I'm going to have to be very careful about articulating this, but I believe this is an expression of extreme transphobia disguised as an accusation of racism against a 'white queer.' and I want everyone to take note of it.

Like, she is working overtime to give the impression that she is lambasting white queerness, when if you read between the lines, that simply isn't what's happening. There are assumptions baked into this post that are harmful to trans people of all kinds, even if you set aside my white feelings for a second, just look at that 3rd paragraph. "Their identity is a performance" doesn't just implicate me, it implicates my trans black friends who, under this worldview, cannot have any intersecting experiences between their queerness and their race. They are oppressed *only* because of their race, and it follows that any white person speaking about their own experience is just making stuff up from nothing. It's really slick, inserting virulent and unapologetic trans-misogynoir directly into what looks and feels like an epic dunk on an ignorant white.

Please do not misconstrue, I'm not upset on behalf of "white queers," I learned to shut up about ~reverse racism~ when I was 15. describing queer identity as a "performance" is simply far bigger of a claim than you believe it to be.
