There a lot of posts out there that talk about how readers wish that Rick would have explored a deep emotional bond between two characters, or shown development in a different way, or dived deeper into the extreme trauma of all the characters. .. but I think we forget sometimes that these series are for children. Of course they’re gonna be lighthearted and silly and focused on a happily-ever-after instead of a nightmare that would be more realistic.
