The worst part about withdrawing from people during a depression/stress/anxious period is when it finally passes, and now you're responding to all your friends texts weeks later (or even months). It makes me feel like a bad friend, or like a deadbeat dad suddenly trying to come back into your life 😔

Ppl on this website be like "when someone says they're joining/been in the military I lose all respect and instantly hate them 🫶."
Like damn did we forget that military recruiters target vulnerable groups (kids/teens, poor people). Unless someone tells you their reason, why wouldn't you hold judgment bc you don't know if they were convinced the military is the only way to pay for college, or if they were in an abusive situation and thought joining is the only way they could get away like????? Come on now.
#i saw a post that irritated me so I'm venting here#my brother in star-spangled banner the military starts talking to us in elementary and really hammer down when we're in middle school#that's like saying you hate someone for being vulnerable enough to get recruited into a cult#maybe it's bc i know so many poor ppl that felt like they had no way out and exmilitary that don't idolize it that makes me non judgemental#but whatever Tumblr users are gonna be tunblr users 😪
