CHASE MOORE - "WORST NIGHTMARE" (feat. ONLYONE & ILLMACULATE)

CHUUWEE - "CROWN ME KING"

After weeks of buildup Chuuwee and Amalgam Digital have finally dropped the much anticipated mixtape, Crown Me King.  Seventeen tracks of that good, Sacramento rap, featuring guest spots from Mean Doe Green, Hopie, Abstract Ninjaa, among others.

COPYRIGHT CRIMINALS (FRANZEN & MCLEOD, 2010)

Sampling has been an essential element of hip hop music since its inception (see: Rapper's Delight/Good Times).  This documentary film, released in 2010, examines sampling through both a creative and commercial lens- discussing the legalities of the technique and attempting to answer the question of whether sampling is a legitimate art form or lazy theft.  The film features appearances from hip hop luminaries such as Pete Rock, De La Soul, & DJ Q-Bert, all of whom rely heavily on sampling in their work, as well artists whose work as heavily been sampled like George Clinton & Clyde Stubblefield.

ERICK LEE - "BACKSTAGE PASS: BLACK MILK'S CLAPS & SLAPS TOUR EPISODE 1"

Director Erick Lee teamed up with Flud Watches to document Detroit emcee/producer Black Milk's recent "Claps & Slaps" tour with J.Pinder and ADd+.  In the first episode of the three part series, Black Milk waxes poetic about his music, growing up in Detroit, among other things.

HOMEBOY SANDMAN - "HOLD YOUR HEAD"

Stones Throw just dropped off the latest visuals for Homeboy Sandman's "Hold Your Head" (prod. by Navie D) off the Chimera EP.  The 6 track EP, released last week, has an unofficial bonus track, "Chimera Out Now", which can be grabbed here.  The video was directed by Mac Smullen and shot by Max Blecker.

HOPIE - DISCONNECTED

A few weeks ago, Hopie hit the YouTube to drop this short video over RJD2's "Disconnected", from the album Magnificent City.  Vowing to drop the studio version of her 40 bars after the video reached 2,000 views, she blesses us this week with the studio track AND the vox for producers that want to take their hand at remixing the joint.
