co-worker!eunseok x f!reader
𝜗𝜚 : actually this is a scenario i’ve been thinking for sangwoo :)) but then… what if it’s eunseok? hmm (i didn’t know where i was going with this honestly)
◟ smoking (sorry) , timid / socially anxious reader , respected senior eunseok , casual / lowkey flirting but not actually , unspoken tension , mutual pining (?) , lowercase intended
you regretted accepting the invite to this company party. everyone seems to be having the time of their lives, except you. well, you’ve never been the type to find socializing events—eventful, so it’s not surprising how you felt uncomfortable being there. but you also blame the amount of alcohol they induced you too.
you let out a big sigh getting out of the enclosed space. sitting in the dark at a corner, absentmindedly looking out. you finally feel the breeze; being present at the moment. now, i can sober up.
not long after, a sound broke the stillness, you hear the door creak open—there’s a figure, in a haste, and a face you recognize well: mr. song.
he didn’t notice you. so you went still, watching him on the side. he loosened up his necktie. his hand reached for his pocket, a cigarette and lighter. with such ease and hurry, he lit it up, took a long puff, then blew the smoke out to the side. that’s when his eyes caught you sitting at the corner. you quickly straightened. he is slightly taken aback by your presence, as he lightly coughs, smoke coming out from his nose and mouth, and you see a slight grin on his lips. his full attention on you afterwards.
“woah, i didn’t see you there, yn.” he softly chuckle. still recovering from the shock. “i’m sorry, mr. song, if i scared you.” you don’t know what to do. you are with ‘the’ mr. song right now. ever since you started at the company, you’ve heard numerous talk from the employees about him: how dedicated, hardworking he is—and of course, how popular he is from the ladies at work. a household name of the company, for sure. and you have seen how he lived up to those expectations about him—even though he may appear cold and distant, that just adds to the sophistication of his persona. that’s why he seems so high up; you feel the difference. despite being in the open, his presence never failed to fill the space.
“no worries. you didn’t, at all.” his voice: smooth and soothing. it has an odd effect of assurance, the way he simply dismissed it. “you can also drop the formalities. just call me by my name.” and he’s not as distant as you thought he would be. he may give off that energy but it’s not intimidating—just slightly overwhelming. there was hesitation, “okay… eunseok.” he nods at your response. “there you go.”
slowly his usual expression returned: blank—like it always is. his face never gives a hint of what’s in his mind. you always wonder. cute, eunseok thought to himself.
the smell of the smoke lingering in the air. “oh, i forgot to ask. do you mind?” lifting the cigarette in between his fingers. in an instant, “no. not at all!” actually, you didn’t expect him to smoke. it’s out of character, but you get it.
silence filled the air. fiddling with your hands. should i say something?—“is everything alright back in there?” tilting his head to face you. caught you off guard, “yeah… i just need some fresh air, trying to sober up.” you didn’t expect him to say anything to you. he hummed in response, “i saw. they were relentlessly giving you drinks. i should have stopped them.” the last sentence came out low and unexpected. was he paying attention to you? you turned to look at his expression: nothing. looking straight ahead, exhaling smoke to the air, and flicking off the ember of the cig. am i drunk? maybe you heard it wrong, so you didn’t mind it.
returning the question, “how about you, eunseok?” his name, still unfamiliar rolling out your tongue. his gaze meets yours. even in the dim light, his eyes are as alluring—not a sight you usually get a glimpse at. “just taking a short break too.” raising his hand, holding the cig, motioning it. you nod, and break off the gaze—afraid—it might be too much like a fire; dangerous as you get closer to it.
the wind got cold. eunseok noticed you clutched your shoulders together. you just watched him as he took his last puff before dropping the stick and putting it out with his shoes. red embers slowly fading. he nudged his head to the side, “let’s go. it’s getting colder here. i don’t want to leave you here alone.” so casual, yet the mere action gave you chills—even more than the cool breeze hitting your skin. you nod lightly at his command.
slowly closing the distance. his cologne overpowered the smell of the cigarette. he was staring. eunseok got a good look at your face: flushed cheeks and glossy eyes—looking so delicate it switched a response in him, as he hardly contains the urge to hold your face from the sight. but he kept his composure. not right now. he waits until you’re in front of him before he follows right beside you.
the silence felt different—the kind that feels electric and alive. no one dared to take that initiative. you stopped at your track near the entrance; taking a deep breath. the loud music filling the surrounding, distracting you from your thoughts. your breath hitched—he leaned in—you felt his breath near your ear, “don’t worry, i’ll make sure they don’t give you more drinks.” you turned to glance at him. faces a few inches away. he puts his hands at your lower back, warm palm, nudging you forward. your knees buckled at the touch, “come on, you’ll be fine. just stick with me, yeah?” with the softest tone, and gives you a reassuring grin.

brother’sbandmate!eunseok x reader
𝜗𝜚 : just a short drabble hehe. i love it when there is unspoken tension. first time posting here!
booming vibrations crept to your chest; sounds coming from the garage. there they go again. your brother’s band starting their session for the day, interrupting your train of thought. not today. please. it’s the finals next week—plus it’s a saturday morning! don’t they have school and shit to do? they’ve been at it for two weeks now. who knows what they are practicing for, you couldn’t be bothered to ask your brother. but one thing is for sure, they are not going to terrorize you today, not when you have multiple powerpoints to go over, and assignments to submit.
stomps of your feet drown from the loud playing behind the door you are facing. you stopped for a moment, calming your senses, sohee…i swear if you pull a ‘just another set’ excuse. you were sure your eardrums almost burst walking into that hellhole. basically screaming now, “sohee, can you guys not do this today, it’s the weekend right? get some rest and give me some rest, my finals is coming, i have a lot of shit to do!” that came out in one breath. he looked puzzled meeting your annoyed eyes. “what? no way! don’t you know we have an upcoming gig on monday? we have to rehearse.” the rest of the band abruptly stopped—a certain gaze caught your peripheral—but then your brother blocked your view ahead. not as calmly anymore, “how’s that my problem. go somewhere else where i can’t hear your noise!” you didn’t mean to be rude; it must have been the pent up frustration over the two weeks you endured. then their guitarist—wonbin, chimed in, “we had revisions to practice, yn. please, just today?” anton, simply smiled to appease, still holding on to his bass guitar. “no–“ you got cut off by a voice you rarely ever hear.
like a cold wind blowing, his presence suddenly becoming known. “we’re sorry for inconveniencing you. but we really need to finalize our performance today. just let us do one more set, hmm?” he got up; his hands still holding the sticks. eunseok has never been this forward—to you at least. blinking your eyes, mouth slightly agape, all you can let out was a small huff. “is that a yes?” you notice a slight tug at his mouth. a smirk. you panicked. get me out of here. “y-you owe me one, sohee.” quickly diverting your attention from eunseok, his gaze making you self-conscious. you stood there for an embarrassing moment—your brain short-circuited before storming out there. what was that?
his eyes followed your hurried frame, as he let out a light chuckle—amused by your flustered reaction. eunseok has never really noticed you before this, you have always been sohee’s younger sister to him, nothing beyond that. “don’t mind my sister, she’s grumpy all the time.” waving his hand loosely like he is used to it. shared worries of anton and wonbin flew behind eunseok’s head. “what’s her name again?” your brother eyed eunseok from the question, he has never asked anything about you before, but he tried to joke it off, not wanting to make it weird, “bro, my sister’s off limits. don’t start it.” his tone indifferent but there’s a hint of reminder. eunseok simply shrugged his shoulders, finding sohee’s warning absurd. of course, he know, he will never…
