Superhero having to stop a train by getting in front of it to brace it. Their heels digging into the ground and destroying the track as they get pushed backwards.

They scream from the exertion, arms and legs shaking from the force as they strain to counter it. Until gradually the train slows then comes to a halt.

After a moment they stumble back, panting, desperate to catch their breath. They drop to their hands and knees as the exhaustion takes over, struggling to stay conscious.

When Whumpee and Caretaker regroup or the rewarding moment when the team celebrates having saved the day, defeated Whumper, etc. Only for Whumpee to utter one word that changes everything.

"Caretaker…", they breathe as they stagger forward. Both of them looking down to see Whumpee's shirt soaked in blood. Caretaker's horrified face the only response as they lunge forward to catch a collapsing Whumpee.

They have no choice but to hold on to Whumper out of desperation and pain, as they gasp for breath. The fight slowly pouring out of them while the blood seeps from their abdomen. Whumper slowly lowering them to the ground with a grin.

My Happy Marriage 2x09 | Miyo Crushed and Kiyoka Shot

Miyo is attacked and crushed in order to lure Kiyoka to save her, so that he'll be taken care of and out of the way. He's shot twice :)

Whumpees writhing on the ground when they’ve been wounded. Arching their back with a groan as the pain forces them to take shallow breaths. Their legs kicking and sliding on the floor as they try desperately to escape the agony assaulting them.

Whumpees who were unconscious during rescue and are now being patched up. Only to wake up screaming once Caretaker pours that first bit of antiseptic on their wound. Writhing and kicking as the rest of their friends struggle to calm them and hold them still.

Unconscious Whumpee waking up with a grimace and muttering a breathy, "W-what are you… what are you doing?" Before everything goes hazy again.

Whether they're speaking to a reassuring Caretaker, dressing their wounds. A Whumper who's giving them another dose of a sedative. Or a stranger who found them and is moving them to safety.

Whumpee is either met with more pain, or they fall further into the darkness.

Whumpee chained to a post outside by Whumper in front of their crew — to be made an example of. Hands taut behind them, chains around their neck and waist, feet shackled. In nothing but their undergarments.

Now Caretaker who’s undercover within Whumper’s group, has no choice but to watch from a distance as their Whumpee suffers through a long cold night of wind and rain.

Whumpee being semiconscious, only able to manage a groan as their head falls back against Caretaker’s shoulder.
