Where Have All the WordPress Themes Gone?

They’ve been deleted I’m afraid.   All the themes on this site were paid for by specific sponsors who in return had small footer links placed discretely in the theme.  However, Google recently released an update to their algorithm which penalized such links.  The net effect was that every time a theme was used then the sponsor's site would now more likely receive a penalty rather than a benefit from the link.  I’ve left a few pages up but in reality, this site will probably be retired soon as it’s the reason for being no longer exists.

You will surely see that many other free Wordpress theme sites closing their doors soon – at least when they realize the negative impact on their promoted sites.   So if you’re after a free Wordpress theme – I’d grab one soon.  I am speaking to developers to see if there can be a solution – perhaps some randomization of anchor text but it’s not looking likely at the moment.
