Hello Tumblr, I figured it was about time for my random fit of digging through the past :)

I started this lil Tumblr blog back in 2011 so it’s almost been a whole decade, and that’s crazy to think about. Life has changed so much and logging in tonight makes me sad to see more and more of my once good internet friends’ accounts have been abandoned/deactivated.

I’m now 23, about to (finally) graduate college, and it’s crazy to me that I even made it this far 😅

For my dudes who were around back in 2011-2014 (aka my prime blogging years), I just wanted to update you that I’m no longer a Sad Tumblr Girl™️. I still get sad from time to time, but it no longer consumes me or defines me. 

I’ve learned a lot. I work out regularly. I’ve unintentionally become almost-vegetarian. I have a few good friends that I’m so glad to have. I still keep a snap streak with my best friend since the beginning. I’m so close to landing the job of my dreams. I’ve been dating an amazing man for almost 5 years now and we’re still very much in love. We’ll be moving in together following my graduation 😊

So I guess for anyone reading through this long post, whether you knew me in high school or you’re just struggling through your teen years yourself, it actually does get better. It’s basically impossible to see it at the time but just hold on, there’s so much more to life than what you endure in the first 18 years 💫

We’re having a Valentine’s Day card box decorating contest at work... I saw the opportunity to build a spaceship, and I took it. 🛸💕🐄 (at Michaels)

Dude this is still so IMPORTANT. A few years ago I wasn’t even formally dating a guy yet and he was trying to convince me to transfer to a university that didn’t have the major I wanted to study, just because he went there. After that I ended up dating a guy that said he never read Harry Potter because it was too hard for him. Dude was like 22. When I broke up with him he continued to harass me by saying I thought I was better than him.

Fast forward to 2018 and I’ve been dating my soulmate for about 2.5 years now. He supported me 100% when I thought about transferring to a university 90 minutes away because they had one of the top programs in the country. If I had still been with any of those other guys, I wouldn’t be where I am right now (At that university, fuckin SLAYING my undergraduate program).

Point of my story: listen to this internet post. Don’t let anyone hold you back from what you want to do. Live your best life

I dated a guy in college that didn’t want me to talk to him about what I learned in class because he said it made him feel stupid. I dated another guy who told me that he could see me as a lawyer but that id be happier having his children. I dated another guy who said that I thought i was better than he was because I made more money than he did. I have dated a bunch of weak ass men that wanted nothing more than to make me feel bad for my choices And I dropped them all. And when you drop that kind of dead weight you feel free. Trust me TRUST me

Going into my 4th semester at Kent and considering adding a second minor... yeah this schedule has evolved a lot

Still pretty hype about this spreadsheet I made last night. I’m ready to figure out what’s left to do for my second degree 🎓 (at Kent State University)

I’m pretty sure this is the first time I’ve logged into my tumblr account in at least two years (going based off the fact that my bio still says I’m 19 lol).
