Denki Mystery Design Roughs

This is the process of deciding on the character design for Denki Mystery. Toshio’s face underwent detailed adjustments, right down to the direction of the slant of his eyes. On the other hand, Chorosuke, who is not here, was decided in one shot.

Mod Notes:

Ozo’s initial clothes seem to be more in line with a traditional Japanese Taxi driver’s uniform. His hairstyle has been the same with comb over bangs, but his soft hair swapped with Hajime’s sharp hair at some point.

Karatsugu initially had a different shirt, a light blue button up with the sleeves rolled up, this was swapped for his black polo in the final design.

Hajime went through the most changes. His sharp hair was swapped with Ozo’s fluffy hair at some point. His wardrobe consisted of a straw hat, circle rimmed glasses, a shirt pocket and a wristwatch at some point. His eyebrows hasn’t been finalized and at some point was short and sparse like the eyebrows he has in the anime, the final product has him with regular eyebrows. Hajime’s round rimless glasses are later reused for his father’s design

Toshio’s hairstyle had a minor change at one point. And true to the comment from the designers, His face went through multiple changes.

Takashi’s only concept sketch is him without his personal effects, his hat and his beads.

Blog Update

hello! It’s been a while since I updated this blog and I noticed I keep gaining followers despite this. I really appreciate the interest but I wanted to let everyone know that don’t think I’m going to make this blog active again and I wanted to make an official post about it.

I’ll leave this up for archival purposes but until further notice: this blog is dead. Thank you all for the nice memories in this fandom! I hope everyone has a great year!

 “In IT/ IT The End. When You See It, It’s Over.”, the main characters are the Losers Club, a group of friends of 6 men and 1 woman. “Osomatsu-san" is where the scummy NEET sextuplets and Totoko are drawn, so are they the exact representative of the Losers Club in Japan?

“As well, it’s Studio Pierrot that makes "Osomatsu-san”. “A special collaboration of both works, which have many miracles in common, has been realized.”

“It seems that the Matsuno family sextuplets and Totoko lost their way into the world of “IT”!?”

“And in the hands of IT lies the figure of Chibita who has already been captured!”

“A special collaboration movie is also in production now! Please look forward to the release!”

IT part 2, known in Japan as “IT The End. When You See It, It’s Over.”, will be released in theaters November 1st there.

Note that they don’t specify if the collaboration movie is a trailer for the project (like the Sanriomatsu one and some others had), animated shorts, or anything like an OVA. Please wait for details and don’t jump to conclusions just yet. Let’s…see how this all plays out.

A new 4-star unit has been announced! It’s an Iyami unit this time, coming from episode 2.18, we have Iyami Alone in the Wind. Featuring Kiku, of course!

Some good wholesome content we can all enjoy 🌸

This unit will release into the gacha after maintenance ends on September 6th around 18:00 JST.

The next 4-star set has been announced, and it’s the third and final set from the Band campaign! 

This time they’re in sci-fi gear to record their latest music video – I guess “Akatsuka Rocket” is the name of their latest single? As well as the name of the set, of course.

This set will be released in the gacha after maintenance ends on August 9th around 18:00 JST!

The next 4-star set has been announced, and with it we will have the return of the fan-favorite Musical boys!

They will be attending a party held at a classmate’s mansion, and they have big plans to strike it rich by playing a treasure hunt game. However, judging from the fact that this set is titled “Dark Past 2″ I don’t think things will go very well for them…

By the way, this is the order they went up on Twitter for whatever reason, so that’s how I’m posting them too. Why not. EDIT: It’s because their attacks are related, in chronological order from Todomatsu to Osomatsu!

This set will release into the gacha after maintenance ends on August 23rd around 18:00 JST.

The next 4-star set has been announced and it’s time for part two of the summer band sets! This one is aptly called the Band (feat. Matsuzo) set!

Dad is here joining in on the action while the boys all try out something different. Feel free to argue about which duet did it best.
