Qifrey

There isn't much he can do considering that he's a witch, but it doesn't mean he won't at least try to take care of you!

He does scold you lightly if it were due to something he warned you of previously, as he tends to be a mother hen at times

He values your comfort a lot during this time, so expect him to constantly be at your side asking if you're alright or if you'd like him to fetch something for you

He lets his culinary side shine just for you, making you warm meals or soups to ease your suffering

Makes you soup and tea to keep you fed and hydrated, but also to help with any congestion you may have

More often than not is checking your forehead with the back of his hand, even if you don't have a fever

If you did have one, however, he'd use his water spells to helps cool you down

Affection is something he'll miss during this time. To sate this yearning, he opts to lightly pats the top of your head in order to avoid getting sick as well

If your sickness escalates to a worrying degree, he'll take you to the medical spire in no time. There are boundaries between what Witches can't do and what Unknowings can, and the last thing he wants is for this to become serious

But know that he'll be by your side as much as he can, along with his apprentices on occasion when they're not studying

Sure, she does feel guilt for having you in the painted world and always reminds you that you needn't waste the rest of your days there, the way you adamantly deny her suggestions does warm her heart, if but the slightest in the cold. For once, she's appreciative of your stubbornness.

Eileen is much like a crow herself, to be honest. That much is known to you when she goes off on her hunts all night, only to come back with a small trinkets or useful items just for you.

Pinocchio

Still doesn't really understand human emotion, but he is trying!

At the beginning, he'd be really stiff, likely not even moving to hold you back, opting to just wait until you were done

That is until he learned more from other people's feelings throughout his journey... and after receiving an earful from Gemini

Soon, he'll start to hold you back, albiet very gently as to not accidentally hurt you

And even sooner, he'll start to crave your touch, finally understanding how good it feels to receive it, as he feels a strange warmth everytime you give it

He'd also give some of his token of affection at times, though the main ones he does know are gentle caresses due to petting Spring, so you'll just be pet like a cat the majority of the time

P is a very observant puppet, especially to your reactions, so he likes to take the cold of his metal arm and touch it to the warmth of your skin just for fun

It truly amuses him everytime to see you squeal at the feeling

Romeo

Honestly? He thinks it's quite cute

Not only that, but he'd welcome this little habit of yours with open arms! Quite literally, haha

I'm sure he had become acquainted with such a thing with Carlo, most likely because he needed to comfort his best friend rather than for showing his affection

Romeo would go straight to thinking the worst had happened and would ask what was wrong, that is until you tell him the purpose of your actions

After becoming the king of puppets, he'd learn to enjoy this much more, wanting to find his own comfort in someone, just as he had done so for Carlo

As the king of puppets, he's gets really gentle with you, which is really obvious compared to how he treated you back when he was alive

Whereas before, you would get tight, warm, even playful embraces from him— never wanting to let you go from his grasp; you now get cold, loose arms to wrap around you, almost as if he's afraid to hurt you

When he gets more confident that you won't immediately die in his hold, he does share his affections with you even whilst in the big puppet form of his

Like holding you up in his hands like you're a small doll as he softly smiles behind the big puppet suit. No matter his form, you'll always be cute in his eyes

Alidoro

Incredibly adamant that he does not enjoy any physical affection of the sort. I mean, you could ruin his outfit or the treasures he has! Can't risk it!

However, it just turns out he's very touch starved

Kind of expected from his past, really. His attitude that he lets slip out at times doesn't help either

He doesn't want you teasing him about this, nor tell anyone else, so he tells you to keep your distance

But if you promise to keep your affections private, he'll allow it

Reluctantly

He's really not used to this, so it'll take some time to get used to, but even then, he still values his personal space at times

Very rarely will he reciprocate it

When he does, however, it accidentally comes out a bit rough and awkward. Like a tight side hug with a couple of pats on the shoulder before he lightly pushes you away

Will he ever get better at showing his affection? Yes... once he finally allows himself to learn from your affections, haha!

Sam Porter Bridges

Sam isn't one to want to interact other porters, he's just there to get the job done, nothing more

You two just coincidentally met at the same location when completing your orders

And then it happened again. And again... and again. That was when you just had to get to know eachother, you of course starting the conversations, which then lead you two to become friends after a good while

Sam is always looking out for you, telling you to take breaks when you need and telling you to watch out for the MULEs during your deliveries, wouldn't want you to get DDS or getting your things stolen

If he finds an area that was hard to traverse or has a lot of timefall, he'll put up upcoming warning signs or, if he's got the time, build timefall shelters with you in mind

In his opinion, he doesn't think you should be a porter, but that's just his worried self talking

'This job is too dangerous, you shouldn't waste your life on something like this', is something that runs through his mind when he thinks about you, but he knows you're fully capable of handling yourself out there, as much as he hates to admit it

Would he confess to you? Most likely not, unfortunately

Sam is more of a lone wolf type of guy with all he's been through, so not only does he prefer to keep it that way for those reasons, but he doesn't want to ruin the already existing relationship between you two

Sam fears losing you, both to death and if you were to end your friendship

So if keeping the good friendship he has with you comes at the cost of the two of you not developing into something more, then so be it

Let's just hope it's you who confesses for him

Higgs Monaghan

Unknowing enemies to lovers lol

In all honesty, he only took interest when he saw you frequently talk to Sam while delivering

And he knows Sam of all people wouldn't have a friend, I mean come on! Why would anyone want to talk to him?

So what was with you? He couldn't get it off of his mind, and he didn't want to admit he was jealous that Sam got the attention of someone who genuinely liked being around him and he didn't

And so he made it his duty to take your attention off of Sam and onto him instead, as he can't stand Sam of all people having something he doesn't

It doesn't take long for him to thinking of you romantically, with all the stalking he's done on you

You're his new pizza delivery person from now on, get ready to have your email spammed by a certain 'Peter Englert'

Look, he already likes to mess with Sam on his deliveries, do you really think you'll be any different?

Though, it won't be done by the same hate he has for Sam, rather, he does it out of his own enjoyment of watching you struggle with deliveries

He'll even go as far as to mess with you while you're delivering his orders, but not too much since he still cares about his pizza

But if you manage to deliver his things on time and in good condition, he'll be sure 'Peter' gives you many compliments on your delivery, ever so grateful for your effort

So basically, during your time as a porter, you'll be shown both his "good" and "bad" sides without even knowing they're the same person

If he ever decided on trying to confess to you, he wouldn't say it outright, deeming it a bit too "cliché" for his tastes. Instead, he would write for you in one of his emails (or in all of them until you finally realize lol) a secret message for you to decipher on your own

Which is just him spelling out something like 'I like you' or 'ur hot' with the first letters of his sentences. Nothing too complex, but also enough to let that nerdy side of him out

『S/O with High Level DOOMs』

Request: Can you maybe do Headcannons for a reader with high level DOOMS? Like sometimes just forgetting that (other then higgs) their S/O doesn't have DOOMS like they do? Not in like a dangerous situation but more like teleporting behind them and scaring them accidentally. How would they react and so on with things that just come with being a high level?

Sam Porter Bridges

You'll scare the hell outta him if you teleport without letting him know about it, but with how reticent he is, you probably wouldn't notice

He only knows a handful of people who have DOOMs and only two can teleport, it's rare for him to see one who can. Can't blame him for getting a little alarmed

He is more than happy to pass you some spare cryptobiotes in the case you getting tired from teleporting. You clearly need them more than he does

He will get a little worried once you tell him you're at a high level, with all the repercussions it has, but other than that, he won't dwell on it too much

Sam isn't very good at dealing with emotional problems, but he is a good listener. If you need an ear to talk to about those nightmares, he'll stay quietly at your side. Sometimes he'll say some things that Amelie told him to make him feel better, hoping they'll help you too

He'd rather you not resort to any sort of violence unless it's self defense; there's no need for it. But hey, if you really wanna let off some steam, you should do it to the MULEs or something to clear the area for future porters. Do some good with it at least, right?

Higgs Monaghan

Half of him is excited to see you at a higher level like he is, the other half wants to show his superiority to you in every way

Sure, you can teleport like he can, but can you control BTs? Nuh uh, didn't think so

So yeah, with the many times he tries to brush aside your dooms abilities as less than par (compared to him), he's totally forgotten at least once

But after the first scare, you wont get him again! That's a promise!

With nightmares however, he may not understand your fear in them, seeing as he's already accepted mass extinction. He'll probably just tell you to go back to sleep without any thought

But if he sees you really shook from it, he'll at least try to comfort you, but it'll end up seeming really half-assed; he's just not used to cheering people up

Higgs isn't gonna be the one to dissuade you from any violent urges you may experience with DOOMs, in fact he's going to fuel the fire and encourage you to act upon these thoughts. Only thing he draws the line at is you hurting yourself

Cliff Unger

I would not advise trying to scare him with your teleporting because you WILL get put to the ground

He wasn't an army captain for no reason, his reflexes undoubtedly prove that

But with how tired you get from doing that, Cliff strongly advises you to not use it so often, especially if it's for your own pleasure of getting a reaction out of him

You having DOOMs fascinates him, he'd love to learn more if you're willing to tell him about it

He can empathize to an extent on the nightmares you receive from this condition, having had plenty of his own in the past, he'll do his best to try to comfort you during the bad ones, rubbing your back and whispering soft affirmations to you

He knows he doesn't have to, but he likes to wipe away your chiral tears

Cliff doesn't want you following the same path of destruction he's gone to, so he'll keep on eye out in any changes in your behavior so that he can help in any way he can

It goes without saying that Sam is more comfortable with doing things for you to show his affection compared to obvious things like physical affection or quality time. He's just either too busy making deliveries, having accidental run ins with BTs, or being absolutely exhausted by the end of the day. His phobia doesn't help at all with trying to get his love through, so, at the very least, he'll try to do things that'll make you happy.

So before going out to take orders, he asks you if there's anything you'd like him to pick up for you. Even if you don't want anything, he may still bring you home little trinkets that remind him of you.

Higgs Monaghan

Physical Touch

Anyone who's ever met Higgs knows he's really big on getting in other people's personal space, and you're no acception. Arms around your shoulders and waist are common with him, a sign to show others who you belong to.

And while it is fueled by his grandiosity, it's also from being incredibly touch starved, as he's never had someone who's shown him genuine love/ to show his love to. It'll take some time getting used to receiving such affection, as half of him believes it to be insincere and the other half wanting more. In the end you just have to be patient with him on this.

Quality Time

Time is something Cliff always runs short of, as being a Captain of the U.S. Special Forces is bound to bring up new missions right after another. You respect the duty he serves to the country and understand when he has to travel away to do so, just so long as he comes back alive.

He knows you miss him just as much as he misses you, so everytime he's allowed his time off from duty, it's entirely spent with you. Even if you're just lazing around the house doing nothing, he'd rather be doing that 'nothing' with you than doing 'something' with someone else.

Your height doesn't matter to him, it's not something you can control and he understands that

...Is what he wants to say-

As much as he denies and denies it, he'll always hold a soft spot for that feature of you

But don't get me wrong, it's not like he babies you, he knows you can handle yourself with most things

But he can't help himself but feel at least a little more protective of you

He doesn't want you accidentally getting yourself hurt over this, so he always tries to help you out with things when he can

Especially with carrying heavy objects. It's really no biggie for him, being a porter and all

(Please let him, it gives him peace of mind)

Okay okay hear me out, Sam is a little silly sometimes, and during those 'sometimes', he tends let's his intrusive thoughts out

What I'm trying to say is that he's definitely tried throwing his cap on your head just for fun

He's quirky, gotta love it

Higgs Monaghan

I'm so sorry

He's gonna bully the living hell out of you for it, it's just so hilarious to him

Calls you names like 'short stuff' or 'lowrider' whenever he gets the chance

He will also purposely put things that he knows you commonly use on a higher shelf

Which ends up to be a win for him no matter what you choose to do about it

If you choose to climb over things and get it yourself, he'll get to see how silly you look while doing so, letting out a laugh here n' there

And if you ask him to get it, well, he gets the satisfaction of having you depend on him

Your height also fuels his ego quite a bit, seeing as he can easily just tower over you

His teasing is subject to change depending on his mood; sometimes they're done in a playful manner or purely to make fun of you

Either you get that or you get his teasing teasing

The type of teasing where he roughly grabs you by the jaw and forces you to look up at him, saying something along the lines of "My eyes are up here hun."

Yeah, being short does not excuse him from being rough or mean with you, that'll always stay the same. In fact, it may have given him even more chances to mess with you

Cliff Unger

He loves your height difference and always makes it known to you

Not with nicknames, no, but it is shown through his physical affection

Like during hugs, he places his chin atop your head, holding your body close

Or greeting you with forehead kisses so that you guys won't have to strain your necks to reach eachother

But of course, he will bend down if you want

He's totally still gonna want to teach you how to dance, as it's something he's passionate about

Lemme just say, he loves hugging your smaller form from behind when you two are in bed, since you're easy to hold

And unlike Higgs, Cliff is a gentleman with you, and is more than happy to help you with things you can't reach, whether it be by carrying you or getting it himself

That being said, even though he likes carrying you, he won't actually wont do it often! He doesn't want to spoil you with them, so you'll only get them occasionally

He's honestly the complete opposite to Higgs in this aspect, Cliff loves you and wants you to know it no matter what
