Before and After💔
please help me and family 💔
We are from the Gaza Strip, which suffers from wars. I lived through 5 of these wars, and I lost my eyes and fingers hand , and my other eye was damaged. These were the previous wars until this 2023 war came and destroyed everything from my home and my workplace

Imagine spending the night under relentless bombing, unsure if you or your children will see the morning light. Imagine being told to flee—again—not knowing where safety lies.

Images: (Top) Hossam and his daughter Diana (Middle) Map of the evacuation notice given to about 80% of Khan Yunis residents (Bottom) A close up map of the evacuation area. Hossam's family is in square #111.
@naimq
Story written by @rumiandroses
Hossam Al-Qazzaz, his wife Hanan, and their four young children, are among the 80% of Khan Younis residents now ordered to evacuate toward the coast.
They are currently in Square 111, a region dangerously close to the so-called "evacuation zones" that are actively being bombed.
Hossam has shared that their area is expected to be targeted next—and they fear that when the next order comes, they will be forced to flee into even deadlier zones.
Last night (05/18/2025) was horrific. “We never imagined that we would be alive in the morning,” Hossam wrote. Now, with communications at risk of being cut off, Hossam has asked the world to share his message and pray for his family’s survival.
His hope is to find a path to safety, to protect his loved ones, and to stay alive long enough to rebuild.
Please, share this post, pray for Hossam and his family, and consider donating if you can, so that this precious family can continue to survive.
You can donate to Hossam's GoFundMe here:
Hossam's campaign has been vetted by @gazavetters and is (#287) on their list of verified campaigns.

🌍✨ A Voice from Gaza: Fighting for Hope ❤️🩹
Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.
This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. Every day, I carry the weight of their loss, but I also carry their spirit, which gives me the strength to keep going.

Our Journey So Far
When I first reached out, I couldn’t have imagined we’d make it this far. Your support has been a light in these difficult times, and we are so deeply grateful for every single contribution.
But the road ahead is still challenging. Every day, we’re reminded of how much we’ve lost and how much we still need to rebuild.
Here’s what life in Gaza looks like for my family right now:
🏠 Safety: The uncertainty of tomorrow weighs heavily on us.
😢 Loss: The absence of the 25 family members we’ve lost is a pain we carry every moment.
💔 Dreams on Hold: The future feels so far away when survival takes all our strength.
How You Can Help Us Cross the Finish Line Even the smallest act of kindness can make a difference:
$5 may seem small, but for us, it’s a little relief, a moment of comfort, and a reminder that kindness still exists. ❤️
Can’t donate? Reblog this post to help us reach someone who can. Every share matters more than you know.
✅️ Vetted by @gazavetters ( #309 ) ✅️
Why Your Support Matters Your kindness isn’t just about helping us meet our goal—it’s about reminding us that we’re not alone in this fight. It’s about hope. It’s about survival. And it’s about giving my family a chance to rebuild our lives, even in the face of unimaginable loss.
Thank you for helping us get this far. Your generosity and compassion have already brought us closer to a better tomorrow, and for that, I’m endlessly grateful.
With all my love and gratitude,
Mosab and Family ❤️

diy projects from this january

1) i finally sewed on this patch i painted in 2022(?) the design is taken from pig destroyer merch for their album phantom limb. it looks really wonky to me now but i'm still happy enough with it to wear it, though in the future i really want to paint some original designs!!! this is a hoodie i got from my highschool and this patch was designed to cover my school logo lol.
i highly reccomend pig destroyer's phantom limb album as well as their terrifyer album, they're lyrically so so beautiful to me
2) i've had these sneakers since middle school (nike, because my family was finally able to afford them and i wanted to buy from the Cool Brands everyone else did... i haven't bought from nike since lol) and i wanted to make them look cooler because they're comfortable and i gravitate towards them a lot. i used fabric from an old pleather skirt and keyrings because i don't have any jumprings.
3) soda tab chain mail!!! i've been collecting tabs on and off for years and didn't really have That many (as someone who doesn't drink a lot of canned drinks lol) i used this tutorial to make it :-) it's about long enough to be a choker or an upper arm cuff

via "jesus does the dishes" by wingnut dishwashers union:
But have we made it anywhere at all if the dishes are never done? If we can't live without dishwashers, how would we live without cops? And so you're asking me, who does the dishes after the revolution? Well, I do my own dishes now, I'll do our own dishes then You know it's always the ones who don't who ask that fucking question
something i've noticed that has become really annoying in the past 10 years or so is this fad of what i've been calling, for lack of a better word, "structural whataboutism." it's that thing where, when faced with a concrete, resolvable problem in your community, your answer is to blame it on a vast, unsolvable issue of structural inequality and then throw up your hands. "there's trash all over the ground in this corner of the park" becomes "well, that's where MEN OF COLOR congregate after their 12-HOUR GRAVEYARD SHIFTS and i'm not going to support a CARCERAL SOLUTION to a CAPITALISTIC PROBLEM. WE NEED TO ELIMINATE POVERTY AND THE SUBJUGATION OF THE WORKING CLASS" and it's like okay but sis. someone still has to go pick up the trash. we don't need a carceral solution, we need more trash cans. you're not going to eliminate poverty and the subjugation of the working class and even if ya did, there would still be trash on the ground. how any of this passes for radicalism within their peer groups i simply don't understand. it's radical laziness more than anything else

Since it’s Spotify Wrapped season I thought I’d share this reminder that streaming services are killing the music industry. Musicians can’t make a living like this. If you love an artist, find them on Bandcamp and actually buy their albums.
#rb#my combo is to pirate spotify premium and then use bandcamp to directly support my fave artists :-)#i think anyone who pays for spotify premium is a Sucker#why pay a streaming service instead of the actual artists. esp when said streaming service is Notorious for paying artists almost nothing

a whole bunch of gazan mutual aid projects and nonprofits. if the decision of which individual fundraiser to give to feels too daunting, or if you just want to help as many people as possible in one go, these are great initiatives to support.
care for gaza - focuses on providing food and essential supplies. donate here or here.
connecting humanity - securing internet access via donations of virtual sim cards (esims). if you can't afford a whole plan yourself, crips for esims is a communal pool that will use your donation to purchase and maintain esims
gaza soup kitchen - provides food, medical care, and classes for children. also has a gofundme
glia gaza medical support initiative - provides medical care through field clinics and tents at hospitals. donations can also be sent through their website.
ele elna elak - provides clean water, food, clothing, and shelter. they also have a gofundme
life for gaza - raising money for the gaza municipality to repair water and waste management infrastructure
taawon - partners with local civil organizations to provide food, water, medical care, shelter, and basic supplies
the sameer project - running various initiatives providing tents, medical care, and necessities. they have their own encampment project focused on sheltering families with children, sick and disabled members, or members in need of perinatal care
islamic relief worldwide's gaza emergency appeal - provides food, water, hygiene kits, medical supplies, and psychological support
baitulmaal - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, shelter, and medical supplies
gaza mutual aid fund - distributes food, hygiene products, water, and other essential supplies, including financial support. run by @/el-shab-hussein's amazing friend Mona. updates can be found on her instagram.
hygiene kits for gaza - provides hygiene supplies including menstrual products, wipes, and toothbrushes/toothpaste
anera - provides a variety of necessities, including food, water, hygiene supplies, medicine, blankets and mattresses, and psychological care
palestine children's relief fund - provides supplies and support with a focus on children. also has an initiative for lebanon
certainly this is not an exhaustive list, so please feel free to add on other projects or organizations that i didn't include. and as always, please take the time to donate if you can and share. it truly makes all the difference.

The tone of the messages that I have been getting from Gazans are increasingly desperate and negative. Can ICC end the siege? Can we talk about that. I know everyone is tired of boosting personal gofundmes

I thought I’d share an easy cleaning trick for leather bracelets, bc a few years ago I struggled with sweating under it and then after a while the bracelet would stink and I couldn’t wear it anymore.
My mom came to the rescue with an easy and cheap solution, mix baking soda with some water to make a sort of paste, put it on the inside of the bracelet and leave it overnight. Then rinse it off and it won’t smell anymore.
This works on real and fake leather!! With real leather I recommend putting something hydrating on it like leather conditioner or even olive oil bc it will kinda dry out and it will last longer when you do that

Please help me to save my family 🙏
My family and I are about to embark on this journey of hope, but we cannot do it alone. We humbly appeal to you, kind souls, to extend your hands to help. Your generosity may pave the way for us to escape this nightmare, and give us a chance to start again.
With gratitude overflowing from the bottom of our hearts, we thank you for every donation, every engagement, and every ounce of compassion you provide to our cause.

My family and I are looking forward to evacuating to Egypt, but as you know, a lot of money is needed to pay for the coordination costs in order to cross the border, and we still need money to get the total amount required so that we can travel.
With each passing day, our burdens grow heavier, and our pleas for help become more urgent. We long for the warmth of a safe haven, an opportunity to regain what we have lost and forge a path toward a brighter future
