs sort of like a safe haven?
Do Hyunâs cave would be like a private library, probably located near/inside their bedroom so they can access it easily. Theyâd most likely be reading or completing their duties. (They likely wouldnât let anyone inside their cave unless theyâre family or a lover that they know they can trust)
Yeonâs cave would probably be like an indoor garden/greenhouse. They like gardening and flowers, and if they like you enough, they may just have a section in their cave specially dedicated for you.
Yi Rangâs cave would be rather smaller. Itâd be like a normal bedroom, but with a lot of pillows and blankets and plushies. They donât really express it often, but they really like cozy, cute stuff, and they get a lot of comfort from creating a little nest with blankets and pillows. They might just let you join them if they feel comfortable enough with you.
Iâd say Haramâs ideal safe haven would be in MCâs arms. But if they did have a cave, itâd be like a separate domain. Theyâre strong enough to create a domain on their own, although thereâs a time limit to how long they can maintain that domain. So instead of lingering out in the world where people are out to hunt them down, Haram would retreat to their domain if they truly needed comfort.
(I was thinking of incorporating something similar in the story for Do Hyun and Haram, so I left some details out in their sections)

Heyo Hanyeul, thanks for answering the previous asks! This might not be relevant to the plot but I need to know who peels the fruits when in a relationship with MC? Peeling grapes and sweet potatoes is a tedious job. đ Would the roles be any different in a platonic relationship? Would the LIs be down for peeling a bucket of grapes if MC gave them one, saying they had sudden craving for it?
Hey! This is an interesting ask, I never really thought about it before.
To be honest, there wouldnât be much of a difference between platonic and romantic relationships, so I wrote a general idea of what theyâd be like.
Do Hyun would peel the fruits if the MC was in a particularly bad mood. Theyâd probably make the cute little shapes (like the little bunny apples) with the fruits to cheer the MC up as well. Otherwise, they would take turns peeling it, and if MC didnât know how to peel fruits, they would teach the MC. Theyâd be the least likely to peel a bucket of grapes, unless the MC was sad or sick.
Yeon would peel the fruits if MC ordered them to. But eventually, theyâd convince the MC to learn to peel fruits on their own, so that they donât have to miss out in the middle of training to peel fruits for the MC. Theyâd be the second most likely to peel grapes, but unless your on their romance route, they probably wonât miss practice for it.
Yi Rang often peels their own fruits along with yours, just because they like making weird shapes out of it. If the MC asked for them to peel a bucket of grapes, theyâd probably make a competition out of it. The one who peels the most fruits win. Theyâd also probably bet something stupid like doing chores for a week or something like that.
Haram would do anything for the MC even on their platonic route. Theyâd feel sort of proud if MC came to them. Theyâd be even more proud if MC complimented them on it. (Theyâre not particularly good at it, but they try.) Theyâd would be the most likely to peel a bucket of grapes, and they wouldâve probably figured out your cravings for it before you even asked.

BRAIDING HARAM'S HAIR
I just had to write a scenario for this one. đ
The room is dark, dimly lit, and Haramâs hair glimmers in the candlelight. Your fingers glide through their soft silky strands.
Haram stays silent as you play with their hair, only a soft hum escaping their lips.
Haram had been the one to request for you to play with their hair, and you werenât about to decline when they pleaded with their best puppy eyes.
You werenât complaining. Their hair felt so soft, simply the act of running your fingers through their hair honestly calmed you.
âI like when you play with my hairâŠâ Haram mumbles softly, breaking the silence. âI like your fingersâŠin my hair.â
âIs that so?â You muse, your fingers deftly creating intricate braids. âIâll have to do this more often then.â
Haram hums in agreement.
A comfortable silence falls upon the two of you again.
It doesnât take too long for you to finish the braid, and you finish it off by tying it with a red silk ribbon.
When you pull back your hands to admire your handiwork, Haram whines.
âWhyâd you stop?â
They turn around to look at you, and once again you find yourself getting lost in their red eyes.
Haramâs eyes reflect nothing but absolute admiration and adoration, and in this moment, under their eyes, you feel like the most important being in this world.
Itâs only when you feel Haramâs cold hand reach for yours that you snap out of your trance. Their white hair was once again loose around their face, and you find the ribbon in Haramâs free hand.
You let Haram lead your hand back to their hair, and slowly they drag your hand down to their face.
They look at you, maintaining eye contact all the while rubbing their cheek into your palm.
A sly yet shy smile appears on their lips, and they press a chaste kiss into your palm.
âCan you braid my hair again?â

Did Do Hyun have feelings for MC before?
It depends.
If you go on their romance route, yes. Do Hyun had strong feelings for MC. Iâll warn you on here that if you want to romance Do Hyun, youâll have to choose at least one of the first two flirt choices that appear in game or else youâll get locked out of their romance.
But even on their platonic route, they did feel rather protective of you.

Heyo Hanyeul, hope you don't mind me popping in again. Incoming angst đ„ In the most distressing and excruciating way possible, what could the MC do to break the LI's hearts? If it happened, would the LIs be able to forgive them if the MC begged for forgiveness?
Assuming this is in like a dating stage, not a marriage stage:
Do Hyun probably would understand if you treat them badly. Though they did have a reason, they still betrayed you previously. However, if you were to hurt their brother, itâll take a while for them to open up to you again. Theyâll probably forgive you if their brother forgives you.
Yeon would feel betrayed if you were to cheat. They are extremely loyal, and to have their trust betrayed like that would be very heartbreaking for them. Theyâd likely forgive you if you begged, but they wouldnât get back into a relationship with you.
Yi Rang would also feel betrayed if you cheated. Theyâre a bit more lenient in the line between cheating and being flirty than Yeon, but I think emotional cheating would hurt them more than a sexual kind. They get more upset at themselves than you, actually. They share their vulnerabilities with you, but to think that you have to seek someone else to achieve comfort makes them wonder if they are truly good enough for you. They would forgive you, and if you were to convince them that they are good enough for you, theyâd give you one more chance.
Haram often puts MC on a pedestal. And they are also very insecure, considering the way theyâve been treated in the past. So they view you as a higher being that canât do anything bad, because youâre the only good thing thatâs ever happened to them. Even if you were to stab them to death or cheat on you, theyâd probably forgive you even if you didnât beg or apologize, thinking that itâs their own fault.
Now if you hurt children, animals, or elderly, all of the ROs would be put off with that. If you were to mistreat those who need protecting, who literally canât do anything to hurt you, how can they trust you in a relationship to not do the same to your own children?
