Recorded in Rudy’s parents living room! How bout that? Van Gelder was an early experimenter with mic dynamics, room sound, etc., and set up a great recording space in his folks living room of all places... It became THE SPOT and Prestige loved the sound. And so a living room in Hackensack saw some jazz history being made.
